All of you beautiful ladies shaving your hair for whatever your personal reasons are actually helping women who are loosing their hair to chemo indirectly because it’s becoming such a fashion or personal statement it’s no longer an automatic assumption that you’re sick with cancer. I just didn’t want to lose my hair because then people automatically think or know me as a cancer patient. I can go into society as a woman with a shaved head and not as a cancer patient. Thank you! ❤

I have a friend right now going through chemo and I was thinking about it but now after watching numerous videos I’m nervous about the awkward stages and how long it takes to grow back… of course I can supplement with wigs but honestly I’m scared…. I want to support her but I’m afraid… and my hair isn’t even that great…. It’s getting some grey streaks and the rest is a number of different colors due to coloring…. Help
@@chihuahuamartin24If it bothers you don’t do it. You can be a good friend in other ways, like gifting your friend a nice hat or scarf, if she wears them.
When I lost my hair to chemo, I was fine after getting over the shock, but I didn’t expect anybody to cut their hair in solidarity. It’s coming back oddly, like she said, but I’m really focused on my health. The hair will do what it wants in time.

I just shaved mine again last week and I love it because I first shaved it 3 years ago when my hair was very damaged and had bald spots from stress pulling. I felt so free but my family were saying things like “she must be mentally ill” and “she’s obviously poorly” which was hurtful but now I couldn’t care less!
It grew back thick and healthy, but the crown area never grew back! Then my scalp started getting inflamed and having braids started pulling my hair out around my temples, causing more bald spots frustrating me and lowering my confidence so I shaved it again and I feel great!!
I do want to really heal my scalp issues before I let it grow back again so I’ll keep shaving it for a few months.

Mood. I never felt attached To my hair and never liked doing it. It’s long and healthy. I truly only kept it bc ppl like my hair but I started to live for me. I cut my hair a week ago and I’m so happy I did

I just had number 3 on Sat, I did it to raise money for a cancer charity. I find it liberating, but hoping it will grow fast, I am looking forward to a nice grey pixie cut, my hair was pretty damaged, but it was down my back, but it had thinned out as I have aged. You look amazingly beautiful with short hair xx

This is the length I can't wait to get. I shaved down to the skin and my head is weirdly shaped lol. I look forward to having 2-3 inches for some little styles. Im having small goals this time. I shaved it to care for my scalp better.

Omg me too...i shaved my head a wk ago & I'm so uncomfortable...my man wants to see it but I just can't bring myself to show him🤦🏾♀️I'm never felt like this before...I want to embrace it but my head is oddly shaped😂idk what to do but my hair wasn't healthy & wasn't growing properly... realistically, I needed to shave it off & start fresh & that's what I keep reminding myself of b/c this struggle is REAL

I'm seriously considering shaving my hair off. I don't really like my hair and it's too frustrating to maintain. I'm picky about different hairstyles. Thanks for the encouragement.
People are disgusting I'm sorry. Why does YOUR looks affect them??? And why does looks matter??!! They obviously are miserable because someone could say they same about anything they do or wear and they'd probably take it as gospel and feel miserable. I was tired dealing with my thick very fine 4a hair after I'd pressed it for a Change but it started reverting hours later. I bought a box relaxer and 8-10 minutes it started melting into mush 3/4 fell out immediately and the rest was FRYED.😮😮😢😂.All I could do was laugh. I cut it to a short Bob for 2 weeks and yesterday said its time...I freed myself. The bad hair day has been resolved 😊.

i shaved it off 3 days ago because i went to a salon and they chemically burnt it and as a 17 year old its such a hard decision to shave it but i did so now i just put a wig on😭

My friends keep saying its just hair, but when you have alopecia its harder to accept losing your hair.
It’s because of the way u sleep. That’s y the middle is longer. I sleep mainly on my left side of the bed so majority of the time I’m facing left so my hair growth is shorter on that side. Front and middle always grows fast

The top of my hair grows faster too it’s so obnoxious it’s actually what’s making me want to shave it
All these will bother you if you are shaving for others or if you were not ready to let the hair go… if you are ready you won’t get shaken or regretful

I got told if I shaved my afro off hair would grow back better. I had alopecia so i couldn't be bothered with what little hair i had. But now nothing has grown. So I wear wigs or scarves. Her hair looks like it's grown well.

I absolutely love your hair ! I just did mine and i didn’t think I’d like but I actually love it . I may look like my brother but I still like it and it just opened my confidence up and I feel better . I had a lot of damage in the front so I need to take it off. Hopefully as it grows I can get my natural curl pattern back

I shaved mine due to an accident i had and some parts were shaved already to allow injuries i had free.. Plus before then it had stopped growing and was now a home for dandruff so cutting it was like yea why not so i would just look for how to treat my scalp.

Nice hair. Im guessing when you talk about having a shaved head, you mean hair when it's lower than this. Right now, your head isn't really shaved. It's short, but not shaved. But, the cideo is still helpful. Thanks

mine was so uneven i did a mowhawk … then i got mad at that and chopped it all off again. my pregnancy did a toll on me also… and he girls take all of our beauty

WE ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN...tribals.. that's what we do...hmmmm// without apology. We are africans where we walk all over Africa BALD AND BEAUTIFUL....NO APOLOGY OR THE NEED FOR PUBLIC ACCEPTANCE...When I had cancer, people stared.. I didn't care. Now it's the thing to do...lol wow this world is really losing it. Hair or no hair...beauty is where it is, on the inside. Who cares about people. we don't need approval. Live like "WHATEVER".
