China is just a modern First World country. Places like the UK or US are in large parts 2nd world countries, with only small pockets of concentrated wealth and hence development. Many large SE Asian nations are already far ahead in terms of new construction, aesthetics, safety, cute cafes, luxurious malls etc by comparison. It's just propaganda and living on ideas of the past that lets "Westerners" assume they have the best quality of life. Complete rubbish. Moscow is also far cleaner, safer, more luxurious and more impressive than any other European or US city.

And this isn't even China's best. Visit Shenzhen. You'll literally think you skipped time. Then compare it to the decrepit cities in the west. You'll realize just how backward and lacking the entire West is compared to China. Outdated trains keep going off track here in the US. Several such incidents have occurred here. I was in Beijing not too long ago, and I rode the Gangxia North rail station. I was blown away by the breathtaking architecture, cleanliness, and high-tech amenities. I've rode several trains in several European countries and most of the US. And I can confidently say that there is none-absolutely none-that compares in any way, shape, or form to that modern marvel of a train station. This explains why western politicians and media outlets love to trash-talk China or paint it negatively. China has come from behind and lipped several years ahead of the entire West. The Chinese are living in the future, and their government doesn't spare when it comes to public infrastructure. I have plans to move to Shenzhen. My job allows me to work from home, and my employer couldn't care less where I work from.
There are over 1000 parks in Shenzhen, which is the largest in the world. Shenzhen also has the most skyscrapers and modern streets in the world. The number of shopping malls in Shenzhen is almost 1000, and these convenient facilities may be unparalleled in the world❤❤

I was in China 25 years ago, and now the city life is unrecognisable compared with then. Every detail of the city facilties (e.g. wide roads, transportation, technology, trees, public art) shows that the planning is well thought out for the benefit of individual people. Asian and Southern countries understand this, but the so-called West will never learn.

Thanks for the video! I lived in Guangzhou for about 7 months - next door to New Town in Lie De - and I would walk to New Town Park and the mall quite often. The park is INCREDIBLE. So lush and green, all while being surrounded on all sides by massive skyscrapers. I never did a bus tour, but it's such an impressive city. When people who have never been to China think of China, they think of Shanghai and Beijing. Hong Kong is a sensitive topic, but they never think of Guangzhou. Show them this video, and they'll remember Guangzhou, I guarantee it. They'll say....where is this place? How have I never heard of it before? It's huge. It's got so many trees. My wife is Chinese, and GZ is where she did her final green card interview at the consulate (embassy? I can't remember) right in this general area of the video. It was surreal to see an American flag flying high in the China sky. Lol.
Guangzhou is the first provincial capital in Asia. Chinese mainland third largest city. Beijing. Shanghai. Guangzhou. Shenzhen. But Guangzhou is different from other cities. The other major cities are gathered by the strength of the whole country. Guangzhou has achieved such results on its own. Lovely city. Very charming.

I absolutely hate modern city design and prefer a more pedestrian-centric planning, however, I must admit this is a stunning city. Skyscrapers and tall buildings never wow me, but this has wow'ed me. Very very pretty!
But all of China's cities are pedestrian-centric though. They have very wide pedestrian sections that caters to hikers and cyclists. Unlike in the US where they're almost non existent and dangerous to walk or cycle to.

Thanks for the video! I lived in Guangzhou for about 7 months - next door to New Town in Lie De - and I would walk to New Town Park and the mall quite often. The park is INCREDIBLE. So lush and green, all while being surrounded on all sides by massive skyscrapers. I never did a bus tour, but it's such an impressive city.
When people who have never been to China think of China, they think of Shanghai and Beijing. Hong Kong is a sensitive topic, but they never think of Guangzhou. Show them this video, and they'll remember Guangzhou, I guarantee it. They'll say....where is this place? How have I never heard of it before? It's huge. It's got so many trees.
My wife is Chinese, and GZ is where she did her final green card interview at the consulate (embassy? I can't remember) right in this general area of the video. It was surreal to see an American flag flying high in the China sky. Lol.

Guangzhou is the first provincial capital in Asia. Chinese mainland third largest city. Beijing. Shanghai. Guangzhou. Shenzhen. But Guangzhou is different from other cities. The other major cities are gathered by the strength of the whole country. Guangzhou has achieved such results on its own. Lovely city. Very charming.

I absolutely hate modern city design and prefer a more pedestrian-centric planning, however, I must admit this is a stunning city. Skyscrapers and tall buildings never wow me, but this has wow'ed me. Very very pretty!

But all of China's cities are pedestrian-centric though. They have very wide pedestrian sections that caters to hikers and cyclists. Unlike in the US where they're almost non existent and dangerous to walk or cycle to.
