I have the 2020 and love it so much, getting the 2024. It's a perfect car for a small lady like myself, too. The handling is amazing and power is just right for me, I don't need a speeding ticket!
Great video! Thank you for your time and effort in reviewing the X3! My wife and I currently have a 2024 X3 on order that is due in this month (April). Our lease is ending on our 2022 Mini Countryman which is a vehicle that we had lots of fun in but would now like to upgrade into something with more safety features and a bit more room yet fun to drive as you mentioned in your video. FWIW, we also have a 2016 Mini Convertible and owned two other Mini's prior to that so we are very familiar with BMW in general. FWIW....we also own a 2018 Subaru Outback and have owned a wide variety of vehicles and trucks. My wife and I are closing in on 70 y.o. and the X3 checks many of the boxes on our list. Top reliability scores for newer models, Safety Pick+ IIHS, non CVT, plenty of power in the 30i (we test drove both the 40i and the 30i and found the 30i had a much better ride) , etc.. In regard to the manually adjustable steering wheel in the X3 rather than being motorized. FWIW, I believe it is better to have the manually adjustable steering wheel for several reasons. I say this because our son owns a 2023 X6 that has the motorized steering wheel. In the heat of summer, his motorized steering wheel has a shutter when it is coming into the driver position. It is obviously a heat related issue (expansion/contraction) and is under warranty however I believe in the long term the motorized steering wheel would become a reliability issue when out of warranty. Also.....having the steering wheel move in and out with every entry of the vehicle is overkill and is a serious wear item especially when there is one primary driver of the vehicle. Yes it's a "cool" factor but certainly something that is not necessary IMHO.
I own a 2024 X3 SDrive 30i in Brooklyn Grey. Good video. I like your approach and style. Power? Yes, more than adequate. Much quicker than I would have thought. Handling? Great handler. but I expected that from a BMW, very pleased and rides good. Some people complain of a stiff ride, but I prefer such. Value? I think it is a good value. Fit and finish is good. I think the fabulous transmission, the 8 speed ZF 8HP that this car sports is as much or more of a gem as the wonderful B48 engine is. It may be the finest transmission I have driven. It is very smooth and quick shifting. And it is a “regular” torque converter transmission. I’ve owned 2 dual clutch transmission’s and I loved them for their manual characteristics but I sweated have to repair or replace them. Very expensive.
I like the X drive model of the X3 for 2024. It’s a beautiful car and drives great. It’s more expensive than the budget models but sometimes you get what you pay for.. Test drive one and compare it to other cheaper models and great comfort.
Just purchased one for my wife, compared to RX 350, much more fun drive and handling, power is plenty for how she drives. Have 200 miles on it so not broken in yet but way faster than my 2001 x5
I have the one with an S58. Its amazing you can change lanes on the highway almost instantly with no body roll at twice the speed limit. 0-60 in three seconds flat
Good engine and transmission but mine rattled a lot. Thought it was a lot of plastic for 50k. Thought the Volvo might have some better workmanship. Just me.
I have a 2022 model, it is my favorite car I’ve ever owned. I’m hoping to get the 2025 model in August next year, looking forward to the refreshed version
Once you choose compact like this German one you must go for xdrive which is Awd, don't be cheaper for sdrive it doesn't take you much from pocket for mpg.
@ramzisunilabdullah696 Good question. I studied the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 and the Porsche Macan before buying this model BMW. The Benz is very comparable, size and price. The Mercedes has more power and torque. 255hp and 295 lb/ft of torque. I didn’t drive one. The deal breaker for me is that the GLC 300, and virtually all the Mercedes SUV line up are “mild hybrids”. To me it just adds more complication to the car than it is worth. The Macan isn’t a mild hybrid, but runs around $9,000 more for a comparably optioned car. BMW does mild hybrids also like the X3 M40i and others. These things may be unavoidable at some point, but in the meantime I plan to avoid them as much as possible.
I could care less about a power adjustable steering wheel. Just one more thing to go wrong. My mother's went out after warranty and it was $1000 to replace the motor!
It’s nice, but the Toyota Venza has more options.. At a lower price. A bit disappointed with that as I wanted to make the switch from Toyota to BMW but now I’m not so sure. 2022 Limited Venza has the rear view mirror that turns into a screen, steering wheel adjustment is electric, the moonroof has an option to frost the glass instead of closing the shade. Just a few things I’d like to see from the X3
Just tested both side by side and the x3 cabin felt more spacious and more quiet than the glc. The shifting felt smoother in the x3 but the glc felt more nimble and had more initial torque. Build quality of the x3 felt higher. Lastly, the big screen on the glc was less desirable but that was a personal preference. Decided on the x3 over the glc Next year there’s supposed to be a model redesign for the x3 btw. The front will look more like the x1, which is uglier to me
You can’t go wrong with either choice. I’ve owned a 2014 GLK, 2017 GLC & 2020 GLC. All great cars with very few problems. But the 2020 with 20 inch wheels ride a little hard. Just purchased a 2024 X3 and absolutely love it. Better handling without a hard ride.
Regarding the shifter, why is there a push forward for "Reverse" and the opposite for "Forward" - it defeats logic and in quick back and forward situations, as in backing into a mall spot, the logical mind overrides reality so be ready for a "honk on the horn" from an impatient approaching vehicle.
I have the 2019 X3, the chocks are a big disappointment, each time I ride Uber I feel the deference, it's a shame to see Toyota SUV has better shocks than BMW X3.

A truly fantastic vehicle. Reasonably price when compared to the competition.

Beautiful vehicle inside and out!!!
Fantastic review sir. Thank you and please keep up the great work!

I agree Volvo is a amazing company had a cx90 before my x7 and want to go back to the cx90
I love the Volvo but hate the info screen so much that I can’t see myself getting it.
I have a 2022 model, it is my favorite car I’ve ever owned. I’m hoping to get the 2025 model in August next year, looking forward to the refreshed version
I own the 2023 x3 x drive and it's more than enough power
dont know if youll see this, but do you remember if the ride was harsh on these rims?

What color is that stock black, sapphire black?
Holly cow that bonnet is massive, does it have a V10 inside? The GLC have less bonnet and more interior space.
Do golf clubs fit crosswise?
How does this compare to glc 300?

Yes, it is the best

Black Sapphire Metallic
White and red

@@spoiler9112 Yes it does 😊
We can’t decide between the X3 and the MB GLC 300 SUV. Which would you get?

@@glenngordon3117never owned a BMW but my first one will definitely be the X3, loved it at first sight 😊
X3, no doubt. I own one. No regrets. From here will be P Macan or remain with BMW and that because I care about fun drive and not just luxury
These vehicles are really nice! Such quality and such a fantastic looking and driving car. You won’t find a better SUV in my opinion.

German here; What is this "turn signal option"? That sounds like "steering wheel option" or "brake option". I mean, cars have turn signals, period?
I believe he was being sarcastic meaning that few people here in the U.S. use their turn signals anymore.
Just to let everyone know m-Sport ranges 53-57k
50K is too much
No run flats and NO spare............ makes NO sense !!! love the car otherwise, coming off 5 series

The glc 43 blows this away
The X3 M Competition blows that glc trash.
The GLC does not compare to this. Not in this lifetime or the next.
It's nearly invisible...how can anyone even see this on the highway?
The more I see of these completely black cars, the more I hate them. How do you see these cars at night?
Um headlights
My crash car BMW
Don’t like the exterior
Exterior probably doesn’t like you either.
I agree. I don't like it either.
