The most stunning approach into Barcelona El Prat airport via the coast in a Boeing 737 cockpit (4K)

This is one of my favorite approaches I have flown yet, because of the easy wind combined with the lovely weather while flying the approach into Barcelona El Prat airport in Spain. We landed on Runway 24R. Enjoy the view from the Boeing 737-800 cockpit. I did enjoyed this beautiful day!

As a citizen of Barcelona I can tell you that I have been countless times in the industrial estates near the runway seeing hundreds of planes in a fairly low flight near the runway, but I would never have imagined seeing all this from the cockpit of a plane, thank you very much for this wonderful visual moment, for me it is a great gift, I can assure you, thank you very much!

At what point does the auto pilot come off? Several miles out, or that warning sounder? Also noticed no ground crew, but you have this one easy. Love watching these videos. 🛬👍

We can leave it on 158 ft but most the time we manual fly the approach:).

Good question! Because we use feet, not meters. So 100 ft. is about 30m.

It’s a while back, but I believe they where slightly late. It’s not that special as long as the visual docking sign is on for the last meters.
