You are lucky to have a hobby shop like that near you. I have not had any problems with Revell decals so far.The Horten was an influential design as well as the V-2 rocket. I really like your paint scheme.
Better call it A-4. V2 is just the Nazi name. And no, the Horten had no impact at all. The one test flight failed and the americans where testing flying wings at Northrop and other companies. The Ho 229 had no impact at all in development, it was just an elegant design for it's time, never operational. Nothing derived from it.
So nice to see there are still model stores around. None left where I live - only mail order now. Miss being able to browse shelves of kits and supplies.

What a fun looking little kit! It’s nice to have the freedom to build something without having to worry about what the real thing actually looked like.
National Geographic Channel did a one hour documentary on this plane and that project to determine how stealthy this aircraft really was. Some of the scariest World War II history imaginable!!
Not very much. The 262 already failed as an interceptor. These planes where missing airbrakes and proper air to air missiles. An 229 with X-4 rockets would have been interesting.
Grazie Francesco
A brief history about this kit: It was originally a kit from the Japanese manufacturer Trimaster, but never went into production before the company closed down. DML bought their tools and released them in 1992. Then Revell rebox the kit and release it again in 2021.
Nice build! I've done their 1/72 version some years ago and it went down very nicely, seems that in this 1/48 scale Revell have improved the details a lot adding the complete engines good to know!
Yep! This looks almost to be an 'upscale' of the 1/72 kit....which is very nice too! 👍 This 1/48 kit looks gorgeous , and I love the 'what-if' scheme used here in this video; it looks very 'authentic'!
Fabulous video, I'm in the middle of building this model &, through this marvellous video, I've learned some. Nice job & thanks so much for sharing. Good luck. ✌️
Awesome job my friend, I have the ZM in 1/32 and the DML IN 1/48…I’m inspired to do the Horten after completing the Hasegawa FW 190 D9 currently in work

REALLY great build, once I saw a conversion of this kit as a SW fighter, it has effectively a retro sci-fi vibe, if I remember there was also a 1/72 kit of it, don't remember the producer.
The 1/72 kit was designed by Revell (Revell-Germany at the time). It's mostly nice, but it doesn't have engines so you can look inside the shell through the exhausts. It also had poorly detailed landing gear and little of the internal pipe-work. I built one to a nice standard, but it took a lot of work. The more recent Zoukei Mura models are much, much better in either scale.
I got a model kit like this in 1/72 scale and built back when I was a teenager. Took me hours and one of the wings was warped slightly. A pretty fun experience though.

Wow, looks a great kit. Your local hobbystore looks fantastic, my local hobbystore is very good here in Australia, it's called Frontline Hobbies. Anyway Dusan, keep up the great work mate.
But in a very poor condition, because the plywood is rotten on large areas of the aircraft! Basically it's lost because it needs too much money and effort to restore all the plywood parts.. You have to replace all plywood and all rusty metal parts!
Awesome build/video!! I have the ancient Dragon kit of this aircraft from 1992. I actually dug out my kit from the closet and compared it to your current Revell kit and seems that all the pieces are the same, just different decals and PE. HAve my kit for about 15 years now and forget where I found it. At least this video should get me motivated to build it!! Great job!!
That's an AMAZING shop! You guys are lucky. Here in the good ol' USA people are greedy they strip good hobby shop of the best and rare items just to sell it at outrageous prices on line. What's sad, the mom and pop shop of my youth (which by the way were the best) are on the verge of going extinct. As always, AMAZING build (always goes without saying). So nice to see that old school, full service model shops still exist. I just wish I had one near me.
Right! I order from ebay mainly. My hobby shops are mainly RC
Best I have is a hobby lobby and that’s pretty inadequate in most cases
@Carlos C , that's pretty much my situation as well. There is a well stocked RC shop near my in-laws' home but they carry no static kits at all.

Love this aircraft … an inspiration of what we see in today’s design
The USAF B2 bomber
No way! Look up Northrop XB-49. Existed way before Horton's designs, and was actually studied for the B2.
Wehraboo myth. Northrop pioneered the flying wing long before the magical german triangle was designed.
