About this space
December 1, 2020 - Under new management -This cabin, ‘Bird's Eye View’ is a charming cottage overlooking the small town of Newland in the heart of the High Country. The house was built by a young couple as their dream home, but dreams change and they moved out of the area. Now they gladly offer it to you as a vacation get-away! It is a perfect place for one or two couples, a small family and/or the outdoor enthusiasts!
The space
please note: You will need 4wheel drive November - March to navigate the driveway and road in ice/snow. Please check local weather updates and use caution traveling in ice/snow.
The main level entrance features a full kitchen, sitting area, dining table, and full bathroom. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, and many other cooking necessities.
A spiral staircase takes you up to the loft bedroom with sky lights and the feel of sleeping up in the trees.
Another spiral staircase takes you down to the bottom level where there is a living room area with a sleeper sofa, woodstove, laundry room, half bath, and deck with a hot tub and outdoor shower (the outdoor shower is only operable through May-October).
This unique home also offers a small yard, outside eating area, and grill on the upper deck.

The outside is lovely. Nice colors too! The inside isn't used optimally. At all. Lots of space wasted. Television up so high, that it MUST induce headaches. The windows not aligned... Nothing to shut the light out at some. The loft looks nice, but curtains where you don't want them and no curtains where you need them. Plus there are a lot of places hard to reach to clean with those window sills and that shelf all around. Tiles in the kitchen Very specific taste, way too busy for me. The form of the kitchen is nice though. Still, so much room for improvement!
