I enjoy all the collab\crossover videos especially from the other channels I watch already. The Utah offroad youtubers have quite the thriving ecosysyem going on.
Hey, Ms Lovely, regarding the drill bit engravings. Spray paint of nail polish, a color you can see, the ends of the bits where engraved and sand the paint off, leaving paint in engravings. Much love❤
Great that Tom Tom nipped over to help .. But !!! All Brits know standard spanners and sockets are in Metric and the spanners and sockets in fractions are called Imperial ... 😃
Have you tried step bits? The make sets where every normal bit is stepped. Work pretty well. Either that or garage sales can provide old bits made of better steel. And learning how to sharpen bits is a lifesaver
Holly please, please wear your safety glasses whenever you drill or work in your shop. Also yes I love the heels of the loaf especially in multigrain bread.
That teaser shot was awesome! You actually used Tom's silhouette, it was weird. Like Tom was standing there next to you, without a face or features. Still Tom, though!
I paid for the heel along with the rest of the loaf of bread so especially since the loaf of bread we use to buy for 25 to 35 cents per loaf when I was a lad now costs $3.50 to $4.50 and more, yes I eat the heels and add the crumbs left in the bag to the bread crumb jar. If the bread dries out then it goes through the food processor and becomes bread crumbs too. Best!
I may have mentioned this in the past however if you want your drill bits to stay sharp longer and be easier to use then get some Tap Magic cutting fluid (not gummy sticky dirty cutting oil like plumbers use for black pipe) and put a drop on the bit before drilling each hole. The drills battery along with your own will also last longer too for a trifecta of wins. Best!
Holly, surely you have some nail polish, a.k.a., lacquer! Brush some over and into the engraved sizes of the drills, let it dry and then sand the extra off with very fine sandpaper/emery cloth. A simple job to do in the evening while relaxing, no? It's cool to see Tom Tom helping you out. I expect he will be a super help to you just as he always was at Matt's. What Tom Tom calls standard is actually SAE, which is actually the acronym for the Society of Automotive Engineers. Americans often call SAE tools standard. I am with you in that metric should be seen as standard. Most of the world uses metric and not SAE. Here in Canada, we tend to use both depending on the application. The main reason we still use SAE (In England (Lived in Portsmouth for two years), as I recall, this was usually referred to as Imperial; some Canadians still use the term but most of the under-50 generation use either standard and/or SAE) is our proximity and our trade with the U.S. Canada switched to using the metric system for many things in the latter months of 1975 or the early months of 1975, as I recall. For me, it was grade 5. Metric is a simpler system to use. Of course, we'd like to see Tom Tom back. He seems more alive when he's with others, sorry to say. I find him too close to sounding monotone when he's in his own shop. His engineering brain is a very handy thing to have around, no? LOL! Until next time, take good care! Kart #66 from Ottawa, Canada
Thank you Tom Tom for helping with the giveaway Jeep. I hated to see Holls doing all this work by herself. The two of you working together will build an awesome Jeep.
If your drill bits have light or deep engraving like most sockets do take colored paint pin of your choice rub over to fill the engraving then wipe the excess off. Then you should be good for a few years then repeat.
Have you tried the bagel toast function on the non crust side of the heal of the loaf and then used that as a bun for a cheddar brat? 😋 also awesome for fried egg sandwiches with pickles 😉
Holly. Metric standard definitely. Fraction imperial, I know you wanted to get into that, I'm in Ireland, metric is definitely standard. try the same question for Rory trail mater?
Marker pen and a baby wipe will give you black numbers on your drill bits. Just colour the area where the sizes are 'engraved'/embossed then gently wipe off with the baby wipe and the numbers will stay black for the lifetime of the bit.
I'm still in Scotland (not jealous of you at all) but yeah can confirm metric is the standard 😅😂. Also when you buy new drill bits look fot a ser with the holes sized to the drill bits in the holder as soon as a drill slips in the chuck you can't read it but can pop it in the holder so you know the size
Great to see progress, and no claw hammer. Tom Tom seems like a great guy. Wishing his channel much success. Holly you shopping for a new man, haven’t seen Walter in awhile 🤔🤔🤔😂 Oh yeah like the old saying “ You are what you eat”. Just sayin Tom Tom 😂🤣😂
I definitely have a claw hammer, but it rarely gets used in the shop 😂. You’ll see Walter more often when we are working on the YJ. That’s our project. The Liberty and the giveaway Jeep are my projects. And he can’t step away from his work as often.
I think you need to buy a couple tools A set of transfer punches (that makes sure your holes are centered) A Drill Doctor (that makes sharpening bits a literal snap) A drill index (that holds your bits so they stay labeled and organized) This stuff is pretty cheap and makes things waaaaaay easier
Tom Tom could I would imagine sometimes be a little frustrating because he is so precise which doesn’t necessarily mean speed. No disrespect to you Tom. He however will give you a well built product. In case haven’t realized yet, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will make him a friend for life
When I was growing up way back in the 1970’s fractional socket sets were referred to as SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers) or Imperial and mm sets were referred to as Metric or SI ( System International)
FYI, Imperial is a entirely different set of sizes. There are three types. Most people only know the most common 2 (standard and metric) Imperial is the third.
The passenger side has sleeves running through the frame and the driver side has 1/4” steel plates on either side of the frame and a flange on the bottom.
I like the heal of freshly baked bread. I don't eat the heal on store bread. Weird, I know. Holly, looks to me like you are using too high a speed on your drill bits. Get a bunch of 1/8 inch bits to drill your pilot hole and go up incrementally in size to final diameter.
The numbers on drill bits are infuriating. Some manufacturers do an ink stamp while others actually have it pressed into the shank of the bit. Also, it sounds like it's time to buy a drill doctor.
What we now call standard used to be called imperial because the British Empire came up with it. And the only place still using it, exclusively, the US.
SAE started out around 1900 as a global society to set standards for the blossoming automobile industry to define standards for various parts and fasteners. It started out as the Society of Automobile Engineers and was mirrored by others setting up similar for other industries until Elmer Sperry coined the term Automotive to include all forms of motion so SAE then became an inclusive group know as the Society of Automotive Engineers so all industries globally followed the same standards for sizing parts and fasteners. Then anything stamped SAE become known as Standard in the mechanical trades since workmen could use the spanners/wrenches in a Standard tool kit to work on any product manufactured to SAE standards. They used inches and feet since this had been the standard going back to the foundation of international trade thousands of years ago and further promoted by British Colonization. At the Royal Observatory in Greenwich you will find the public display of the British Foot and Inch Standards from the 1800's that could be referenced to verify your rulers conformed with that Standard. Best!
What is PSC? Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a chronic liver disease in which the bile ducts inside and outside the liver become inflamed and scarred, and are eventually narrowed or blocked. I'm so sorry to hear about your liver, Holly.
My parents lied to me growing up. They told me if I eat the heel, it would make me whistle. As an adult now, I still eat the heels and I still can't whistle. LOL
I think Tom Tom will be a great help to you and help for his channel. Holly good to see you smile and enjoying the work again.

