    really like how megan discerned expressions that are specifically derived from the misogynoir deeply rooted in society. yes, black people in general are expected to take pernicious behavior with kindness instead of giving racists what they deserve but black women face a gendered racism no other group experiences in the same way. love her for using this platform to explain that to people.

      @@shakurioguhebe8533 idk about "mainly", but certainly a high amount (bc Megan is still most famous in Black communities). And that treatment by Black folks is not ok, but it makes sense considering misogynoir is often an internalized form of self hate that was originally taught/still enforced through white supremacy. This is where the light skin vs dark skin debate started.
      Misogynoir is the mistreatment & negative stereotyping of Black women in general, doesn't matter who its from. We need to work on changing it & confronting biases within ourselves. I have to work on it every day. ❤️

    • @cinemmatics
      @cinemmatics 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@shakurioguhebe8533 internalized racism is certainly a problem within the black community though it's still ultimately attributed to the white supremacist ideals that are socially conditioned into us from the moment we can conceptualize them. many of us have a lot to unlearn (i did too...don't even want to think of how anti-black and anti black WOMAN i was before i was introduced to social theories in college). i will say i still think it's more prevalent within the white population. my research area of expertise is misogynoir and anti-black racism in medicine and a jarring study i've come across found that black babies are twice as likely to die in the care of white doctors as compared to black doctors.

    IMOHO, her music is not just for women, but a clear and loud message for us men, too. The 1st time I heard her music was through her Cardi B duo, "WAP." She expresses what we men want to make a woman feel in intimacy but do not dare to because we underestimate or deify female essence. Let me just say that her music has made my marriage more enjoyable.👌❤

    I don't relate to Megan in every way but every song, every album she drops is better than the last in different ways and her entire body of work is something I so deeply adore. She went so hard on this album, it's incredible. She is so special. Her music is so good and this album had so much depth, in different ways than previous albums. Love her forever

    Brought me to tears, the emotional songs hit home for me, I will always listen to Megan Thee Stallion, she inspires me to be myself everyday and to work on myself everyday. I just wish that she had somebody she could trust, I mean she can't even trust calling 911 to help her out. I lost my mum when I was 9, I am 16 now and I miss her everyday but interviews and albums like this bring me to tears and really bring up the deep buried emotions I felt when I was first told she was gone. Megan will forever be in my heart and she will never flop in my eyes, she is amazing. Great job Megan. You do have the fans like me who do love you for who you are as well as your songs, fans who would never leave you even in your darkest moments. I just really wish I could get her to see this. 💖
