- The Princess Cruises Mini-Suite is a large and beautiful stateroom. I stayed in a Mini-Suite onboard Diamond Princess on my first Princess Cruise. I was blown away by my Mini-Suite. In this video, I give you a full tour of a Princess Cruises Mini-Suite. A Mini-Suite differs from a full suite as it does not feature all of the amenities of a full Princess Cruises suite. However, the size of a Mini-Suite on Princess more than makes up for that. The Mini-Suite was huge and featured a king-size bed, two televisions, two air conditioning controls, a walk-in closet, a large bathroom with a full bathtub and shower, and much more. I throughly enjoyed staying in a Mini-Suite on my first Princess Cruise and cannot wait to try Princess and a Mini-Suite again.

This Princess Cruise on Diamond Princess will take me to Aburatsu (Miyazaki), Japan; Busan, South Korea; and Nagasaki, Japan. This was my first time ever in Japan and my first time on Princess Cruises.
The Diamond Princess is part of the Gem class of cruise ships for Princess Cruises. Diamond Princess debuted in 2004 and was built by Mitsubishi in Nagasaki, Japan. Diamond Princess features several specialty dining venues, including Kai Sushi, Sterling Steakhouse, and Sabatini's Italian.

This is one of my favourite cabin types on any cruise ship. I've never stayed in one of these cabins, but have visited them on multiple ships. They're such impressive cabins, and offer SO MUCH SPACE!

Make sure you try out the Izumi Spa. They have a very large Japanese bath that is to die for. Very, very relaxing.
Another great video. You mentioned the aesthetic of the bathroom as being dated, but for me (never having sailed with them!) the whole Princess aesthetic seems dated. The colour of the wood, the creams and beiges of the furniture and carpets, and even the main atrium -- they all just seem dated to me. For me, Celebrity strikes the right balance. But maybe having only seen Princess on a screen I have the wrong impression.

We can't wait for your videos and observations. To be honest, we're very worried that recent observations about Celebrity are "middling" at best. ...we (hopefully incorrectly) read into this that the new president's mandate is to drive improved profitability at the expense of our experience / even higher costs. Will you be in Aquaclass (our favorite)?
I wouldn't like having no overhang. That's a necessity for me.
I sunny climates it us if little use.
I found the motion lights at night a pain, too much light, I put a pillow in front of the floor ones to keep it from coming on. One night sea was a little rough so be sure you shut the bathroom door fully, if not the closet motion light will come on. In general Zach I agree with you, nice room but still needs an update.
This ship needs a Celebrity Summit type refresh. I love some of the tech with the medallion (not motion lights though!) but for a more premium line, the aesthetic is very dated.
Curious to see more impressions as we're looking to try something different - we have a friend who is a former Princess die hard that says they've been going through lots of penny pinching. With you being a Celebrity cruiser, I'm very interested to see what your overall impression is on Princess.
And probably would avoid the mini suite because of the balcony. Privacy is a big thing but my wife is a natural red head and will cook up nice out there in the matter of minutes!
Yeah the balcony being so exposed was not ideal. I didn’t spend as much time out there as I’d have liked as a result. My Princess review comes out this weekend and in that I give my overall impression!

The bathroom looks gross. Dirty tub, and dated decor. No one would pay as much for a hotel room on land that was in need of a refresh.
You sound so snobby. Nothing is dirty, it’s just old.
