Dang. I'm a middle-age psychiatrist but after watching your video--I realize I need a plasma torch and a water table!! Good job putting it together, I'm looking forward to seeing your projects.
My son and I built a 4'x8' CNC Plasma Table a while back. He already had a Hypertherm 45. We have cut 1/2" diamond plate with it. When he needs to cut thicker, we mount an oxy/acetylene torch instead of the plasma torch and have cut 1". We have been running it about 18 months and I am still amazed by it making cuts.
I'm going to be honest because were all thinking it. The best part of the videos; the dog! You do good work and all that but there is just something satisfying about watching a well behaved dog. Keep up the good work...both of you.
Man I love your storytelling... every time I see a rainfall video pop up I get a smile on my face. You deserve so much more subs then you have now. I think you are among the best content creators out there. Keep it up!
This. I even enabled notifications (one of like 3 channels), but somehow I still need to click before I figure out who it is. Guess I still need to learn to recognize the name, orrrr we just need more videos :D
I saw CNC Router Parts' (now Avid CNC) 'Tested' video, then I saw yours and Frank Howarth's videos and decided to check them out. That started a year ago for me. I picked my CNC machine up yesterday, Sept. 9th, 2019. Like you I drove up and picked it up, but I only had a little hatchback so it took 2 trips. Fortunately, I live only 25 miles away from them. Now, I get the fun job of assembly. I wanna thank you for the content you provide, like others, I have enjoyed many of your projects. I look forward to more.
Congratulations on a fine plasma CNC. I have a 4'x2' PRO CNC Router Parts CNC and truly enjoyed watching you build your table as it brought back many of the same great memories. After you have a few hundred hours on the table, consider going back and checking the swivel nut bolts for tightness. They won't be loose, but you will likely get a quarter to a half turn on some of them. I love my CNC and wish I had bought a larger table now. I can always extend the table and that's one of the great features offered by CNC Router Parts. I look forward to seeing more videos of your plasma projects....and Drake!
WooHOO!!! When you said, "Fire in the hole!" and then it starting cutting, I got super excited and almost stood up myself in celebratory cheer! This machine is so cool!! *Bravo and congratulations on your new toy.* This is gonna be so fun to live vicariously through your CNC videos! lol Can't wait to see the next project!
Rainfall Projects - your videos are my favourite of all the channels I subscribe to. I hope you are having a great summer and that's why we haven't heard from you in a while. I also know that since you are a hard working farmer and not just playing Minecraft for a living, you are probably busy with the growing season. Anyways, I wish you all the best and looking forward to hearing from you again!
welcome to the world of cnc plasma. You're going to love it! ! don't be surprised if your nights and weekends are spent cutting anything and everything. . I know a year later and I still get amazed every time I cut something. Lil tip, sign up with Plasma spider. there are a ton of great files that people share on there. Happy cutting! !
Really do enjoy your vids. The subjects are deceptively simple, but you put so much creativity in every aspect that you make it look easy. Keep up the great work and and I wish you much success in all you do.
love your videos. YT recommended to me and now i have binged watched them all. love your dry sense of humour, pace, style and the content and production values. very enjoyable. keep up the good work
Mate got to say I love your videos. Every time I see them I get all existed and set my self up with a cold one. You do a great job and I hope you continue to make these awesome videos.
I've got one too. Got some vids on the channel with it running. Drew and Cory have been outstanding helping me figure everything out. Still learning but the potential is endless. Congrats man.
Don't feel rushed from the subscribers who hound you about the deck. We understand delays. I have a few major projects delayed, too. But we're definitely excited about the CNC! Nice work!
Well that was interesting. I bought a plasma table from LDR Motion Systems this year and I am real happy with it. I watched you put it together and get it going and I know the anxiety of wondering if it is going to work. I also have the Hypertherm, great plasma cutter, I had to install the voltage divider myself. Easy. Working with Inkscape, CAD and Sheetcam now. Lots to learn, good skill set to have if you fabricate a lot. Good to see a kindred spirit out there.
Awesome video, I totally get you about being like a kid at Christmas setting this up and the cable management, I'd be just the same! Awesome work, congratulations on it working first time :) When I worked in a company that manufactured control systems for power and water plants, the cable management inside the cubicles was so nice, with spiro-wrap, CPM sleeveing and rubber binding sleeves. Seeing/building one from plans and delivery of parts all the way through to testing and site installation was so satisfying!
perfect size area and excellent lighting! Never heard of this particular CNC company but looks quite simple to put together.now let your imagination run wild on what it may create. Thanks for the video
Your camera work and shot selection is astoundingly good. It must take a long time in post production, trust me that is not wasted time as your videos shine with quality.
