mike Keefer - Thanks Mike!! This one was the most fun so far. Longer hike and in one of my favorite places. I'll tell my mom hi, too, she usually hates when I film her but I got her this time, haha!
Okay, y'all, you are in WAY too good of shape for me to be watching this! I nearly lost my breath just watching :D - For reals, you do some great edits Phillip, and in the future, do you plan on using your own music? I'm guessing the background was stock muzak?
I sure feel it more these days! My best friend and I used to basically jog up those trails with 30lbs of climbing equipment on our backs when we were younger! It was the warm-up to go climbing all day, haha! It's so awesome seeing Piage excited about being out there, I can really see her getting that deep love of the outdoors that I have :) And I'm not sure on the music yet (you're absolutely right, I'm just using stock music for now)... Just shooting and editing takes enough time, I'm not sure if I could come up with music for each one. Number one on the list is an actual camera. I sold all of my gear last year and haven't gotten anything new yet. All of our adventures on TH-cam are shot on my smartphone! Not the best quality or battery life, but works for now I guess.
I tried this when it was 104 degrees. I started too late in the morning and couldn't finish. First hike I've ever not completed due to heat. I thought 104 degrees would be nothing but I was wrong
Great video! I can’t wait to check out Smith Rock. Question for you, I am nervous hiking narrow ridges. Does this trail contain many (less than 2 ft wide)? Also, what time of year were you all out there? The weather looks perfect.
Thanks Monique! So, the trail we were on is called Misery Ridge and the first part of it (less than a mile) can be a little exposed but the trail is solid and definitely wide enough for people going up and down at the same time. You could always just stay on the inside of it and let people coming down go around you. Once you get to the top, though, the rest is totally fine. We were there on May 19th which I would say is a perfect time. It can get hot out there in the summer so late spring is ideal! There are miles of other trails that go around the lower parts and follow the river, too. Hope you love it out there! :)
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing your hike
Absolutely! Thanks Cindy!
Rad place to explore, so fun!
I agree! One of my favorite places!
Thank you for this beautiful clip!
Great video! Your daughter looks so joyful in the outdoors. Parenting done right 👍🏼
Thank you so much :) She truly does love being outside and it makes me so happy to see her enjoy it like I always have!
Such a great hike...and we just floated scout lake last weekend...great vid
Thanks so much! And a float at Scout Lake sounds so nice with all of this heat lately! :)
Another nice video Philip! Say hello to your Mom. Nice to her briefly in the video!
