    Thanks for this video. I was having trouble getting my goals setup because it's February and everything is explained while you setup January but this video makes it so much more clear what to do! Thanks, I'm getting my aunt to plan with me and we are going to meet quarterly to discuss our goals! This covers my goal of building stronger relationships with my family and friends!

    Thanks for this! I’m curious about the additional 4 goals and how they are incorporated into the schedule. It seems really clear how to break down your one big goal, but how do we tackle the other four without derailing the priority?

      I've just started this, and I was unsure like you are of how to do it with a few goals, or goals that require reliance upon each other to work (eg I need to pay off debt to purchase my home, I need to build my website in order to reach my goal of my business launch- but to do that I need to have bought my home first etc)....so I've started by doing a debt paydown goal which ties in alongside my buy home goal, and have plotted that as one goal and plotted all the planning into my week as a priority, then I'm doing the same for my website but plotting the planning/time spent as a secondary priority- so I put my priority in first (debt/home tasks) then put my secondary priority in.
      I think it helps us prioritise goals and whether you actually need to meet ONE goal (my debt paydown:buy home) in order to 'unlock' the next(bought my home means less outgoings= more time and money to plough into business website launch.
      Hope that helps.

    Hi! I’m loving your videos! You explain everything clearly and in a different way from most productivity/planning TH-camrs. This is a new approach and I love it 🥰 I still have one question because I usually don’t struggle with the planning stage. I have trouble actually following the plan. Do you have any strategies for your day to ensure that you get these things done? Do you ever think about not doing the tasks you have for the day? How do you overcome this?

    Had to chuckle at your calendar there at the end. My January sheet looks just like it!
    A serious question though. I've not been good at calendars--ever, and I turn 65 this year! But there are things I want to accomplish! I understand getting things on the calendar, but my life too often gets derailed. My husband just retired, and my daughter, who has mental health issues, has a 15 month old. And there are times when I need to be Gramma.
    It's easy to say, Just put it on the calendar, but it's not that simple for me.
    BTW, I have major health issues that also sideline me from time to time.

      Right there with you. I have a planner, I make plans.....and then life happens, and what really happens doesn't at all resemble what I planned. I've come to realize that my week didn't get derailed - my life happened. I can either flow with what life brings me, while setting some targets to aim at - or I can fight the flow and try to stuff my life into those neat little boxes in the calendar, and have a series of activities that looked great on paper but were hell to actually make happen and still feel like I got nowhere. I can give the people in my life my time and attention, or I can give it to those stupid little boxes. Nobody lays in their deathbed wishing they'd spent less time on their loved ones.

      @@jms9057 So true! When my girls were young, I kept a to-do list. But I also listed all the interruptions and marked them as completed! I may not have taken care of most of my original to-do list, but I also had a record of what all I did accomplish!

    • @laurentiatania
      @laurentiatania 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      i feel you, sometimes things happened and make our plans derailed. what helped me the most ( and also helps me not to feel overwhelmed) is to simplify my to do list- simplify it down to only 1 main goal per day ( the most important thing that will make other things in the to do list don't matter or less matter ) and just by achieving that one thing you feel you seize the day .., do it the first thing in the morning and not stopping until its done. that's why it's called priority and not priorities. read it from the book called " the one thing" by gary keller
