    This thing of Sabbath worship being the marker of who is or is not worshipping the beast seems to be a shared notion of seventh day adventist eschatology, iv heard it before. Does this mean anyone that does not worship God currently on a Saturday is living in disobedience? Why exactly is sabbath worship held to such a high regard that it would be sacrilegious to worship the day after under this papacy rule? Does this view not lend itself to legalism/works-faith in a way? That the keeping of this specific commandment is the marker of who is a true believer. What do you think of Mark 2:24-28 illustrating the Sabbath as a compliment to man rather than a burden one most uphold?

    • @UNCHindman
      @UNCHindman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi my friend! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and excellent questions. The Sabbath is found in the very heart of the commandments of God (#4) and has existed since the creation of Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:1-3). When God said "remember" on Mt. Sinai (Exodus 20:8) He was referring to the fact that the Sabbath already existed long before. Since God's law is the foundation of His government I'm afraid that anyone who disregards this command, or any other, is living in disobedience. Now why is this day held in such high regard by God? The answer is that the weekly Sabbath is a memorial or "birthday" in time of His power to create us, as well as all life on earth. Therefore it reminds us weekly of the humble fact that we owe our very existence to God, and this is the first reason why we worship Him as God--because He is the Creator and we are His creation. The Sabbath anchors this special designation in time, and the devil knows how very important it is, so he has done everything in his power to cause people to think a different day of the week is holy, or to simply "forget" it, rather than remember it. I appreciate your open and sincere questions!!
      Some have suggested that keeping the Sabbath is a form of works or legalism. But the incredibly beautiful reality of the Sabbath is that it is a REST, not a WORK! That's right, on the Sabbath we are commanded to cease from all secular labor during those holy hours, trusting that the God who created us will take care of us when we work diligently on the other 6 days of the week. The Sabbath can never be legalism because when kept properly it is the very opposite of works--it is resting in faith that God will provide for all of our temporal needs if we will spend the Sabbath hours with Him focusing on our spiritual needs. What a beautiful picture this is!! It is like an outward demonstration of faith!
      I love the passage you quoted in Mark 2. Jesus lays down the principle that the Sabbath was made for man's benefit, for man's blessing. It is truly for our benefit to set aside this 24-hour period every week to especially commune with God and worship Him with other believers who recognize that this is "the Lord's Day." I've heard it said before that the most valuable thing you can give someone is your time. And as "busy" as God is running and upholding the entire universe, He has set aside a weekly time to spend with all who will acknowledge Him as their Creator and who desire a closer connection with Him. None of the commandments, including the Sabbath commandment, are ever a burden to anyone who loves God and wants to honor and worship Him. "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome." (1 John 5:3)
      I hope I have provided some additional clarity on the Sabbath! I have an entire presentation on my channel called "The Prophetic Importance of the Sabbath" that you can watch and let me know what you think. It sounds like you are doing some great studying of God's words and I'm praying God will guide and bless you!! Please let me know if you have any questions. 🙏

    Pastor Hindman, I'm following along and I believe I'm understanding. I have one question because you are identifying the Mark of the Beast has to do with the day we worship. How do you reconcile when Jesus said in Mark 2:27 "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."?

    • @UNCHindman
      @UNCHindman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi sister Vontresa! Thank you for your comment and question! Praise the Lord if this presentation has been helpful in your understanding of God's word! Yes, the Bible makes clear that the final issue at the end of time is worship. Will we worship God or follow Satan and the commandments of men? The first reason, and I would submit the greatest, as to why we worship God is because He is our Creator and we are His creation. We owe our lives and very existence to God. The weekly seventh-day Sabbath is a memorial in time of this great fact.
      We read in Genesis 2:1-3, "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." We see that God specially blessed the seventh-day Sabbath and sanctified it, that is set it apart for a special, holy purpose. Later in Scripture we find that the Sabbath is God's sign of our loyalty and allegiance that we honor and worship Him, the only true God (see Exodus 31:13,16,17; Ezekiel 20:12,20). Satan well knows the special importance of the Sabbath and has created a counterfeit day of worship to turn people away from the true God.
      As for the beautiful verses you shared, Jesus is speaking and describing the overall purpose of the Sabbath, that it was given by God to man for a blessing, and not a burden. It is a special gift of time to spend with our Creator every week that He has made holy! Only God can make time holy! Jesus is "the Son of Man" and He is "Lord of the Sabbath" because He created all things (John 1:3) He created the Sabbath, and therefore He is Lord over how that day should be properly observed. In the context of Mark 2:27 the Pharisees had accused Jesus' disciples of breaking the Sabbath. But Jesus shows them their man-made restrictions and regulations on the Sabbath were wrong--not the overall commandment itself. Do you see the difference? To be clear, Jesus didn't break the Sabbath or any of the other commandments, He just didn't follow the man-made customs and traditions that had been placed upon the Sabbath. "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love." (John 15:10)
      I hope this helps provide some further understanding for you. Let me know if you have any other questions! I'm praying God will bless you in your study of this important book! Your brother, Pastor Hindman. 😇🙏

