SECTION SUMMARIES
0:54 - AIMLESS CROSSHAIR PLACEMENT
Whether aiming at the floor or the sky you won’t be able to react properly if your crosshairs are naturally out of position. Always aim at head or shoulder levels - so when you see an incoming enemy, you minimize reaction time.
Quick Pro Tip:
Pay attention to changes in elevations - ramps, stairs, or boxes - as they will require you to aim higher or lower.
2:33 - WHY RUNNING AND GUNNING WON'T WORK
The best way to sh00t with high accuracy is standing still. We know, it's counter intuitive, but running or walking will deviate your firing angles. For proof, turn on "firing and movement" in the crosshairs settings, and watch how erratic your shots become. Remember: Stop, aim, and sh00t.
3:48 - NOT USING YOUR UTILITIES
Utilities don't always need to be used to attack. When forcing a site, use a spell to hold an enemy position or better yet, force them to move. As mentioned above - when they move - their aming will be off, improving your chances of of a takedown.
5:15 - NEVER "WALK" ACROSS THE MAP FOR A B0MB DEFUSE
Slow walking only exposes you to a variety of ambushes. Move efficiently and take risks as you explore the map. Every second wasted only gives the advantage to the other team.
7:19 - LEARN FROM EACH ROUND
Ever heard "Stop. Rinse. Repeat."? Yeah, don't do that. Unless your opponent's the one who keeps making the epic fail. All players have tendencies, and when playing fast, noobs will often repeat their previous actions. If you find yourself doing so, stop, find a new route - change your movement speed - or use utilities to become more unpredictable. Change it up so now YOU are forcing your opponents to have to think on their feet.

I remember when I first started playing, the first few games I played everyone was being extremely rude to me cuz obviously I wasn't getting any kills and didn't know what was happening, then when I was about to quit the game completely an omen player popped up and taught me how to play and gave me some tips. I'll never forget them
Idk recenty the valorant community is a lot nicer. I went to 4 random unranked lobbies with 4 different groups of people and they all encouraged me to do better and popped off when i clutched
That's really sweet for them to teach you how to play. I taught a new sage once because I saw them struggling to get a hang of the game
such a shame that I didn't get to friend them since I was new as well and didn't know you could friend someone in game

For absolute begginers - try to get comfortable with all the keys and mechanism in practice mode, don't hop in straight to the game.

@@lilsunflower5146 mute shit talkers, make sure you are playing with friends, and counter strafing is not really an essential element in valorant, it is in csgo so that's why everyone carve about it. Bad aim? Use your brain. Your positioning and game knowledge is more essential that aim itself. Try getting more aware of your mouse and keyboard aka use it so you get used to em. And most importantly use your brain. As obvious as it might seem, keeping track of enemy's utilities, making sure that your team isn't doing random stuff is important even tho they don't look like such. Also while aiming, go for accuracy than speed. Speed is not what your concern should be, your concern should be your accuracy. If you flicking at 100kmph but aint hitting your shots, its pointless. Slow and steady while aiming, speed comes overtime. Goodluck fam!

I feel like OW players use their abilities in the right scenarios and in creative ways but then just run and gun and have bad crosshair placement and CSGO players just click heads and don't need abilities XD

It does hold some truth because Valorant gun mechanics aren't like OW mechanics, you can't shoot while running and expect to hit your shots like Soldier Ashe and McCree

I understand that slow walking pain so much, it makes me want to die (figuratively) because my teammates will literally rotate from a to b when they plant and are last alive and walk the whole way, just run until you are close enough for them to hear you. Whenever you run, on the map shows a circle around you showing where players in areas can hear you run. If the players are all the way on the other side of the map, just run halfway there

To make it easier to know if you have time to defuse or not, as long as you start defusing before the white circle of light finishes closing into the spike then you have enough time
Here's a tip from me to fellow Valorant players: Stay calm. Hehe it might seem like an obvious tip, but take it from me, it's much easier to play well with a level head than to play well while your mind is racing. I find that when instead of thinking, "This is a stressful situation", I think, "What can I do to make this situation less stressful" I play so much better c:

Something that helped my aim: Turn off mouse acceleration in the additional mouse settings in windows.
I totally forgot i had it on and it makes a world of difference.
Mouse acceleration, slowly ramps up in speed, and slowly slows down when you move your cursor.
This means that you'll under, or overshoot your targets because your crosshair will be slow getting to your target, and then too fast to stop dead on them.
Great video, in addition to these points remember to check your corners. Coming from being MGE from csgo it’s still something that gets me killed constantly in ranked games. There are a massive amount of little cubby’s and corners where the enemy player can be and it is extremely frustrating to deal with but it’s a hell of a good strategy in intense moments. If you are pretty sure there is an enemy player in a specific spot. Pre fire it as you peek. If they are not there it’s a shame but getting the first shot on an enemy player that also has some what info on where you are can make all the difference. Amazing video again and I hope this helps anyone starting off.

Nixon Adrian I've heard that the spray pattern is like the old cs1.6. The spray pattern is random as fck. I head to shooting test in valorant and start doing the whole spray control with all weapons
Nixon Adrian You don’t or shouldn’t need to full on spray to kill someone. This game is easier with gun mechanics. You don’t have to pull down as much as in csgo. The first few 4-5 bullets, you don’t have to pull down lower than the head or throat.
Add note : defuse fail just at the right time the floor starts cracking
So do it before the floor start crack..

I heard the term “crosshair placement” for tip one and assumed it was gonna be about where to aim at someone for optimal damage or hold angles. I was not expecting to be told to look forward in the fps, great tip.

one think you totally missed is shiftwalking 100% of the time and slow peeking corners, its almost impossible to win your fight if you shift walk around corners when your opponent is dug in waiting for you to walk into their crosshair.
Tip: Remember switching to knife is always faster than reloading after your secondary weapon is empty too
5:29 Bind allows it, via the one way portals in mid and B. It's predictable as hell though, but surprisingly i've sometimes gotten a clutch via them, but i'm 100% sure it was because the enemy team was not smart enough to scout the portal's exit. Once people understand the map better it will not work anymore. An important thing is that a 1v1 where neither player knows each other's position highly favors the attacking, since they can just camp the bomb and shoot the defender defusing

NexoPG it’s so the enemy team can’t pick it up. I play at diamond/immortal rank and orbs mean a lot in every round. Unless we are full pushing a site, we always try get our sage (or anyone who needs it) an orb by using utility. If he didn’t pick the orb, the chances of the enemy team picking it up are far greater than his own team.
id say that he was baiting with the sound but considering that they were at his back, probably what other people said. to deny others orb.

When defusing: a rapidly shrinking white ring appears around the spike between 7.0 to 3.5 seconds before detonation, as you can see at 6:54. When the ring appears, it is too late to begin a full defuse, and when it disappears, it is too late to begin a half defuse.

As a valprant player for 2 days, the kay/o flash grenades have saved me millions of times. One good example is 2 enemies around the corner. I throw a flash, and when it explodes i go around the corner and crouch and aim at them, and kill them

I love this video, it showed that my biggest issue is when I get in fights I have the impulse to move shoot (coming from cod) but it doesn't work here, and fixing that won me a lot more gunfights
