This sounds SO much like me. Raised sort of Christian, always believed in God but couldn’t quite swallow some of the “truths” about Christianity (see the holy trinity, literally got kicked out of bible study as a preteen for asking difficult questions of the teacher). Now I’m coming around to Islam, researching and praying. My husband was also non practicing and randomly started praying again. It makes so much more sense to me now that I’m ignoring the media and learning for myself. I haven’t said shahada yet but I’m strongly considering it. I want to be 100% sure.

Girl I feel you, my family is Christian but I lost interest in religion around 10 years old. By the time I was 14 years old I didn’t claim nothing, age 15 I started to get into Buddhism and I loved it because it helps you be aware of your body and your emotions. When I was 16 I met my partner he's from Yemen but I didn't pay attention to his religion at first like I loved the Islamic religion and I was always watching youtube videos about it before I met him. I didn't know that I could convert until he educated me about the topic and his aunt gave me more knowledge about it. Now I'm 18 years old and converting in a few months. I did worry at first because I didn't want Muslims to judge me or be mean to me since I'm not from an Islamic country but my partner and his family are so supportive and now I can't wait!

I wasn't a Muslim when I met my husband, but I was very open-minded to all religions When I met his family It was the most beautiful thing ever they just radiate the love of Allah and Islam. The hardest thing about being a Muslim is the unnecessary judgment from my entire family and the prejudice when looking for a home to rent or employment.

I was born muslim, in a muslim family, in a muslim majority country (indonesia), to be honest it was quite hard to maintain my imaan and to practice ibadah. I always admired converts because they’re somehow managed to be a better muslim than a muslim-born such like myself. It’s refreshing to hear your story. Alhamdulillah you’ve found the right way :)

My wife found Islam around 2006, six years before we met. Interestingly, she travelled to Australia (and Vietnam etc) as part of her journey to find meaning and purpose. We live here in Oxford and I'm sure when I forward her your story she'll def want to email you and wish you success. We have a great network in Oxford called 'Finding Faith' which provides an opportunity for both new and long term converts (or reverts if you prefer :)) to share their journeys and generally support one another.

My partner is Muslim and has actually introduced to Islam. What really opened me up to it initially was how she mentioned that it wasn't a religion that's forced upon others. And I wanted to make sure that in my heart I wasn't doing it wholeheartedly for her as it would only lead to a meaningless connection, let alone a connection whatsoever. Prior to this, I was never a religious person but I did believe that someone/something created the universe & us people. I could never wrap my head around the myth that we are here due to very very specific circumstances. Reading the Quran just brought this unknown peace upon me that I can't explain. And I really want to expand my belief to the fullest extent to truly feel the full impact of Allahs grace. Inshaallah to everyone beginning their journey into Islam

The process in its self is but a test from Allah and if we can see it through then I truly believe the reward is beyond measure. It's almost 10 years since I converted alhamdulillah and I can honestly say islam is a journey and we never stop learning, alhamdulillah which in itself is a really beautiful thing.

      Quran, 2:127-137, al-Baqrah(The Heifer)
      127. As Abraham raises the foundations of the House, together with Ishmael, “Our Lord, accept it from us, You are the Hearer, the Knower.
      128. Our Lord, and make us submissive to You, and from our descendants a community submissive to You. And show us our rites, and accept our repentance. You are the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful.
      129. Our Lord, and raise up among them a messenger, of themselves, who will recite to them Your revelations, and teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. You are the Almighty, the Wise.”
      130. Who would forsake the religion of Abraham, except he who fools himself? We chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.
      131. When his Lord said to him, “Submit!” He said, “I have submitted to the Lord of the Worlds.”
      132. And Abraham exhorted his sons, and Jacob, “O my sons, Allah has chosen this religion for you, so do not die unless you have submitted.”
      133. Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, and he said to his sons, “What will you worship after Me?” They said, “We will worship your God, and the God of your fathers, Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac; One God; and to Him we submit.”
      134. That was a community that has passed; for them is what they have earned, and for you is what you have earned; and you will not be questioned about what they used to do.
      135. And they say, “Be Jews or Christians, and you will be guided.” Say, “Rather, the religion of Abraham, the Monotheist; he was not an idolater.”
      136. Say, “We believe in Allah; and in what was revealed to us; and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus; and in what was given to the prophets-from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we surrender.”
      137. If they believe in the same as you have believed in, then they have been guided. But if they turn away, then they are in schism. Allah will protect you against them; for He is the Hearer, the Knower.

