Money, for most of us, is the tangible evidence that we chose to spend a number of hours and our mental, emotional, and physical strength -- our life-force -- to live. This is why we fret over it so much -- we donated our lives to the system in order to get money in return, and those at the proverbial top cheat instead of work. While we are all busy at work, our money is living a life of its own -- paying our bills, enabling food for our households, helping the poor -- it's an entity that works for us, but seems to do less and less for us, not commensurate with what we sacrifice in life hours, that's for sure.
I think the champion the crumbs line is about the distractions. All these stupid little things we are celebrating, they just give us more stupid little things and divide us more. Thus distracting everyone from the bigger issues we are facing.

Good morning Cedric and Brian!! Tom did a great job addressing SO many issues in so little time. You are exactly right. If people want government control or want Big Brother to take care of them, I'll help them pack and chip in on their ticket to China if they think it's better there. If those people would find immigrates who are fleeing those countries for here and would have a heart to heart, maybe it would open their eyes to see how good they actually have it and what he'll it is for people in those countries.

Great review! A few reasons why the gov isn't getting rid of monopolies... they can (and do) use them as contractors to do things that are not completely under congressional oversight. Many partnerships have been formed between big government and the corporate monopolies such that the lines between government and corporations become blurred. Another thing is the revolving door between employees working in key positions at government agencies and then going to board positions or CEO and upper management positions in many corporate monopolies and global companies and visa versa. Resumes look like hodge podges of government and corporate paper pushers. Mainly people who do nothing but make policy and decisions about how the general population in the Country and the World is going to live their lives. Their decisions don't effect anything about their own personal well-being or everyday lives.
The only people who are effected by the big government and corporate monopoly system (it's no different, in fact worse in a socialist or communist country) are the one's who dare to speak up about how corrupt the system really is.

Love how Tom can fit so many topics of discussion in a song. Great reaction and as always love how you guys address this stuff as well. It needs to be spoken about and it needs to be more openly discussed instead of people just acting like nothing is wrong. It's no shocker that the love of money is the root of all evil, greed has ruined/damaged so many things in this country. It's important we speak up and address topics like these but at the same time it's really sad that certain platforms don't allow you to speak certain words or else you get your stuff taken down. Greed and control, I should include division in there too because these three are the biggest money makers right now for the media.

I’m 29 and I have been telling people since I was 14 to stop being afucking puppet I was an angry kid cuz I got to see the real world early and it broke me I was jumped on the streets more than once I’ve shot at and caught in drive bys and I know what it is like to be abused both mentally and physically all this happens to me so much. By the time I was ten I snapped and I would lash out at anyone and enedup spending most of my teenage life behind bars did I say most I meant all cuz I was in and out of the system since I was ten and didn’t get out until I was almost 19. When your a kid you hav le two choices when you finally have the real world revealed to you you can let it break you or you can find that fire within yourself I found my fire I just didn’t know it was akin to that of the flames of hell so I had to learn to control that anger cuz I knew I could hurt people I didn’t mean to if I didn’t in other words the system isn’t built to help us and if we want it to change we need to stand together if I need to put my life on the line so people can see the truth I’ll do it because even our freedom isn’t really free if men And women are willing to die for me why should I let that be thrown away by letting the country my family fought to help build go down hill. It’s time we make it know we see the games and see through the lies.

Only some made Rittenhouse a hero. Rittenhouse did not agree with that claim. He was in a difficult situation where he had to defend himself. He should probably have stayed away from the area, but I'm glad he was able to take care of himself.

The capitalist vs socialist/communist argument is ultimately all systems to manage material or metter. We need to not lose sight of that. In reality, we need to return to some system where our communities look something more like the Mennonite communities. Let not "systems" be the focus of how we manage human/resource affairs. Return to using technologies only to the extent it serves COMMUNITY. Drive through a middle/working class neighborhood with their garage doors up.... What do you see?