Barney Fife is a good addition to any project. Tom is an awesome well of knowledge.
Good crust is what bread is all about. TomTom is sharp and a benefit to all he tries to help! A real good guy.
Yes on eating the heals of bread
Like dessert, the best for last.
Hey, Ms Lovely, regarding the drill bit engravings. Spray paint of nail polish, a color you can see, the ends of the bits where engraved and sand the paint off, leaving paint in engravings. Much love❤
Fantastic collaboration I love when different youtubers work together
Great that Tom Tom nipped over to help .. But !!! All Brits know standard spanners and sockets are in Metric and the spanners and sockets in fractions are called Imperial ... 😃
Love the heels of bread. Wish they would sell a package of just the heels of several loaves! 😊
Have you tried step bits? The make sets where every normal bit is stepped. Work pretty well. Either that or garage sales can provide old bits made of better steel. And learning how to sharpen bits is a lifesaver
The heels are the best. Especially, when its home made bread!
I love the heels of the loaf, but rarely get to them before my wife does! 😉
Good ol'TomTom!!
Love the heels for toast especially with peanut butter 😊
Heals are the best part!
Holli keep a micrometer with your drill bits, it help plus you will refreshed on your decibels too.
It is great when channels collaborate. It builds viewership for both channels.
Heal and crust eater. Heals and Crust of the bread have all of the flavor, the rest is the glue that binds it all together.
Holly please, please wear your safety glasses whenever you drill or work in your shop. Also yes I love the heels of the loaf especially in multigrain bread.
Nice to see Tom Tom on your channel. That Jeep is gonna be one sweet ride!
On the drillbits spray paint black and then sand the surface lightly color doesn't matter as long as it's darker 😊
Heels. The best part of the bread. Learned that from my Poppop (grandfather.) Thanks Pop!
That teaser shot was awesome! You actually used Tom's silhouette, it was weird. Like Tom was standing there next to you, without a face or features. Still Tom, though!

