Purpose of Solar PV System

Hello! In this video, I am going to tell you about the purpose of a Solar Photo-Voltaic System, in short known as Solar PV System.
The main purpose of a Solar PV System is to generate electricity that can be used to run household appliances. Let us see how this is done.
Solar Panels convert the solar energy that they receive into electricity. The output of solar panels is what is known as DC, which stands for Direct Current. This cannot be used to run the household appliances directly, since they work only on 230 volt AC. Therefore, an electronic device called Inverter has to be used to convert the DC from Solar Panels to 230 volt AC. This can be used to run the appliances.
So essentially, a Solar PV System uses solar energy to produce 230 volt AC which can be used to run our household appliances.
