I love your videos, Brittany. I pulled my son out of prek 4 this year, and it’s my first year homeschooling. He’ll be starting kindergarten this year and your videos have been so helpful. I don’t have much support around homeschooling, but your videos have gave me so much confidence that I can do this. Thank you for making these videos!
Hey Brittany as always I enjoy your videos. I know you used Saxon math. My grandson is going to third grade. Do Saxon math includes place value, multiplication and divisions, geometry, fractions, decimals, measurements, addition, subtraction, time and money? I'm thinking about trying Saxon math
My youngest did prek4 but apparently it was just play. He didn’t know letter sounds or past 10. We had to do prek5 at home. We don’t need to report til 6 thankfully so I could give him that extra year. 😊
@@kasitouvell3895man, I took my time at drop off and heard some of the kiddos counting and they were mixing up everything. I’m like what are we doing here? It was the end of the year! Whyy these kids can’t count? I went hard on teaching my kiddo cause see. Can’t count on these schools. 😩 I’m nervous about homeschooling but shux I’ve been teaching my kid all this time. I may do it for kindergarten but 1st grade he might go to a private school. Schools are so advance now and they’re learning so much early that I didn’t sadly
Thank you for sharing about comparing. My son is currently in public school PreK 3. He's also in the autism spectrum, has a communication and language disorder (expressive-receptive, pragmatics), and gross motor delay. My husband and I are homeschooling him for preK 4 since his school district is not providing therapy services for him. We're going to continue to go through his health insurance to provide him with the therapy services... Although he does really well with academics (age appropriate ), I notice the older he's gets, the more I catch myself comparing his current 'weaknesses ' to others strengths 😕. I currently remind myself that he's not his diagnoses, I am capable of being his Mom, and I'm so grateful to be able to homeschool him during PreK 4. Thank you for sharing your journey. I haven't found a community yet, but I learn so much from you and feel less alone in this process.
I’m so encouraged by this video! I’m officially starting my son on his first year of Kindergarten and it’s my first child “officially “ in school years so I’m also thinking about documenting our journey here on TH-cam so thank you for this on so many levels!!
Awwh I love the beginning proud of you I definitely resonate with that, even tho I’m years away from schooling (he’s 2 so within a year or two) it’s nerve wrecking
You could focus on a letter per week for your up coming kindergartener then team up about reading with that letter of the week then do the same thing with the blends to
This video is GOLD ❤, so many advice and ressources , my 5years old son has a speech delay and am struggling with him being in public school (homeschool is not an option in my country ) , but you give me hope Brittany , this summer am gonna catch up with him using your advices so thank you so much ❤ always love your videos
I actually used the secret stories better alphabet in the Christian preschool. I worked in this year as a teacher! That song was worth its weight in gold! It also helped my four-year-old pick up on the letters and their sounds more quickly!
Thank you for this video !!! This is an amazing video. I have two kiddos who need additional supports and homeschooling grade 1 and preschool this year !! Ahh! So exciting! This video has given me such confidence!!
Thank you for talking about a younger kid’s attention span! My oldest is 3.5 but wanted so badly to start school so we started in April. His attention span is awful right now and I’m looking forward to a larger span!
As always, I love your videos! Congrats on completing such a wonderful year! My daughter has been struggling with remembering how to read/write some of her numbers so I think I'm going to look into those number writing poems! Thanks!

The comparison trap is so real. I have to talk myself out of doing it more than I’d like. Love your videos ❤

I bought Letter Of The Week. For my 5 year old niece 6 years ago. It was fun and she liked it.

We just finished Level 1 of AAR, and something else I loved adding in that you make like was Secret Stories!

Left handed scissors! (you probably already know, but just in case you didn’t lol) made a huge difference in our 3 yo cutting
Love your videos and always look forward to them! Very helpful thank you for your time and feedback
I appreciate these videos so much. It's our first year and I was so lost. Thank you thank you thank you

How can I get the printable poems for the numbers you used ? My son would really benefit from them

Is his attention span awful or is it developmentally appropriate?

I agree with the youngest wanting to be involved and do all the school things! My three year old is exactly the same 😅
Have you tried the Good and the Beautiful curriculum? Any thoughts?
This is our first year. My youngest just finished preschool too. 😊
How did you get in touch with the Home School Coordinator for your area. I am also in GA :)
Hey brittany, how were you able to get all of the supplies and curriculum books? Is there a way to get funding/assistance to get them.
Do you know where I can get a list of all the things to check off for kindergarten?
Also Brittany what is a good beginners cursive writing curriculum?
We loved the good and the beautiful level 3. It has dots to show how to do it appropriately.
@@kasitouvell3895 Thank you
Where did you print the preschool numbers at?
You can get her some lefthanded scissors for children. Fisk sells them.
