My Grandfather had a homestead in Beryl around 1910. Just down the road from Modena. My father said the Lund store and hotel was the local hotspot. Just visited this spot sightseeing. Very cool. Check out Stateline Goldmine if you can find it.
That’s great, thank you for sharing. We have looked at property’s in the area. Maybe one day I will have a couple acres there. Thank you for watching and we will see you in the next one.
I was born in this ghost town; but it was hidden for some reason from the public. 😊😂😊 I found out a little while back that my birth certificate even says cedar City instead of Modena. But I was actually born at home and my mother passed away giving birth in one of the houses somewhere down in the area. I haven't found out which house it was just yet.😊
Hello, wow that is an amazing story, not much left in the way of houses. Do you live anywhere near the area? I love the area and we have looked at a few pieces of land out there. Thank you so much for the comment and watching and we will see you in the next one.
Hello everyone, We stopped by this amazing ghost town. Look at what we found from owl to old haunted buildings. Please remember to like and subscribe for more like this as you the viewer are the best part of what we do.
Oh lol. I used to live in the valley of of hwy 56. The general store was also the post office and we had to pick up our mail. I remember the owner Lady (Edith) cooking horse-meat in the kitchen on the left back of the store. I loved going there as a kid. Pronounced Moe-deena.
Thanks for the video. I am from Modena, Italy and I had always been curious to visit this small village probably founded by some of my fellow citizens in the late 1800s... I had the opportunity to do so in 1998, during my honey moon road trip in the southwest USA.. I still have some photos in front of the post office.. I thought and hoped it was still inhabited by someone but we did not meet anyone.... anyway very fascinating..
Hello, the post office is still there. They are working on it and did not film it this time. We will return in a few months and film the location again. Thank you for the great story and we will see you in the next one.
When I did visit Utah in the early 1990s ,most of these towns were in better shape then! I'm sure that weather has taken it's toll's on these ghost towns
Yes I think it has. Thank you for watching and the comment. A lot of sun and heat in the summer and plenty cold in the winter and I think that is hard on the old buildings. Tha last few years were hard financially for the small towns for sure.
Haha, that was funny, I was trying to be sneaky and respectful. Really had to watch my step a lot of old metal and nails on the ground, this town has not been picked apart and I would love to go through here with a metal detector 😬. But only the property owner can do that. Thank you so much for watching and the great comment.
Great video but I must address that you have a gift for narrating. You need to work for the likes of National Geographic or similar. It's really a shame that you aren't more in the public eye. I'm serious here. You need to put yourself in front and see. I confident that I'm right.

My mom has a headstone in graveyard.
Sorry, kitchen was at the back on the right. She also used to iron with one of those old cast iron that you heated up on the coal stove.