Congrats man! That thing looks awesome! Looking forward to seeing what you cut on it. Likewise, if you're ever visiting Vancouver, Canada, let me know and we'll grab a beer / show you around my shop!
Congrats on the table. You have probably already seen this, but Sketchup is horrible for cutting circles and curves, it segments it terribly. We even tried making the segments smaller, but that actually induced a vibration in the gantry. We broke down and bought a couple different programs. AutoCad and Solid Works. I still sketch with Sketchup, but then do the cut files in Autocad. Love the channel. Reminds me of my youth on the farm in Iowa.
Rainfall Projects haha honestly I'd rather wait and have quality content than just some random shit every day :) keep up with the good work and we'll all be happy
cool video. looks like 40x40 and 80x40 aluminium. these are really great. I ordered some parts lately to play around and learn how to construct a nice looking storage shed. there are soo many differenct connectors and things. but first they need a few weeks of outdoor testing.
You should check Keith Fenner's old videos on how he set his plasma cutter (different one, but the rules apply) in order to keep the whole affair clean and prolong the life of the machine. His, for years now in use, still looks like brand new. Which any plasma cutter operator can attest to it being a chore.
Another Awesome video man! I enjoy watching them every time I can't wait to see what you build with the CNC and can't wait to see the deck all finished as well!
You wana know how I square up my premier plasma table... I ram it to the end of the table and let them both collide. Yeah it was cheaper then avid way cheaper the a torchmate or fastcut but I don't know how they let machines go with out having limit switches and a way to adjust the square esp. when the gantry is garbage unboxed plate with a 30lbs 2x3 that doesn't attach to the ends. Great video.
I loved my erector set with all its parts in a really sturdy metal case. When my son was little we began with kits of LEGOS of all sorts... and later graduated to a huge set of K'NEX. We spent vast numbers of hours together building all sort of things. I see your connection of all those and assembling your CNC table. : -)
I am so happy for you! Where i work we have the same plasma cutter except its a 45 amp, dont know how thick it wil cut though, i only cut thin pieces with it. Great job on the video.
Great job. Funny how you said a 4 hour journey was short. For a Brit like me that's a damn long way and if you don't choose your direction right you'll end up in the sea way before 4 hours is up. Keep up the great videos.
Cable management is also a guilty pleasure of us PC enthusiasts, it's not enjoyable if you hsve to do it in a crappy case but it's a challenge and 2ho can say no to a challenge
Lol, all this time i thought you were in the midwest, with being on a farm and all...Now the "rainfall" makes more sense. Greetings from Beaverton! 80-20 is indeed awesome if you ever had erector sets as a kid. Maybe not as satisfying as fabbing something yourself, but it gets the job done.
So stoked for you getting your dream toy! And I love the idea of cutting a square to check for square, reckon you could even auction the not square square as a souvenir piece (I'd bid on it anyway)
Great video. Those plastic plugs that go in the linear rails should be put in so they are flush with the surface. This makes them work in conjunction with the carriage seals to make them dust proof.
Great video. A suggestion about cable management: Use velcro ties instead of zip ties. If you ever have to move anything or replace anything you won't have to cut a hundred zip ties and redo everything.
Oh man, I'm so happy for you! I've personally been eyeing getting myself a laser cutter, but sadly it looks like I'll have to wait another 2-3 years until we buy some land and I have my own shop. For now, I'll just be an eager apartment dweller, living vicariously through you and other favorite TH-camrs. :) Super excited to see what kinds of things you make with your plasma cutter!
The story telling along with the video is great. Keep the videos coming. I had a feeling you would use CNCRP because Frank has one. LOL. His was sponsored though.
Perfect vid. Not much talking, no odd music, down to earth, a pup and a CNC PLASMA TABLE! Wonderful!!!! Thanx.
What a lovely dog, i want to give him a big hug.
My only complaint is that these videos are not long enough and not nearly frequent enough! love the style of your videos....can't wait for more.
Dang. I'm a middle-age psychiatrist but after watching your video--I realize I need a plasma torch and a water table!! Good job putting it together, I'm looking forward to seeing your projects.
Impressed with your set up skills. Balance your hands on skills with this efficient beast...your hand made stuff has a little more heart.
