      It's a pretty involved process, but I get this request a lot! If I ever get more time free, I would love to offer a course. 👍

      Hello there! I spent several years in Grand Junction so I know right where that's at! I do try to make videos whenever I can, however I do run a pretty successful jewelry business full time. Thanks for understanding!

    I'm looking for a tool that could punch a hole in the top of a full can of soda without crushing the can. Do you think think Arbor press can do it?

    • @beadandbones
      @beadandbones  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's definitely gonna crush a can. Best of luck! 🤞

    Where do you get the actual stamping accessories from? I have looked online everywhere & can't find anywhere that sells them

      You can find stamps from many online jewelry companies such as cooltools or firemountain, but there's also several companies that will make custom stamps for you! Try googling "stamps for metal jewelry". 💖

      Yes, I use a combination of etching and stamping in my work. 💟

    I’m from the UK, I’ve found a similar machine but can’t find the attachment you have for the metal stamps to fit into. Hope you don’t mind me asking what is the attachment name?
    Thanks for your videos they are so helpful!!

      Hi there! I'm not sure it has a specific name, but I do know the company that makes mine offers just that part-- I bet they can shop to the UK! 👍

    I bought this tool not long ago and cannot get it to make an impression no matter what I do.

    hi, for those of you that use a 1/2 ton arbor press...
    what ga metal do you use with it?
    i bought one and a few design stamps a month ago, and i tried using 24ga dead stof sterling silver, nothing transfered, so i went to 26ga, and i got a little impression and a better one after i used a hammer on the ram, which i dont want to do. i thought i would just have to pull the handle down and then my design would be on the metal? maybe im just really weak? i just ordered 28ga but am worried that might be too thin.
    i can never get the full design when i hand stam, i've tried the tilt n tap but always mess it up. letter stamps,numbers and simple designs i have no problem free handing on metals up to 24ga.

    Could you use this method for making enamel pins?

    • @beadandbones
      @beadandbones  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! In order to create a deep enough impression to hold enamel, I would suggest something heavier duty like a hydraulic press. Best of luck!

    Do you think it would have enough force to stamp tools

    • @beadandbones
      @beadandbones  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. For steel you will need a hydraulic press. 👍💕💕

    What gauge metal are you stamping? I have a one-ton Arbor Press that works great on leather but I can hardly make a dent on even fairly thin metal with my press. I just got it so I am thinking I may need to return it for a hydraulic model instead.

    • @daniellerhodes8933
      @daniellerhodes8933 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm having the same issues! I can't get any full impression on any metal I try and my stamps are rated to stamp up to stainless steel. I am very disappointed with this machine.

    • @aly3560
      @aly3560 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@daniellerhodes8933 yes! I have seen several people post here showing a very nice, deep stamp from an arbor press! It does not work like she is showing! She is only using a half ton! I had a ton Press and it didn’t work. I tried everything! It works great on leather but NOTHING on metal! I took my press back. I can’t believe that I need a hydraulic just to stamp 24 gauge copper!

      Just a thought.😊
