Honestly I'm surprised to see a new take on this game that actually feels new opposed to a reskin as some others have- but ya it's an interesting take a franchise I was worried was beat into the ground with seemingly endless remakes, seems the team felt the same way and wanted to create something new
According to the timeline this game takes somewhere above 2020s-2030s despite the vague year 20XX so we’re in the modern era with advanced technology plus advanced artificial intelligence. These animatronics appear to be exactly that with self awareness while going by their programming to entertain people at the place.

Honestly I'm surprised to see a new take on this game that actually feels new opposed to a reskin as some others have- but ya it's an interesting take a franchise I was worried was beat into the ground with seemingly endless remakes, seems the team felt the same way and wanted to create something new

According to the timeline this game takes somewhere above 2020s-2030s despite the vague year 20XX so we’re in the modern era with advanced technology plus advanced artificial intelligence. These animatronics appear to be exactly that with self awareness while going by their programming to entertain people at the place.

If either of them get decommissioned, the company decides to make a new replacement character with new personality (hint there’s an Easter egg regarding whereabouts of Bonnie) or swap new skeletons and reset existing software in case something goes wrong
