    Your counting and showing how to count and playing slow and then fast is peak teaching. Thank you!!!

    I can't tell you how enlightening the 16th note counting is for the main riff! I've been playing it for years, but it always seemed a bit off. Your lessons are awesome and in depth! Thanks for posting!

    I really appreciate counting the beats for riffs, because it makes the lesson complete and rooted in the rhythm. I also think it's important for complete beginners. Thanks!

    I've loved this song my whole life and have even said I feel it's one of THE great songs in the rock music catalogue, just so beautifully constructed and played, including John's fantastic bass playing and lines. The guitar parts, even though I had a good idea of the chords and notes invovled, always mystified to me as to what Jimmy was doing. This solved my questions, so thanks.

    Yeah picked the right guitar to do this on. Just needed the Supro to play it through. Thanks for this. Good job. Hey an eBay 70s navy velvet suit jacket would look great with the outfit.

    Excellent lesson...I have watched a number of lessons on this song and this is by far the best explained.I have difficulty with small fingers,so unable to do the thumb tap around,but can use bad chords!!!
    I live near Robert Plant actually in The Wye Valley,saw him many years ago in The Robin Hood in Monmouth,nice humble guy...Anyway thank you very much for a excellent lesson,I have put a big thumbs up and now subscribed.Wayne 💓👍🎸🤘

    Good stuff, thank you. I tend to play the power chords with my index on the 5th string and ring finger barring the D and G. I know is not conventional but it makes the pull offs and the main riff easy to execute, for me at least. But it's great to see the OG technique. I'm learning to use both techniques though.

    I’m digging your channel. I just subscribed. You really have the tone in your hands and playing.
    Just for fun: I like playing this one with a delay set to repeat the eighth notes. So I only hit the chord once but I’m getting the kick. I don’t know if Little Jim(wink wink) played it this way on the original recording (cause I don’t hear it really) but it definitely does something interesting. I got the idea from a live version I heard. If you like I can send you the link. Thought I’d share that with you. Stay frosty!

      Awesome! Thanks so much for the kind words and the sub! I'll def try this delay trick! Good point! Rocksteady!

    The first several Led Zeppelin albums Jimmy Page used a Telecaster on all the recordings. It sounded awesome hearing your Telecaster on this video.

    Hello Jason. First of all your lessons are First Class!! Secondly what is that cover/protector you have on your J.P. Telecaster? I have a new J.P. Dragon that I would like to put one on. Who makes them and where do I get them? Thank you, Robert

    Using your pinky to play the power chord makes no sense and has no real purpose. Here is a video of Jimmy Page playing it. Go to 36 seconds. You can clearly see his pinky isn't on the fret board when he hits the chord. th-cam.com/video/E-Xna3ny6KY/w-d-xo.html

    • @GuitarNinjas
      @GuitarNinjas  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      th-cam.com/video/4gDsbOraiqg/w-d-xo.html 1:12-1:19 watch Jimmy do it.... it's not done every time but his A string, E chord often uses the pinky as shown here