      @@UNCHindman thank you for your explanation, I'm still chewing on it. One of my favorite passages is the Woman at the well and in John 4:24, Jesus tells the woman "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." This is why I'm doing my best to get a better understanding of the end time prophecies. I grew up Baptist, then attended Church of the Living God for a couple of years (they introduced me to the Scripture explaining itself way of reading and studying the Bible), then I attended an non-denominational church and now I'm home studying on my own. So this is very important to me to stay in the spirit and getting an understanding so I can live in truth of God's Word. Blessings Brother 💕

      3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
      Question ! Who blessed and sanctified the seventh day ?
      John 1:1-3,14,18 " 1.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
      2The same was in the beginning with God.
      3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
      14.And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
      18.No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

      The word also became flesh .
      Hast any man seen the Father or heard his voice at any time ?
      Is not the one you call Jesus Christ , the Word who became flesh ?
      The Word who became Jesus Christ blessed and sanctified the seventh day ; that while he is Lord of it .
      If you call him Lord , why do you not do what your Lord say .
      Mark 2:27-28 , " 27.And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
      28Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
      Your Mother makes a dress for you to wear .
      Jesus made the Sabbath for you to observe .
      Hebrews 4:1-10 , " 1.Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
      2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
      3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
      4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
      5And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
      6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
      7Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
      8For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
      9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
      10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
      The Sabbath is a foreshadow of the day of rest ; which will come when Jesus Christ return to reign over this earth for 1000 years at his kingdom ; or the seventh day .
      Remember , man hast been given 7 days or 7 thousand years ; the eighth day is the beginning of the Father's kingdom ; which is eternity .
      Shalom !

      Hi Friend! Yes, I believe the historicist view is how we correctly understand prophecy. Jesus said before His death and resurrection, "And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe." (John 14:29) Prophecy is history in advance and history is prophecy confirmed. Thanks for your comment and may God bless you in your study of His word!! 🙏

      @@UNCHindman thank you for your kind words. I’m curious though. How do you justify judgment being the time is at hand or near? Or this generation will not pass away or see death until judgment comes? Even the ones that pierced him? Just trying to find my way through revelation.

    • @UNCHindman
      @UNCHindman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You have a lot of excellent deep questions! I have a whole presentation on the judgement and it is based on the 2300 day prophecy of Daniel 8:14. The Bible clearly teaches that God's judgment occurs before the second coming, because when He comes, His "reward is with Him to give every man according to his deeds." (Revelation 22:12) If His reward is with Him then He must have already determined who was worthy to receive it or not. In 1 Peter 4:17 we read that judgment BEGINS at the house of God--God's people or God's church. The 2300 day prophecy reveals the time when the judgment would begin, and this announcement is part of the First Angel's Message in Revelation 14:6,7. You should watch my presentation on the 2300 days & 70 weeks prophecies (th-cam.com/video/LGcZLNAbJS8/w-d-xo.html) and then watch my presentation on Revelation 14:1-12 (th-cam.com/video/NWsqDjNT2Fk/w-d-xo.html). These questions really require much more explanation than my basic responses here! :)
      When Jesus said the words, "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matthew 24:34) He was speaking of the signs of His second coming. Almost the entirety of Matthew 24 is a description of the events that will happen before Jesus' returns again in answer to the disciples question, "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (Matthew 24:3) Jesus' statement I believe is to guarantee the certainty of His coming again to earth after all of these signs are fulfilled.
      And finally, "those that pierced him" will be resurrected at Jesus' second coming to see Him in all His power and glory (Revelation 1:7). Jesus also said this to the high priest who presided over His sham of a trial. "Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven." (Matthew 26:64) The state of the dead is a much misunderstood subject by many. I have a presentation on this that you can watch here if you are interested: (th-cam.com/video/DZHuX-L9aVk/w-d-xo.html)
      These are just very brief answers. There is much more that can be said to fully answer your questions. If you have the opportunity, I would invite you to start with the first presentation of my Bible Prophecy series and watch all 18 in order. (th-cam.com/play/PLzKHrVKU43B8j-0kN7Ivez-dntnipY7V6.html)
      This will give you a comprehensive understanding of the key prophecies in Daniel and Revelation. I'm happy to try and answer any questions when I am able but I certainly don't pretend to know everything. :) God bless you this evening. 😇