I have also in a process of reading the Quran with meaning to understand it completely. I lost my job in this pandemic, but I thank Allah for giving me this time to understand his religion. People like us who are born Muslims are still unaware of the preciousness of this wonderful religion. You are not required to be a perfect Muslim in a short time. Even we are not perfect as well in many aspects and we ask help to overcome challenges from Allah and ask forgiveness for our mistakes, then everything makes sense. It's like a sweet cake that you will love if you taste it bit by bit, not all at the same time. Slowly everything will be alright and makes sense if you trust Allah in your journey. You are a brave lady Mashallah, may Allah bless your family with the sweetness of this faith.

No manuscript from 1 or 2 century and some credit card sized pieces of manuscripts from 3 century. And no two are identical. Answer that did Solomon pbuh have 4000 stables and horses or did Solomon pbuh had 40000 stables and horses. Lol.😅😅😅

*And (remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allâh?'" He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not know what is in Yours; truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden (and unseen). "Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allâh) did command me to say: 'Worship Allâh, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them; and You are a Witness to all things. *4) QUR'AN: Its Manuscripts are worse than its Qira'ats!* - *The 2 Birmingham Folios*
      th-cam.com/video/HS3pCDksDkM/w-d-xo.html
      *The Birmingham Folios (M157a)*
      *Dating:* 568-645AD
      *Includes:* parts of S. 18-20
Only 33 verses, out of 6,236 in quran
Only 33 verse, out of 343 verses in these 3 chapters
Thus, not a full quran at all...laughable.
      Surah 18:17-31 - The 7 sleepers of Ephesus (Metaphrastes & Sarug 521AD)
      Surah 19:91-98 = Proto-Evangelium of James (145AD) & The Pseudo Gospel of Mathew (600AD)
20:1-40 = The story of Moses
Clearly plagirising previous Judeo-Christian teachings...typical quranic bastardisation.
*NOTICE:* All these stories are outside of Islam and the Quran. Borrowed from much earlier sources. Hold onto this thought.
*Scholars disagree with the early dating:*
*Efin Rezvan (Russian scholar, Bham Uni, 2015)* says, "Birmingham fragments show several textual variants as well as verse numbering differences...The very early dating of all these fragments - before the reign of Uthman - casts doubt on both the Islamic tradition...The fact that the folios were kept for centuries in an iron box, underground can partly explain the early radiocarbon dating...
Parchment was an expensive material. Monastic and state scriptoria, located on the territory of Greater Syria (al-Sham), Antiochia, al-Hira and Alexandria areas, could store this valuable material (including the donations of the pios laity). These stocks became part of the loot captured by the Arabs in the first years of the conquest. Captured leaves were used for writing the Quran."
*NOTE:* If the latest date is 645AD this disputes the traditional timeline (Bukhari) since Uthman doesnt create the canonical quran until 652AD.
*Emilio Platti* (translation): "The Mingana 1572a corresponds perfectly to the text of the Uthmanic vulgate...pointing out differences with the Sana codex - unquestionably the oldest manuscript, which therefore means that this Birmingham fragment is subsequent to the oldest manuscript.
*NOTE:* Emilio implies it would be past or after 705AD.
*Dr Alba Fedeli* (found the folios and sent to Oxford for study) states that "paleography gives a hypothesis" - it is not exact, and carbon-dating informs us only about the date of the death of the animal.
*Assistant Professor Suleyman Berk* (faculty member of Yalova Uni Islamic Studies Faculty Turkish Islamic Art History Dept), and collector *Mehmet Cebi* challenge Birmingham Uni suggestion that it has found the worlds oldest Quran: "This finding did not cause any excitement in me.
It is clear that the Quran pages they have belong to the end of the seventh century and the beginning of the eighth century. We have seen many copies of the Quran written with that script in that era. The Turkish Islamic Arts Museum even has the largest collection of such transcripts...it is clear that the quranic pages at Birmingham Uni and the ones that we have belong to the same era.
*Dr Mark Durie - The Quran and its Biblical Reflexes*
In his book he compares a chart of the dates of the Sana & Bham scripts.
One of the datings at the Lyon laboratory dates the Sana script to (388-535CE) way before Muhammad
Given this anomaly, the sample manuscript page was sent to 3 other EU laboratories to be verified.
      *Sana A Kiel (410 - 460 CE)* 100 years before MoMo!
*Sana A Zurich (480 - 546 CE)* Much before MoMo
*Sana A Oxford (504 - 550 CE)* Again prior to MoMo.
(Note, this is the same laboratory that did the original dating for Birmingham Uni)
*Sana A Lyon (388 - 535 CE)* The sample which was verified by the 3 EU labs above.
      *Life of MoMo (570 - 632 AD)*
      - *80-240* yrs too early
      - Uthmanic Recension (652 AD) - *100-260* yrs too early!
*Conclusion:* Radio-Carbon dating does not date the ink when written. Only dates the period when the animal died.
      - Four of the datings are from 4 different labs, but date the same manuscript page (i.e. the Sana'a A)
      - Note that these are 95% probability ranges, using the "Bell Curve", so that the highest probabilities are nearer the center of the bars, and not the ends (which does against what our Muslim friends have been saying)
      - The Sana'a B, C, and D manuscript pages were dated in Lyon
      - The Birmingham folios were dated in Oxford
      - *All 4 Sana'a A examples, dated at 4 laboratories, completely pre-date: Muhammad, the Quran and Islam!!!*
      - *All the folios, including the Sana'a A, B, C, D, and the Birmingham folios (except for E) pre-date the Uthmanic recension!!*
      - *There is something SERIOUSLY WRONG here!!*
The traditional dating of the Quran is wrong, and the Quran was created sometime around 450-500 AD and the Muhammad story was attached to it much later.
      - None of the really early manuscripts seem to have the verses referring to Muhammad in them those passages are missing...Coincidence??
      - Since Muhammad is NOT listed in the earliest dated folios, this suggests that the Quran is made up of borrowed material which would naturally predate MoMo, the quran and thus Islam!!!
      - These must be earlier Arabic writings, from which the writers of the later quran borrowed.