My son and I built a 4'x8' CNC Plasma Table a while back. He already had a Hypertherm 45. We have cut 1/2" diamond plate with it. I had a dream in which you released a new 30 minute long video, never been more disappointed to wake up.
Rainfall Projects you've just made my whole month! this is awesome thank you!
I saw CNC Router Parts' (now Avid CNC) 'Tested' video, then I saw yours and Frank Howarth's videos and decided to check them out. That started a year ago for me. I was having a pretty shitty day, then I see you posted a video...... much better now! Thanks!
Really do enjoy your vids. The subjects are deceptively simple, but you put so much creativity in every aspect that you make it look easy. Keep up the great work and and I wish you much success in all you do.
Those were some beautiful travelling shots at the beginning of the video. You're a great storyteller!
DaftDude Yes i agree! I'm not gay or anything but there is something with this guy I instantly liked. This is the first video I've seen with him.
love your videos. YT recommended to me and now i have binged watched them all. love your dry sense of humour, pace, style and the content and production values. very enjoyable. keep up the good work
Awesome! Can't wait for some CNC plasma cutting videos!
JD, looking forward to what you whip up on this great new machine. The space makes it! I love all the work you've done on the barn. Congratulations.
I think you are among the best content creators out there. Keep it up!
Mate got to say I love your videos. Every time I see them I get all existed and set my self up with a cold one. You do a great job and I hope you continue to make these awesome videos.

"Couldn't be more excited".... expression never changes. This is why I love your channel. :D
Super plasma putter. Hypertherm is simply the best... super CNC Tablet you chose. Nice and well done video ! 👍🏼
I feel a little envy tough 🤔
When I get a shop again, I will be getting one of these! Thanks for your videos, they are inspiring.
Nice to see the origin of the cutting table. It looks nice and has served you very well!!!
Thanks for sharing this!!!
Hope your summer is going well. It's been over two months since the last video! Can't wait to see more.
You are making this channel like a documentary of your life, the fact that kelly shows up in a face time is crazy
Don't feel rushed from the subscribers who hound you about the deck. We understand delays. I have a few major projects delayed, too.
But we're definitely excited about the CNC!
Nice work!
Congratulations sir. Well deserved. Can't wait for the videos to come.

Looks very impressive, thank you for sharing your amazing video. Beautiful landscapes and I like your drone view.
That sir is the most awesome square I've ecstatic seen.
perfect size area and excellent lighting! Never heard of this particular CNC company but looks quite simple to put together.now let your imagination run wild on what it may create. Thanks for the video
Brilliant. Your videos get better and better. Well done.
Very well put together video. Congrats on your new (old by now) plasma table.
Your camera work and shot selection is astoundingly good.
It must take a long time in post production, trust me that is not wasted time as your videos shine with quality.
your work on the barn doors is looking brilliant
Looking forward to all the possibilities!
Dude I am so glad you got that CNC plasma cutter !
exciting, cant wait to see what you come up with.
A tip on keeping your new plasma table clean - Scotch Brite and Scrubbing Bubbles together works wonders on caked on plasma dust
Love the videos and very jealous of your barn. It's awesome. Keep the vids coming! Also, I can't wait to see the final outcome of the deck.
Nice job , Well Done .... Im building CNC plasma 2.4mx1.5m , i cant wait to get done
these videos are the best ones to watch
Congrats man! That thing looks awesome! Looking forward to seeing what you cut on it. Likewise, if you're ever visiting Vancouver, Canada, let me know and we'll grab a beer / show you around my shop!
Hey! Welcome to the CNCRP Family. I have a 5x10 router. Now you have me wanting another machine.
I was waiting for this! Thanks a lot for the video and good luck on making great projects with the table!!
Love your videos. Always reminds me of the ‘endless summer’ narration ;)
Ι have enjoyed your videos quite a bit.Well done.Big hello from Greece.
I wanted to build one, but after seeing DIY's setup on a "tested" vid, I was sold, I had better start saving, these things are awesome
Congratulations! Looking forward to your future projects with it! One of my favorite TH-cam channels.
Congrats on the table. You have probably already seen this, but Sketchup is horrible for cutting circles and curves, it segments it terribly. Love the channel. Reminds me of my youth on the farm in Iowa.
Such amazing machines! Love the sound of the sparks and air hitting the water.
Loved those drone shots. Oregon and Washington are beautiful.
