    Thanks so much for taking the time and putting this together for us. I'm in the process of learning C4D after just completing a year of Blender training and this was VERY helpful in making the transition so I can work in both.

    Thanks alot for all your valuable tutorials! When you make an inset at 11:19, you select Clamp points on axis and Delete polygons on axis. In the newest version of C4D I cannot find these options. Do you know another way to do find those settings? All the best!

      You need to enable weld and increase the tolerance.

      @@polygonpen Hi, I had these same problem, amazing tutorial by the way, thank you for all you do, so increasing tolerance didn't help, so I just used edge mode and slide to duplicate the edge and then it doesn't cut across the plane

    One question: why do we turn off the "safe frames" sometimes (or mostly)? Unfortunately I don't know the C4D that good (I'm totally a beginner) so I don't know what are they needed for..

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It has no effect on modeling, just to make the viewport a bit bigger and more visible.

    Since I am an architect, I always need exact measurements how do I add bevels at precise measurements ?

    • @polygonpen
      @polygonpen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is not much possible or you need to be really precise with polygonal modeling, so I would suggest CAD/Nurbs modeling, softwares like Fusion 360, Moi etc.

      Polygon normals mean direction of polygons looing at, they should look towars outside.

    • @polygonpen

      it is the same old Cinema 4D actually, except the new icons and placements, looks more modern but nothing new for me.
      A huge modeling update is probably happen after the next update so I am preparing for the next tutorials, thats why I upgraded.