      Your first point is wrong
Rather, Islam made Western civilization flourish and advance scientifically
Your second point is that it is for Arabs
      No
Because God said (We did not send you but a mercy to the worlds)
But we do not translate it literally into another language, because all languages do not match Arabic in pronunciation and meaning
Your third point: prayer to Mecca
      mistake
Because Abraham was the one who built the Kaaba, so it was the first house established for worship
He has the right to be a destination
Your fourth point: It is wrong because God understands every language and every person calls God in every dialect and language, but prayer has specific remembrances that we do not change. There are places that claim God in every language you know.
And your point in the dress: It is wrong, because most of the people in the old days until the West, their clothes were the clothes of the Arabs, but or a relative of it, but with the invasion from the West to the Islamic countries, their clothes became like the clothes of the West
Your point is to take care of the body
Whoever says that the care that is mentioned in Islam is specific to Arabs, rather it is better
Your point in marriage is the Islamic way, but with the abundance of adultery and the like, it has other methods
Your point in the names is wrong, so many Muslims have foreign names, even though Arabic is better because it is the best language

      👉 251 Errors/mistakes in the Bible!
🔸️The Ultimate proof the Bible can never be the word of God!
      🔹️This's [Part 1 of 7]
A lot of people claim the Bible is perfect and without error. Most of these people have never actually read the Bible, other than cherry picking the few verses they think are nice. (Told by priests)
Note: The following analysis has been performed/extracted by a former pastor.
❗We apologise if you find the following offensive, but it's only a response to those spreading hate and fabricate lies against Qu'ran (The true word of Allah the creator of heavens and earth)
▶️ The Problem is that the Bible is literally full of scientific/historical/Geographical errors, contradictions, obscenities and so on in nearly every way possible.)
So we're presenting 251 grave errors out of the 100s in the Bible.
      👉1)- Brief Info: (A-D)
👉2)- Historical and Geographical errors in the Bible: (1-34)
👉3)- Scientific errors of the Bible: (35-66)
👉4)- Contradictions and internal errors in the Bible: (67-251)
      🔘 Brief info:
      A. Over 450 English versions of the bible!
      B. All are translated using different methods and from entirely different manuscripts!
      C. Thousands of manuscripts disagreeing with each other wildly in what verses and even books they contain, and how those verses read.
      D. Different translations teach entirely different things in places, some often leaving out entire chapters and verses or containing footnotes warning of possible error due to uncertainty about the reliability of the numerous manuscripts.
🔘Historical and Geographical errors in the Bible:
      1.
River Gihon could not possibly flow from Mesopotamia and encompass Ethiopia (Gen 2:13)
      2.
The name Babel does not come from the Hebrew word 'balbal' or 'confuse' but from the babylonian 'babili' or 'gate of God' which is a translation of the original Sumerian name Ka-dimirra. (Gen 11:9)
      3.
Ur was not a Chaldean city until 1000 years after Abraham (Gen 11:28, 15:7)
      4.
Abraham pursued enemies to 'Dan' (Gen 14:14). That name was not used geographically until after the conquest (Judge 18:29)
      5.
Gen 36:31, telling of Jacob and Esau, lists kings of Edom "before there reigned any king over the children of Israel." This must have been written hundreds of years later, after Israel had kings.
      6.
Joseph tells Pharaoh he comes from the "land of the Hebrews" (Gen 40:15). There was no such land until after the conquest under Joshua.
      7.
The Egyptian princess names the baby she finds "Moses" because she "drew him out" of the water (Heb meshethi). Why would she make a pun in Hebrew (Ex 2:10)?
      8.
Moses refers to "Palestine" (Ex 15:14). No such name was in use then.
      9.
Priests are mentioned at Ex 19:22-24, but they are not provided for until Ex 28:1.
      10.