Thank you Tom Tom for helping and yes the end/heel is my favorite also
The heals I think is an Idaho thing we all do it but !! PBJ lunch is king too
OH. DRILL BITS, must have good sharp drill bits. 🎉🎉🎉
Holly, surely you have some nail polish, a.k.a., lacquer! Brush some over and into the engraved sizes of the drills, let it dry and then sand the extra off with very fine sandpaper/emery cloth. A simple job to do in the evening while relaxing, no?

Bread heels make great hamburger buns! I freeze & keep until needed. We called them end crusts.
Holly you are one busy person, building a giveaway jeep, onx challenge jeep, and racing jeep
Use a paint pen over the engraved numbers on the drill bits then sand the excess off. It leaves the numbers highlighted.
I use the heals to keep rest of loaf fresh
Grew up with a family of 10, the heals are a blessing. Not everyone likes the heals. When that's all that's left your so happy and feel lucky. lol 😂
I love this perspective! Thank you for sharing 😀🤙🏻
Yes we do
I love Tom Tom. Maybe its because of his awesome name. All kidding aside, he will be awesome help on your rigs. I hope to see him help you more.
On the drill bits you can cheat a little by using a paint marker over the numbers and lightly wipe off to reveal the size.
Thank you Tom Tom for helping with the giveaway Jeep. I hated to see Holls doing all this work by herself. The two of you working together will build an awesome Jeep.
great as always glad you had tom tom to help he is fun
My mom and brother used to fight over the heels, I prefer toast to bread so I don't like the heels. Also they don't make great French Toast!
Bread is bread, whether it's the heel or centre pieces.
If your drill bits have light or deep engraving like most sockets do take colored paint pin of your choice rub over to fill the engraving then wipe the excess off. Then you should be good for a few years then repeat.
Since you do so many builds maybe get a magnetic drill press. Robby Layton highlighted one a while back been jealous ever since
Tom tom awesome 😎👍❤ one smart dude;)
Have you tried the bagel toast function on the non crust side of the heal of the loaf and then used that as a bun for a cheddar brat? 😋 also awesome for fried egg sandwiches with pickles 😉
Another step forward on the jeep build.
Awesome job 😊There went the safety program at Matt’s off Road since Tom Tom left 😄🤣Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏽😎🌴
Holly. Metric standard definitely. Fraction imperial, I know you wanted to get into that, I'm in Ireland, metric is definitely standard. try the same question for Rory trail mater?
How do I get go vote for the on X off-road challenge
Marker pen and a baby wipe will give you black numbers on your drill bits. Just colour the area where the sizes are 'engraved'/embossed then gently wipe off with the baby wipe and the numbers will stay black for the lifetime of the bit.
Paint pen the engraving on your bits & sockets
Heels are the best
It is great to have help......

