Hey Michael, I am a bachata dancer and in order to improve my musicality, I am also learining about the rhytm and how it is played. This video is extremely helpful not only for the musicans but also for the dancers like me, because I can finaly understand, what is the basic structure for the three different patterns (derecho, Majao and Mambo). Thank you for the video! :))
Hi Michael, I really enjoy your teaching style on these videos. I appreciate the Spanish captioning so I can brush up…high school was muchos años pasados. Thank you!
Dankjewel!
Elisa France

thank you for this useful lesson, I'm trying to make a bacata song and this will help me a lot, :-) please make a video what tone bongos are tuned, not only in bacata but in general, greetings from faraway Croatia
I am new to music so I do not really know much about the vocabulary. But is mambo not played in "triple tempo" after the first beat? Because you have 9 notes following and play them three times as fast.
Thank you, Antonio. The Play Along videos are on my Patreon channel. I have about 300 different videos on my Patreon channel. www.patreon.com/MichaeldeMiranda
Excellent indeed. If you analyze and replay bachata riffs, you may want to check out Victor Victor (any album, famous song here: th-cam.com/video/4wAjnd8qvbQ/w-d-xo.html) or Juan Luis Guerra's "Bachata Rosa" album.
