If they actually made the characters decent, like Miles Morales, people wouldn't be as upset. But they don't. Because they're using diversity to cover up bad writing and unoriginal ideas.

@tellg0t090 100% the unintentional color changing wouldn't be great but if It had been made with the express intent of showing his current emotional state purely through the use of his color darkening over time could've been cool
It would’ve been cool that, like in some comics or even the 2000’s Hulk movie, Hulk got bigger and bigger the angrier he got, it would’ve been cool if his green color got darker as he gets angrier
also the bright green feels truly radioactive which fits the hulk beautifully ofc
so after that they went to Spiderman and said make all of them green every villain,and everyone had green somewhere,we never seen the "mark st. Patrick armor"

I'm assuming he was meaning for heroes themselves. Looking at it from the standpoint he's referring to the main character it sort of makes sense. That character will be shown in every page just about of the comic where as villains though true many after had green, outside of certain issues and storylines green goblin is not shown in most of Spiderman's panels. Which I would imagine the color to be used more often.

Hulk’s design is greatly inspired by Boris Karloff’s Frankenstein’s monster and even tho the movie is in b & w, the makeup was said to be green. This is too coincidental and believe it had something to do with the decision to make the hulk green, not just the fact that it was easier to print than gray.

Not to mention green is such a radioactive color for some reason. And honestly not entirely sure why but it somehow became the trend among many artist to portray radiation glows as green.

I always thought Green was intentional because the printers had limited colors and usually solid colors printed clean, while mixed colors could look muddy (for the same reason he mentioned here with the gray. Bad overlaps of the component dot pattern).
So heroes were typically primary colors while villains were green, purple, etc. (Green Goblin, Mysterio, etc).
Hulk being green was because he wasn't a "hero" originally, or at least you weren't supposed to know if he was good or not.
Honestly I'm wondering if Stan was misremembering here.
