You've just saved me the cost of a new machine, thank you. I was at the point of thinking i had better get a new one before this one goes 'pop!' but it is working perfectly now. Very happy viewer :)
I had the problem that suddenly my cups of coffee were getting annoyingly small, so I went to google, typed „sensor cups of coffee getting very small“ and immediately got recommended your video and after 2 mins of watching I knew the problem. I used my electric toothbrush with an old head and a bit of toothpaste to clean the pores of the filter, that worked very well and almost removed all of the clocked pores. Now I can enjoy my coffee again. Thank you!
Great! It also stops them getting blocked up if you use softened or preferably water filtered by reverse osmosis, see my video on getting pure water1: th-cam.com/video/mBmULd-pxfo/w-d-xo.html
Great video! Cups of coffee were getting smaller very slowly... Thanks to your video we managed to clean the pad holder and now we're back to great cups of coffee once again. Thank you very much for the clear video and instructions!
@@comeinhandynow SENSEO HD7864. I had the red light keeps flashing problem for several months, nothing I tried worked, I was about to buy another I then had a thought, I opened the small black magnet holder, removed the 2 small pads clean the inside left it in the sun to completely dry, then put it back together and used Scotch tape to seal the edges so no water could enter it, it worked, occasionally it flashes when I refill it, but stops quickly when I move it around a bit, it's been over 4 months now.
@@albiefraser4057 A common problem. I usually give mine a shake to get the magnet to rise up to the floating position. They get sticky. Sometimes I use an external magnet to pull it up.
I regularly put the filters in the dishwasher, so it always looks clean. To descale, I just put the filter in a bit of undiluted spirit vinegar. Voilá, always looks clean and simple to do!
Does it flow a whole cup without the pod holder in place? If it does it’s the pod filter and pin hole that needs cleaning more. If it doesn’t try running some de calcifier solution through it. I use vinegar. Do about 10 cup loads. Wash it through with lot of fresh water afterwards of course!
thanks for this didnt know you could remove the middle , have you ever had a problem with the lid locked down and not able to open the machine. ? sometimes we put 2 pads in by mistake (kids don't pay attention) and the lid can stay locked down for a while must be on a pressure lock or something. Any ideas on how to release it easily . many thanks
solved it i think, albeit untidy solution , i needed to ease a screwdriver under the front side into the coffee compartment and levered a little this released the pressure in the pad area , once the pressure was released the lid opened as per normal. My guess is filter was blocked causing too much pressure , over time it would probably have released but id waited 30mins so i eased it open !! Cleaned filter as per your instructions. HAppy coffee all
Glad you fixed it. Yes I have had the same problem when using the cheap amazon own brand pads without the centre filter in place in the pod, the paper split and it blocked the exit. Wouldn’t shift. Had to do as you did and lever it up but ended up also breaking a bit of plastic holding it down. Still works but doesn't quite sit flush now. Cross at cheapo pods!
@@comeinhandynow thanks actually im using senseo and carte noir but i don't clean it often enough !! great little machine I've had 10 kitchenaid expensive artisan things all that but in 2 years and this has lasted 3 already
Hi ny senseo is not bringing up any water. What can I go. Water tank is full. The noise is Greer as if it is coming through, but not 3v3n a drop. Just ordered 500 pods 😢
Hei,i just got a problem,my philips senseo, exactly like yours, doesn t recoqnise if has water, how can i solve that? Please reply me as faster u can ! And the middle button it opens and closes very fast and that show is a problem, hope u can give me an idea.
Sounds like the level sensor is not operating correctly. Either the floating magnet in the water reservoir is stuck (check it moves up and down with the water level, it is a black plastic block in the right hand corner) or the micro switch inside the unit is sticking (dismantle and check).
To avoid problems like this: Keep it clean, I put the pad holder every week in the dishwasher. The padholder looks like I don't like to drink coffee from it.
+comeinhandynow Great vid, mate! I had another problem with my Senseo, maybe you know how to fix it (?)... Today when I turned it on to make some coffee, the light started to blink but didn't stopped. I waited like 5 minutes and it stayed the same. Do you know what it could be? (couldn't find it anywhere) Thanks a lot!

Thanks, yes descaling is a recommended regular procedure. It is just that a lot of us forget to do it regularly.
My coffee maker still has very less coffee output even after the pad holder cleanup. Could you please make a video about dismantling of this machine

Does it come through with no pold and holder in place?
Will try that now
No nothing at all. It is making the sound, but nothing 😅
Trying to figure out this problem for a while thanks
The other alternative that I have also done is to remove and leave off the small round plastic filter.
You saved my day, thank you so much.
Cheers.

Thanks for your input! Maybe I should!
Machine clignote sans cesse, comment la réparer ?
cela sera causé par l'aimant du flotteur dans le réservoir d'eau.
secouez le réservoir pour essayer de le faire monter.
Worked! Your video is very helpfull.thx a lot.
have a nice year

Dear you also can use an old teethbrush 🤪
Thanks, yes I can imagine that would work as well. You still need to remove the small cap though to get to the hole in the metal as well.
Perfect! Now he only has to fix his nails.