    • @UNCHindman
      @UNCHindman  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi friend! Thanks for sharing more of your thoughts. It is interesting that God gave prophetic messages hundreds and even thousands of years in advance. Notice that the prophets themselves who were given these messages did not fully grasp there meaning in their day.
      “And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.” (Daniel 8:27)
      The prophets in their day diligently studied to understand the messages given to them relating to the cross and future events.
      “Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
      11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.” (1 Peter 1:10,11) They did have some understanding, but a key principle in studying Bible prophecy is that the messages given are to be understood at the time of their fulfillment and going forward. It wouldn’t really spiritually benefit Daniel to comprehend all of the events that would happen far into the future in the 2300 day prophecy that was given through him. So why even give the message that early? I believe it is because God wants us to confidently realize that He does know the future far in advance and has given us strong evidence in Bible prophecy that He does. (Also see Isaiah 46:9,10)
      One other comment I will mention is that Daniel was told by the Angel in Daniel 12:4 to seal up the message given to him until the “time of the end.” Therefore it would not be understood (even though people could read the words) until the time would come when God would open it to the understanding of all. To restate again, prophecy is meant to be understood at the time of it’s fulfillment, because the message is particularly for the people living at that time. God sees far into the future and knows just what message people need to hear at the time they are living. I hope this helps clarify a little! You should watch my video on Daniel 12 and I explain the sealing of the book and time for its unsealing. God bless, my friend! 🙏🏼

      Dear Sister! I'm so sorry to be slow to respond to your comments and questions! I have just been so busy the past several days I haven't been able to reply to comments on TH-cam and take the time to answer questions. Please forgive me, it is not intentional! I very much value and enjoy the opportunity to answer questions whenever I am able to do so.
      Your question is excellent regarding Daniel 7 and Revelation 13. Let me try to clarify just a bit. In Daniel 7 we see 4 beasts representing 4 world empires that arise from the sea. In Revelation 17 we are told that water symbolizes people or a populated area. The 4 beasts in Daniel 7 are: Lion = Babylon, Bear = Medo-Persia, Leopard = Greece, "terrifying" beast = Rome. But in Daniel 7 we later see a little horn that arises on the 4th beast that becomes very great and powerful. Based on the 10 characteristics of the little horn in Daniel 7 it must be the Roman Catholic papacy that arose to power after the fall of the Roman Empire.
      In Revelation 13 there are 2 beasts, the first one comes up out of the sea and the second one comes up out of the earth. The first beast or "sea" beast is described in the same way as the little horn of Daniel 7. They are in fact the same power (Roman Catholic papacy) described similarly but in two different ways. So yes, there is a direct and close connection between Daniel 7 and Revelation 13. The second beast in Revelation 13 actually symbolizes the United States arising to power in a new and relatively uninhabited territory in North America. Have you seen my video on Daniel 7? I also have another video on my channel called "FOUND: The United States in Bible prophecy" that goes into great detail about the second beast of Revelation 13. I hope this helps give you a clearer picture of these 2 important chapters in Bible prophecy! Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will do my best to answer whenever I can! God bless you!! 🙏

    Here's the thing! John wrote this amazing book in 95 A.D. after Nero passed. Yet 666 or 616 were Gematria or numerically pointing to Nero.. .a prototype and an Anti-Christ figure no doubt. Constantine was not Anti-Christ! Romans were Pagans, but Constantine certainly helped Christian's. Sunday has zip to do with the Sun God! Otherwise Saturdsy is the worship of Saturn. Jesus' very first church service was on Sunday, not Saturday! Also, the church was born on the Day of Pentecost on a Sunday. The original 7th day God blessed and sanctified was not a 24 hour physical day.....it was a spiritual, perpetual, eternal 7th day, not a rotating weekly 7th day. Adventism, if which I was raised, totally undermines the New Testament, by lying about the law, the Torah. On one hand you say the law is the 10 Commandments, which God's eternal law is spiritually kept, because God is a Spirit being and so are we. We dont need the 10 Commandments as born-again believers to keep God's law! The Old Testament is just a physical Covenant that Christ fulfilled in the flesh, all the Torah...all of it. We keep the law by walking in the Spirit. By loving one another. It still hinges on grace anyway. If you go backward to the flesh, the outward, the letter, you then are denying Jesus Christ and His blood of the New Testament. Get off Ellen G White's horrific false slanderous doctrines of devils, and read the Bible! No Christian is bound by the laws of Moses! Of which, none of us can keep anyway. Adventism says were still under the law.....no....Jesus set us free from the law, free to do good, to love, etc....not free to go murder, commit adultery, lie, steal, covet, etc....

      Jesuit founded preterist Neron Cæsar (NRWN QSR) adds up to 1316 and not 666 or 616.

    You initiated a few good points at start but you made a whole lot of mistakes after 10 minutes!!!!!!
    Who mentored you??? You shouldn’t teach the Holy Scriptures because you need to be taught. I can mentor you if you are humble!

      @@UNCHindman Not think! I heard clearly the big mistakes that you ignorantly made. Let me state it in few words; ‘Papacy/Roman Catholic Church had/has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BEAST/BEASTS OF REVELATION......
