Glad they didn't succumb to overhauling her character like so many shows are prone to do with characters who have bite to them. She grew just enough without watering down her brand.

Holt is incorrect about the blondie/cookie issue. Blondies are not the same as chocolate chip cookies. Blondies technically should not even have chocolate as they are intended for more of a vanilla flavor, and in the case of blondies v cookies, blondies will also have a chewier, denser structure due to the brownie-like recipe. It is more than just a shape difference.

Gina is different from a lot of basic characters. She is quirky, funny, sarcastic, nice, and joking. Sure she has flaws, but she is quite nice as well. Think about it, people don’t hate on Charles much, but he’s always inappropriate and creepy. He is funny though. They all have flaws, and good things about them. It’s a show, get over it.

It was a perfect fit for Amy. Tasteless, but lowkey all of them are inappropriate at work... Except for maybe Terry. Again, I don't want to see nice characters that experience growth all the time. I even had enough of them in this show. Gina is the kind of character that is done and is there nothing more to explore with her in this show (her catching up with school and becoming more career-oriented, rather than just going with the flow, is actually part of her growth). Not everyone needs to be "become more generous". You don't need to like her, but everyone that claims that she isn't interesting, or an appealing character is talking subjectively. I also don't like the "story writing" excuse. If you'd do something with all your characters, you would never get through with it. She is a sidekick kind of main cast that is there for mostly comedic purposes
