Young clients I think don't care. At all. I rarely shot for money but when I do first question is when they will get photos on google photos or somewhere where they can easily access and share them. Whether it is something like first communion or an event that ends pretty private - no one cares.
I do my personal "projects" on film. Either B&W for some documentary work or slides if it is more casual and I never share them online. I do show them to friends or family on prints or with projector (that is fun for kids I must say) but never online. Digital is great for everyday, fast, expensive (lots of photos) stuff like airshows, some train spotting and such stuff.
As for software, I've gone Linux long time ago and while it is not perfect solution, it is better then Windows or Apple when it comes to privacy. Still takes some effort to get everything I may need or want on computer so yeah, not for everyone.

      Thanks for sharing your experience.
I'm afraid new generations will learn the hard way that privacy is important.
Projected images are great, a projected film positive s really a whole different experience than digital. I was used to do som B&W positive conversion... I'll have to do it again. I love the results.

maybe you forget about fashion with collection photos for next year, legal photos for insurance, photos for crime investigators, etc. Adobe can no longer be used for professional work that contains sensitive content. it's a fact

@@multimagical3137 Just didn't mentioned all the fields where privacy is essential to not make the video even longer... but I agree 100% with you and I go further: Any connected computer cannot be used if privacy is the essence. Adobe is not the only one, all the OS have the same privacy problem. If the content is sensitive the only thing to do is to use computers not connected to the Net.

Stopped using Adobe products back in 2004 or so. Free open source software like Darktable and GIMP are more than capable to cover all raw development and photo editing needs.

yep. In case of a professional workflow with a lot of images is not that easy with open source software, but more we use it and more it will be developed, so it's worth a try.
I did not upgrades since CS6 and still use my 2012 mac and a Linux machine on the side.

@@LuigiBarbano Darktable has the Lighttable section for all the mass operations.