Do you know how long we've been waiting for this ?!
I also agree with this comment
Agreed
Not nearly as long as waiting for the deck to get finished.
Rainfall Projects haha honestly I'd rather wait and have quality content than just some random shit every day :) keep up with the good work and we'll all be happy
Rainfall Projects love the video do they do a 2x2 table and how much just for the table
I'm really excited for you! Nice job.
Love how all your video comes out ! Really great storytelling, image, project !
cool video. looks like 40x40 and 80x40 aluminium. these are really great. I ordered some parts lately to play around and learn how to construct a nice looking storage shed. there are soo many differenct connectors and things. but first they need a few weeks of outdoor testing.
That is such a nice table. Cnc tables are getting affordable enough for me to consider adding one to my powerplasma cutter now.
Ohhh wow, didn't know CNC Router Parts was so close (about 5 miles from me). Might have to head up there to grab some parts!
Nice Video as anytime. Discovered you some weeks ago and have allready seen lots of your videos. go on. Love it.
I hope you haven't quit TH-cam, hopefully the farm is keeping you busy and you will upload a video soon. Miss the vids.
I know your are a super busy guy, but more videos please 😂 love em so much!
Can't wait to see the first projects😁
Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos. Keep up the great work!
Wow man, that must feel like a dream coming true!
Awesome! If they ever make a CNC router that does the equivalent of the height control you mentioned, I'm buying one.
You should check Keith Fenner's old videos on how he set his plasma cutter (different one, but the rules apply) in order to keep the whole affair clean and prolong the life of the machine. His, for years now in use, still looks like brand new. Which any plasma cutter operator can attest to it being a chore.
Nice video man! Have fun, I mean make some serious stuff with that machine!
Another Awesome video man! I enjoy watching them every time I can't wait to see what you build with the CNC and can't wait to see the deck all finished as well!
I think you made a good decision, going with the bigger model. it will come in handy when you rebuild the back end of the hopper ;)
you are very hard working person , Good work , I like your all Video
You wana know how I square up my premier plasma table... I ram it to the end of the table and let them both collide. Great video.
Well its a good thing you had that Suburban custom made to fit that table! ;)
Great Vid !! I've been shopping for this set-up and will give CNC Router Parts a look !!
Would love to see a new episode of you and Jake soon!
So jealous of the cnc plasma table Justin! Come visit my shop soon!
Great job. Funny how you said a 4 hour journey was short. For a Brit like me that's a damn long way and if you don't choose your direction right you'll end up in the sea way before 4 hours is up. Keep up the great videos.
So true. Thanks again for the great videos.
Cable management is also a guilty pleasure of us PC enthusiasts, it's not enjoyable if you hsve to do it in a crappy case but it's a challenge and 2ho can say no to a challenge
I could have used this for my latest project! Too bad you're not closer. So many things to make on that now. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
tone it down a bit stalker
Hahahaha
The difference between men and boys is the size of their toys!
watching for a gap with a light behind the edge really helps to judge how square things really are
Lol, all this time i thought you were in the midwest, with being on a farm and all...Now the "rainfall" makes more sense. Greetings from Beaverton! 80-20 is indeed awesome if you ever had erector sets as a kid. Maybe not as satisfying as fabbing something yourself, but it gets the job done.
Fantastic as usual. I continually enjoy your videos. Keep it up brother.
So stoked for you getting your dream toy! And I love the idea of cutting a square to check for square, reckon you could even auction the not square square as a souvenir piece (I'd bid on it anyway)
Rainfall Projects Man that is too kind! I'll PM you my address but you'll have to let me repay you in *some* way
Love that beautiful Chinese machine. So well made!
Sean Anthony HAHAHA!! One of the jealous ones. Loser.
Yeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr buddy you must be thrilled!! looks sweet mate.
Great video.
Those plastic plugs that go in the linear rails should be put in so they are flush with the surface.
This makes them work in conjunction with the carriage seals to make them dust proof.
Congrats on the new table!
I got a job working a Cnc table and we don't have plumbing and I have to go to the next shop over, I love it tho it's an amazing job
Nice table! Good job!
The story telling along with the video is great. Keep the videos coming. I had a feeling you would use CNCRP because Frank has one. LOL. His was sponsored though.
Ah yes! I remember when I received my plasma table as well! Congrats!
You are really coming into your own, this was my favorite video you've done to date. I can get you a beer next time I am in Oregon!
