      If the White guy was slightly above average as a striker, that "Muay Thai phenom" would have had his head punched in many times over, hard. The head of that Thai guy looked to be on some high-end mechanical stabilizer, as it stayed completely unmoved, whether the guy's throwing kicks & strikes or the other guy who's doing that... His kicks, though, are superb as a Muay Thai guy...

      Thats the face of someone who's mother was a prostitute who left and deserted them when they were a baby and was raised to be a muay thai fighter by the adopted family/gym in the village. A lot of these muay thai phenoms like tawanchai are a result of the mothers leaving their kids to be working girls in pattaya etc. The babies pretty much get adopted by a local gym and train their from a very early age.

      Tawanchal was destroying him WHILE MOVING BACKWARDS. Clancy showed no head movement and no side-to-side movement, to such an extent that the broadcast team was commenting on it. in the first round.
      .
      yes, Tawanchal is fast and accurate and brutal. and he can apply pressure when he wants to. but if he was "controlling the ring", Clancy wouldn't have been backing him into the fence. as he did multiple times.
      .
      Tawanchal wasn't even concealing what he was doing. that left foot to the head was a shot he was landing throughout the fight and CLANCY NEVER DEFENDED IT. yeah, it's fast. but you've got to get a block up or duck or something. and no matter how you defend it, you'd better start moving away from that kick.

    @clarkmeyer7211 ปีที่แล้ว +1011

    He didn't look bored. That's the face of a man that has incredible self control. Finds the middle ground between relaxed and ready to fight. If you look at the difference between the two you can see who has less erratic movements. He's maximized his potential just by finding a calm ground to work with. If there was a ever a time to show how powerful a clear mind is in a fight this would be it. No fluster. He isn't hard focused he isn't too relaxed either. (although you could argue he looks like he is)
    It's actually pretty fascinating to see someone master such an underrated skill. I mean yes, I'm sure fighters always try to keep a calm mind but hardly anyone takes it to this level. It clearly helped him to stay at the right distance, exert enough energy needed for every exchange and just dominate the ring by holding his ground never advancing too early or backing out from fear of being hit.

    watching an extremely talented Muay Thai fighter is such an intense experience after being overloaded with MMA its fkn awesome to watch a fighter with such skills in such a pure, refined style of fighting, the focus and ability to stay calm is just another arrow in his quiver . that calmness is a powerful mental weapon and can be just as dangerous as striking. big props to Clance for taking that beating and to both for such a positive display of sportsmanship during and after the fight.

    Wow this masterpiece. Tawanchai is an artist. Not single kick or puch was a waste.

    One of the cleanest and classiest fights I have seen in a long time. I dare to say it reminds me of "old school" fighting. Really enjoyed both opponents' efforts.

      This isn't about Muay Thai, it's about the fighter. The speed of his strikes cannot be learned.

      i wanna do this now, im a wrestler but i’m thinking of doing another combat sport. maybe muay thai is it?

      @Persxnal yea either Muay Thai or kickboxing. I’ve done both and I’ve formed a style that incorporates both. Don’t just do boxing like a lot of wrestlers I know do, your legs are powerful weapons, learn how to use them. Best of luck to u man 👍

    I’ve never watched him before but one of the things that stood out was his ability to stay in form no matter how hard of a sot he took. It’s like he’s unmovable and un-phased by shots
