This isn't a show, this is an experience. Mine is still lingering in my mind for a decade now.
I had the privilege of experiencing this performance in a... psychedelic situation in Minneapolis around 2010 perhaps. Still one of my absolute favorite memories from my entire life. At the end the entire audience literally bowed to him and cheered, we were all in awe of the beautiful sights we had seen.

Deep Jinx is possibly one of the nastiest experimental electronic tracks ever produced. Amon is the master of his craft.

Agreed and the animation produced for it here is justice.
And the red-blocks back into the cyan piece at 39:17 is casually fascinating.
Never saw this on its original tours, became infatuated with the youtube version. So glad I got to see this live home in the bay for the last showing. What a blessing.

Those granular and pitch shifting effects from the Kyma pacarana, sound incredible.
So Amon Tobin actually routes his live mix through the Kyma Pacerena using direct-in or as a stereo effects loop might I ask if you happen to know, bitch?
@@bijoucassell4587 TF if I know, I just know Kyma is a bad ass piece of kit…but the 5 or 6k price tag is a bit too rich for my studio.
Just heard some Kyma users mention that Amon used it pretty heavily on this set.
@@AdamsBrew78 I used to own s korg oasis modular pci card, a full tdm pro tools rig, and a hardware Serge modular synthesizer and I at one time thought about swapping all of them for a Pcmcia Kyma rig, and then I took a class at UNT called Electronic Composition & Performance.
They had a Kyma rig set up in there and I swear to Christ, the UI looked older than Windows 3.11 and it was built very similar to Native Instruments Reaktor software modular synthesizer.

This is one of the best shows I've ever been to. In the Berkeley amphitheater it was like a forest fire of weed smoke and the bass was ludicrous.
I would love to attend one of his live shows, does he usually do visuals like this?
Doctor Moore I've seen him twice and the first one was just a normal show. I think this is the first big visual thing he's done but I could be wrong.

Yea I saw this in pomona, CA. Went to both the 1.0 tour and the 2.0
Still 2 of the coolest electronic music shows I have ever been to.
There was a surprising amount of older people at the show, like people well over 40. Most seemed to be tripping on something or other lol.
i was there too. @Paint Nomics speaketh the truth. (tho i personally wasn’t on acid, most the ppl I knew who went were or were on other things.)

He didn’t. Look up the documentary on the making of the live show. Lots of artists were involved. The music is all him though.

These concerts where incredible. Theres that video going around of the shitty venue where theyre in like a giant stadium with annoying lights going to the top and theres a ceiling and the first thing i thought was "they think theyre amon tobin huh?"

Please fire this camera guy / editor. He's intentionally obstructing the view of Amon's art because he thinks that his slow pans and fades are more important. Get the frame set at the beginning and don't touch the camera for the rest of the show.
