I agree. Brad is getting crushed lately. I think he is just making some odd calls. Mentioning his draws are not getting there, but some odd plays. Wish him luck, though. I will watch!!!
I play at the Lodge every few months and love the Club. It is a great place to play for people who love the game but don't have the study time or bankroll to acquire the necessary skills to move up in stakes. Thanks for your videos - I learn so much every time I watch.
Kinda easy fold for the action and position that each player is in during that hand.. Kevin can never to expect to bluff in that spot at such a high rate for it to be profitable. I think it's a pretty clear fold and good fold by Brad during the moment and his thought process was on point during that entire hand.
Poker is a game where people win or lose but with brad he first loses a big amount then recover it and then makes a profit. I think this dude loses intentionally to get the motivation to win. and this is content
If I’m going to take time away from my family to play poker, I’m going to do everything within my power to come back with more money than I started with, especially if I’m filming. I dislike losing more than I like winning. I’m the long run this isn’t the optimal mindset, but it’s what keeps me motivated. Also, there are some big wins coming, the vlog just needs to catch up to real life.
Congrats on becoming a dad! As a dad myself I can say your dad is truly proud of you. You are living the life you wanted in the most honorable way you can. What else could a father hope for his child. Keep true to who he raised you to be and you will not only be successful but happy. Just a fan who wishes good things for you.
Amazing fold with K 10 of spades, for just $400 more? You made it look easy,. You really are the best player of all the pod casters, and compared to many other pros you have no problem competing. Though it is hard when someone is worth millions and just keeps putting you all in. I hope all is well with your young family. God bless.
Simple observation that I have noticed, likewise you have probably noticed. Getting brave in the start then having to fight back is a common theme in your videos. I am not one to tell a pro how to play, but maybe reverse the cycle where it’s a tighter range from the start allowing you to play with your profits. I understand you study charts a lot more than I have, i am making an observation of what I find to be a common theme. BTW I liked and shared!
Brad, I appreciate how you described the AQ hand the way you did and don’t only show the good plays you make in poker. Glad you came back from that misstep.
The fact you realise you still have to work on some things is what will get you unstuck. You are a very likeable person and that will always get you paid. If I could offer you one piece of advice (unsolicited as it is, lol) Play a few wild hands in a session, step out of line 1 or 2 times, your image is solid.
I got to tell you, I went through a really rough patch about 10 years ago. I had a string of losses that were like boat over boat of things like that. I stepped away from the game for a while. For me it was a few years, for you maybe it’s a few weeks or a few months. But I would take a short break to regather yourself, it’s worked great for me. Now I don’t play near as much as you Brad but I play a decent amount. I’ve literally had maybe 10 losing sessions in the last 10 years, that’s not to say I don’t have a lot of break evens or small wins. But I’ve had my fair share of big wins too. Maybe think about it.
No doubt you know much about poker, but I always think how none of that applies to opponents that either bluff, throw crap on the walls, or don't play poker by the numbers. When determining odds preflop that system is, in my opinion, not very good. Mathematically it makes sense an A, K is stronger than a 3,2 preflop, but all it takes is a 3 or a 2 on flop and out the window that goes. I think post flop odds are more in line. And then the players who are good and play by the numbers got a good sense of how the Bradley dollars flow... There is something missing in your game that can not be determined by "mathematics" or "odds". It is almost like you need to develop several "calibration" adjustments depending on circumstances. But, if it makes sense these calibrations can not be based on these odds, math, or percentages. Poker does not always make sense so neither does this post I made :)
I know you're feeling down man but I really enjoy these videos and it goes to show even some of the best players have really bad streaks. You can be the best player in the world but if the cards don't work out, you can't win.
Haha, there are a few more sessions I played and filmed before I started doing the 10% giveaway. I’ve only played two sessions under the giveaway so far and they were both pretty significant wins ($2175 and $1920). Do you think he misplayed that 1st hand? Or am I being too results oriented? Like, he didn't necessarily get unlucky, he just didn't sniff out the weakness? This is a spot that's one of the toughest for me--when to continue with AK.

@@user-ld3si9iy6s The most likely Ax bluff would be Ahxh given that hand would turn the flush draw... except they can't have Ahxh because Brad has the Ah. If Brad didn't have the Ah I would argue it was a good call, especially if Brad had the Ad unblucking all of the backdoor flush draws that might bluff the flop. Without that you'd have to argue that Brad is exploiting a player who's overbluffing regardless of their draws.

@@user-ld3si9iy6s Except his entire voiceover was explaining why he was making a bad decision.
My favorite Home Alone reference to date 🫠👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@bradowenpoker I am not checking consistency but looks like you count your chips out front when you’re buffing
Honest question : Is being on of the most viewed poker vlogger makes you call more often for fear of getting bluffed on stream? That AQ hand seems to be a good example.
Love your commentary.
Why slow playing flopped King-high flush though? Its kinda a non-safe nuts that might get beaten later.
Love you content man. Been following for years now. I just signed up for the WTPgold but I live in Michigan and that offer isn't good for anyone living here. Just a heads up.
The first hand you player with AK was an absolute shambles of a play.
