- T______________T...NEVER! In my entire life I would expect an on-screen death from Onepiece!! Losing Ace..is just...unspeakable but I admire Oda's guts to do it.

Today's anime episode... I cried, I literally burst into tears...; 3;
I really didn't see it coming, but when I first heard about Ace dying a couple months back, I just thought more of rumors than spoilers... But damn, how could Oda kill off such a big minor character?! TT.TT I'm sure he has something planned.
About this tribute, it was nicely made. Great choice in music, it really heightens the emotions. GJ ; ^;

im glad ace got to choose how he died, protecting luffy rather than execution. the weight of his blood was great, but he still turned out to be someone everyone would cry over. when he asked himself "why am i so happy?" he actually understood his own worth.
oda is such a freakin genius, rereading the previous chapters, you can tell he planned this since ace's appearance.
i'll miss you ace.
I love this! Yes, I am a HUGE fan of One Piece and the latest chapter still has me in tears. Why does the first characte to be killed off in the present time have to be my favorite one??

I was in tears reading the chapter..who would have expected the arc revolving around 'rescuing ace' would ended up being unsucessful in the end? It's very shocking and unpredictable. Even worst, he was Roger's son!

Ace was my reason for watching one piece! i didnt even have an interest in the show till i saw the episode with him! why did he have to die? its not fair

When i first heard about One Piece i thought it really sucked so i didn't start reading the manga or watch the anime until i saw in shonen jump monthly Ace death and althought i didn't read the manga that moment was just epic. I started watching the anime and i'm happy I gave it a chance because this is the best anime ever!

It was really really sad that Ace had to die... =( along with Whitebeard...but still, Oda deserves credit for being really creative-just when we thought that Ace was saved, he died.

Hell yeah in 3 weeks the new onepiece chapter coems out and Luffy will have learned how to use haki cause of his 2yrs of training and is gonna go beast on the marines asses i can't wait it's gonna be tight as hell but damn i still can't it that ace died it feels weird well anyways r.i.p. ace and good luck Luffy!! But I cant help getting the feeling that Ace's death is so painful to Luffy that he will have a psychological breakdown.. His facial expression at the end was..worrying.

People sometimes fear the ones who kill your friends and family. Is it possible that Luffy might be afraid of Akainu? Your nakama won't be saved by luck all the time.

Ace is a wonderful character, certainly, he may have done things that may contributed to his death (hunting BB, easily provoked by Akainu) but he died as a Hero. It's a powerful chapter..T_T
