  • Scouted a new spot and we were rewarded with some killer vis and plenty of chunky rockfish. Before we went we checked in with ODFW and OSP to make sure that everything was on the up and up in these crazy times. We also chose to hit a new spot that was outside of communities on the coast so as to be respectful to the locals. After our longest surface interval in years it was great to get back in the water, harvest some food, feel the giddy stoke of walking up to a spot and being able to see the bottom and structure from the shore knowing its going to be a good day. Stay safe, stay healthy and if you can't go dive right now I hope you enjoy the video anyway!

Wow! I was trying to figure out where you were at with the coast line, but I have no idea. Looks phenomenal. We just hit Newport on Friday and got our limit of rock fish. Our visibility was terrible...

Tyler Sanford yeah, we had been super lucky on vis for a couple months. It seems to have returned to more typical conditions. We were north of you 😉

Surprised you don't get taxed with fish strung like that.

Yeah, in Oregon we don’t have very much trouble with taxes as of yet. Elsewhere I wouldn’t hang em like that

Where's this at? I haven't seen that many fish or that good of visibility since moving to Oregon 4 years ago.

Hey Chris! Been getting that question a bit... :P. We do try to refrain from posting all but the most obvious spots openly online. Not trying to be jerks, just trying to protect our environment. Happy to chat a bit face to face or over the phone etc, but as they say... The internet is where good spots go to die.