Moses mentions Rabbath, where Og's bedstead is located (Deut3:11). Moses could not have any knowledge of Rabbath, which was not captured by the Hebrews until David's time,500 years later (2 Sam 12:26).
      11.
Jericho and Ai (Josh 8) were both ancient ruins at the time of the conquest of Canaan, according to archaeologists. Jericho's walls were destroyed centuries before Joshua.
      12.
Kings are referred to at Deut 17:17-19, before Israel had kings.
      13.
The Wilderness is viewed as history at Num 15:32, showing that Numbers was written later.
      14.
The Sabbath law was unknown when the man gathered sticks at Num 15:32-34.
      15.
Book of Joshua refers to Book of Jasher in the past, mentioned at 2 Sam 1:18, therefore Joshua must be post-David.
      16.
Captivity is mentioned at Judg 18:30, making it post-Exile.
      17.
David took Goliath's head to Jerusalem (1 Sam 17:54). But Jerusalem was not captured until 7 years after David became king (2 Sam 5).
      18.
David paid 600 shekels of gold for the threshing floor (1 Chron21:22-25). But shekels of gold were not yet used in business transactions (this is the only use of the term in the OT).
      19.
Psalm 18:6 mentions the temple, thus cannot be by David.
      20.
Defeat of Sennacherib did not happen at Jerusalem, but at Pelusium, near Egypt, and Jews were not involved, contrary to 2 Kings 19.
      21.
Ninevah was so large it took three days to cross, i.e. about 60 miles (Jonah 3:3-4). Yet it had only 120,000 inhabitants, making a population density of of about 42 people per square mile for a city.
      22.
Daniel's account of Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar is historically inaccurate; Nebuchadnezzar was never mad. Belshazzar, whom he says was king, was never king, but only regent. Belshazzar was not the son of Nebuchadnezzar, but of Nabo-nidus. Babylon was not conquered by Darius the Mede, but by Cyrus the Great, in 539 BC (Dan 5:31). Darius the Mede is unknown to history.
      23.
Mordecai became prime minister to Xerxes (Ahasuerus), who reigned 485-465 BC. But Mordecai had come to Babylon in 596 BC with Jehoiachin (Esther 2:5-6).
      24.
The office of "High priest" of Mark 2:26 did not exist in David's day.
      25.
None of the Gospels are mentioned by early Christians, e.g. Paul, Pope Clement I (97 AD), Justin Martyr (140 AD). The first mention of any Gospel is by Irenaeus (185 AD).
      26.
There is no mountain from which one can see all the kingdoms of the world (Matt 4:8, Luke 4:5).
      27.
Matt 2:1 says Jesus was born in the reign of Herod, who died 4 BC. Luke 2:2 says he was born during Quirinus' governorship of Syria, which began 6 AD.
      28.
Thieves were never punished by crucifixion (Matt 27:38, 44).
      29.
No crucifixion would have been performed on the eve of Passover.
      30.
There is no contemporary historical confirmation of darkness covering the earth at the crucifixion (Matt 27:35, Luke 23:44).
      31.
There is no contemporary historical confirmation of the slaughter of the innocents by Herod (Matt 2:16-18). Josephus, whose history contains much criticism of Herod, does not mention it.
      32.
In Mark 7, Jesus quotes the septuigant while arguing with the pharisees, in a portion of the old testament (Isaiah 29:13) that reads drastically differently from the Hebrew text. A Palestinian reading from a Greek text that contradicts the Hebrew to orthodox Jews is unusual to say the least.
      33.
In Mark 10:12 Jesus tells Palestinian listeners that a wife who puts away her husband commits adultery, this would have been meaningless to Palestinian listeners where only men could divorce.
      34.
In Mark 5:13 Jesus casts out devils and forces them into 2,000 swine who then run down into the sea and are drowned, this is said to have occured in Garasenes - 31 miles from the sea. In Matthew, which was written later, this is changed to Gadara which is much more feasible.
🔘 Scientific errors of the Bible:
      35.
Earth is about 6000 years old, as calculated from the genealogies in Gen and Luke 3. (A Clear error against science)
      36.
Birds were created before land animals (Gen 1:20, 24). - Fossil record shows exact opposite
      37.
Earth has four corners, and floats on water (Isa 11:12, Ps 24:2, 136:6, Rev 7:1).