Heals are AWESOME as toast, otherwise I need to be starving to mow on them. 😉
Improvise, adapt and overcome. Tom Tom is the best.

Good to hear the construction work progressing outside. 🤘😝🤘
Love the Heels, these ones 👠👠 & these ones 🍞 😉
Don't forget to go vote for Mischief Maker on The onX Offroad Build Challenge!
Heals are bread too. Yes I eat the whole loaf.
I love heels of the bread for toast, with butter. Mmm-mmm!
Tom Tom could I would imagine sometimes be a little frustrating because he is so precise which doesn’t necessarily mean speed. No disrespect to you Tom. He however will give you a well built product. In case haven’t realized yet, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will make him a friend for life
Standard and imperial
Get yourself a digital caliper for those drill bits.
❤ the heal of loaf l always eat the heal toasted first
You should have guest builders come to help build and have all of them sign the completed Jeep. I bet that would get more donations?
I love that idea!
Especially on the underside of the hood. Cool Easter Egg, without being obnoxious.
I knew who it was just from the silhouette in the thumbnail. haha
I wonder how many knew just from that
Only use heels for cinnamon toast!
That was hilarious:-) very entertaining
When I was growing up way back in the 1970’s fractional socket sets were referred to as SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers) or Imperial and mm sets were referred to as Metric or SI ( System International)
And then there was British Imperial Standard.
@@beverlychmelik5504 that was a tough one because the numbers on the tool referred to the thread size not the distance across flats..
heals fancy drills and sharp drill bits what a day
Another way to describe SAE, or Standard, would be Imperial. Medieval is another choice.
FYI, Imperial is a entirely different set of sizes. There are three types. Most people only know the most common 2 (standard and metric) Imperial is the third.
Always fun to see Tom.

I eat the heels, esp with PB&J, like Tom Tom.
For the frame bolts that go through the sides, what keeps the side bolts from compressing the frame together
The passenger side has sleeves running through the frame and the driver side has 1/4” steel plates on either side of the frame and a flange on the bottom.
Are you racing KOH again this year?
Every year until I’m physically unable 😀🤘🏻
eh just weld it in ,, matt would lol. great video as usual. Shure would like to see you and @fabrats go wheeling in moab
I always eat the heels. It’s not much different from eating a bun. Bread is bread.
I like the heal of freshly baked bread. I don't eat the heal on store bread. Weird, I know. Holly, looks to me like you are using too high a speed on your drill bits. Get a bunch of 1/8 inch bits to drill your pilot hole and go up incrementally in size to final diameter.
I don't enjoy the heel. But when that's what's left, I'll eat it.
No I am not a He’ll either
The numbers on drill bits are infuriating. Some manufacturers do an ink stamp while others actually have it pressed into the shank of the bit. Also, it sounds like it's time to buy a drill doctor.
I like the heel but what I usually do is turn it upside down. So you think you have regular bread? I do that with my grilled cheese too
More Tom Tom!
What we now call standard used to be called imperial because the British Empire came up with it. And the only place still using it, exclusively, the US.

Wow, your a real women mechanic.
I put the bread heels in a food processor and feed them to the birds.🐦
toasted heels with a cheesewiz smear
Get a black crayon and rub it over the engraved numbers.
Nice to see the collaboration with Tom Tom. I was taught that there are imperial and metric sizes.
What is PSC? Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a chronic liver disease in which the bile ducts inside and outside the liver become inflamed and scarred, and are eventually narrowed or blocked. I'm so sorry to hear about your liver, Holly.
🥖 The heal is my favorite part 🥖
My parents lied to me growing up. They told me if I eat the heel, it would make me whistle. As an adult now, I still eat the heels and I still can't whistle. LOL
We don’t normally eat the hill from a loaf of bread…
I’m a heal man
I only eat the heel if desperate, otherwise I give it to the chickens.
