I honestly quite like the idea of him as a character, could also have his second ability be the fact that when he tracks a character you have the option to latch onto that person and your character automatically moves towards them, like they’re being pulled towards that character. Also Bunzo is legit just Boxy but with cymbals let’s be real
I could definitely see PJ making it into the game, although it may not be a main character, it would probably have some very fun and cool mechanics to play. I would love to see this soon.
Ok i’m about to like go in full about literally anything i thought about PJ so srry in advance 😭 If they add PJ to the game, he will obviously be different. He would be biting players, not punching them. He would have to climb down ledges (unless he specifically can't go down, like maybe he is scared, I don't know). He would probably be one of the more annoying monsters to avoid since they would have to give him collision so players can't just camp inside PJ's body. This also means that PJ can't just turn around; he would have to maneuver around his own body or walk around things (best example is the popcorn counter in the theater). Also, if gates closed on PJ, PJ would probably get stunned. They would also have to improve his appearance, like they did with Huggy and Mommy. They scaled Mommy down and gave her a more rotted, withered appearance, and made Huggy's mouth appear more human/beast-like. Like, I don't know, give PJ fur like how Cassie was going to have it and also wither him and make him seem like he is rabid and distressed and is just ready to kill and get it over with. PJ being here would have major lore implications. Like, personally (I don't know about everyone), I would like to think PJ isn't a brutal killer; he never killed the kids who lost or something... edit: haha you thought i was done.. omg im so cringey heres just random gameplay stuff 1. If someone runs into a segment of PJ, a sprite of a player running into PJ would appear in red and flash to alert PJ that someone has run into him or is behind him. 2. If someone gets on top of him, I like your idea of him crouching and like pressing space to shake them off. It would be neat if the player played an animation of them falling onto the ground and getting up. PJ wouldn't be able to attack them, and if so, it would do so little damage. 3. If PJ jumps from a high place, he can't actually jump offhe can just walk off. So, if it isn't that high, PJ's remaining body would be on the wall or in the vent he fell from. If it's high enough, the same thing will happen. 4. This isn't a gameplay thing, but since he is a dog, and he would be kind of overpowered, he would make dog panting sounds and barks as an alert to players of where he is at.
Small idea for the basic attack I call it the “pug rush” charge mechanic stays but instead of biting pj rushes forward (how far and how strong depends on long you charge it with the full charge instantly killing whoever you run into) but the downsides are that the steering is trash and that the pug rush has a cool down that gets longer the more you charge it. And if pj runs into a wall he’s stunned for a moment (how long your stunned for depends how far you traveled before you hit the wall) All in all this mechanic is best used to cover long hallways quickly or to make last resort mad dash at a target who’s about to escape and potentialy turn the tide of the game in your favour. but use it recklessly and the others will surely starve Edit: just taping the attack button will still have pj do the bite attack.
I don't know if you or Mob will read this, but I think if this game continues support, especially now that Chapter 3 increased Poppy Playtime's overall popularity, they can use some of the concepts originally scrapped from the main game, I'll give an example: In the video "10 Lost Secrets in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2", it was revealed that Daisy was supposed to be the original character for musical memory, but was ultimately replaced by Bunzo (who should also come to Project btw). She didn't fit the theming of the chapter 2 minigame, but could better fit as a debuting character in Project (obviously as a new playable monster). They could even go the route you said at the beginning of your video and make some non-canon monster characters like Bron or Poppy (even though I predict she'll become a twist villain later). However, I personally don't think Catbee, Candy Cat or Boogie Bot should be monsters because they already serve a purpose as the toys being built in Project. Bonus: Besides Catnap and PJ, here are some other characters that may be good picks as new monsters: -Daisy (already mentioned) -Bunzo -Dogday (one of his abilities can be to use the plushy Smiling Critters to deal damage) -Miss Delight (but instead of full-stopping when looked at she can just be slowed down) -The Prototype (if he is ever fully revealed) -Possibly one of the other Smiling Critters (Bigger Body) that may or may not be alive? (if they don't want them as monsters they could just place their dead bodies around some new maps as easter eggs). But most of all, I want this game to come to ALL consoles (including Xbox, which was forgotten with the chapter 1 console release). Also, I hope they change their mind and bring back the Wuggy Pit (aka Wulag).
If PJ PUG-A-PILLAR come in Project PLAYTIME, here's how I think he should play like: When we play as PJ, instead of seeing his paws, we will see his teeth and his tongue. Take Yagorath from PALADINS as exemple. PJ will not be able to jump or crouch and he would be the slowest monster in the game but PJ would have a passive ability which would make him able to crawl across all surfaces and enter small spaces easily. If PJ uses the jump buttom during his passive ability, he will slide to the ground. Instead of crouch, PJ will raise his upper body. At first glance it seems useless but since PJ's eyesight is very low, it will allow him to see better up high. He won't be able to move but he will still be able to attack and use his second capacity. PJ would attack with his mouth (obviously) and put opponents down with 3 hits. PJ would crush the player in the ground with his head during the jumpscare animation. His first capacity would be the "hunt mode". When PJ enters this mode, his speed will increase by 20% and he will have to choose a player to hunt down. PJ will have 10sec to kill the player chosen. If PJ manages to hit the player chosen, he will one shot him. The player will not be able to hear him but if the player see him, the ability will be canceled. His 2nd capacity would be the "statues". PJ can place 3 small statues of himself on all surfaces (the same one that we can found during chap2) and if the player gets too close to the statues, the statues will start playing music within a 10m radius. Not only the music will alerts PJ where the players in the radius are until they disable it but it would also give him a speedboost until the music stop. The players can disable them with the Grabpack.
Yea having PJ added will be interesting cause of his size but looking at it he would probably be 3 or 4 feet irl so he isn’t huge but more like the size of a Great Dane edit: also now that i have thought of it a lot umm how will jumping off something work? only example i can think of is the vent of the laundry room in theater like would he just climb down it or like fly 😭

I would say have the auto track as an option, but yeah that works.

Yes these would all be necessary, and I’m pretty sure pj was just bossed around by mommy and that’s the only reason he’s ever killed 😭