It’s not about challenges but about revelation.
Clearly this woman only thinks as a human, in her own mind.
She has not yet received the revelation from God. She only reasons intellectually. So sorry for her. But if you want to know what is the prerequisite to go to heaven and not to hell, here is the answer:
John14v6: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
If you want to know if the Lord Jesus is God, here it is, plain like black on white.
John 14v9: Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
No man who ever lived or lives on this earth can say such a thing except Jesus alone because He is God.
Some will challenge this saying "Oh Jesus said: 18“Why do you call Me good?” “No one is good except God alone." (Mark 10v18).
Well in fact what the Lord Jesus is doing here, he is addressing to the Jews by just playing on words. He is telling them you call me good but you do not believe that I am God (remember they stoned him for saying He is the Son of God). Yet you call me good, however no one is good except God. So here he is clearly confronting the jews about their belief of who He is. He is God because only God is good.
And if you are not convinced yet, then read John 11v25.
John 11v25: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. 26And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” Only God alone is life and can give life to someone. So Jesus is Lord and God.
No wonder Thomas said in John 20v28 “My Lord and my God!”
And our Lord Jesus did not rebuke him, instead Jesus said "Now you believe?” (I am paraphrasing)
Read it for yourself in John 20v27-29
27Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!”
29Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” …
So my friend STOP doubting. Just believe. He is our Saviour and Lord. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Praise be to his name. God bless you and may our Lord Jesus open the eyes of your mind.

Your Journey so far, is great to be a movie, that I would pay a Cinema ticket to watch.
It became almost an addiction to to big stream of people to watch and follow Revert/Convert stories and the way they've navigated their way through obstacle of life to reunite with their creator before their time on this earth is up, that they've never had a direct and proper relationship with, and naturally experience soul feeding that only can be fed by the remembrance of It's maker.
You've certainly made the right choice, that 100s if not 1000s make everyday worldwide, that most of whom they're unable to share their stories for different reasons.

      You're very welcome sister.
Just remember take baby steps to develop your knowledge in your Deen, and practice in a slow motion, and don't over burden yourself. As Allah the exalted said:
{Allah does not burden any soul with more than it can bear,..} 2:286
But keep reading from the Authentic sources, and watching videos of righteous scholars and prominent snd known people to expand your knowledge the maximum, as your family would certainly wants to know a lot about your faith and life, that only can impact them and touch them if you have the knowledge and passion to share with them.
And always more acceptable when they see it and hear everything from you, then from others.
And Where's your Video Part 2?
Salam Alaikum, Peace be to Everyone.
