- So, what shape does that water have?
In this episode we take our inspiration from a beautiful movie, namely The shape of water. Creating the amphibious creature with DIY methods was a challenge, especially when it came to the paint job.
There are many steps to take and a lot of detailing so this is one of the few videos we've posted with a skill level of Ninja. It's also one of the reasons for it being so long.
We suggest you watch the movie The shape of water to get a nice reference of the creature before you try to recreate this look.

If you still care the overall project probably didn't take that long but she most likely worked on and off for a month or two. Knowing many cosplayers they tend to work on. Couple of protects over a longer period instead of one all at once

I really admire Elli's patience to do this type of looks. In videos it might look like 30minutes or 3hours but I guess it's more than 2-3days. Gosh, she admire me to become a SFX artist.

Everyone's been talking about this movie ever since it won the Oscar. When I watched it, it was in one of those tiny cinemas that only show movies that aren't popular and aren't expected to ever really be. We just found this tiny little ad for it somewhere and we thought it sounded like a good movie and now we can brag that we saw it before basically everyone else. Seriously, the cinema was almost empty. Anyways, though I wouldn't call myself an "expert to ninja" after only doing two realistic and good-looking, but admittedly very simple wounds on my face, but I'll be planning to recreate this anyways just because I love the movie, it looks awesome, I need a motivation to make a face cast and a reason to treat myself to a 500 ml bottle of liquid latex and an alcohol-activated paint palette.
