    Great videos man. Congrats on the TBI, Im in California, want to plan a trip up to Mcnutt, when you you say is prime riding months up there?

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! Prime riding months would be the spring or fall with ideal conditions being a couple days after rainfall. It gets too dusty in the summer and a bit cold in the winter (sometimes snow). But you can ride here all year round. It’s always a good time.

    Hi from 🇬🇧🇬🇧
    Is that an official riding area? Places like that in the UK are few & far between & it looks amazing 👌🏻👌🏻

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Yes it’s one of the big established riding areas here. We are lucky to have a number of these close to home here in BC Canada 🇨🇦.

    How was the break in process? Any oil change yet? Getting my 24 TE 250 this week!

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just rode it at low to mid RPMs for the first couple rides. Did the first oil change at 3.9 hours. Congrats man! Have fun out there.

    Conditions look good. How is the TE suspension compared to your TX. New stuff is supposed to be smooth.
    What about the power. Is the TE mapping like the XCW in that it is not as aggressive as the XC or TX?

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Huge difference in the suspension and power delivery. The 24 TE suspension is way more plush than my TX and it feels much better on the trails. The TX was harsh in the slower stuff, but was very good at speed.
      Power is also way less aggressive than my TX and lugs down low really well. Traction is amazing and I found myself stalling the bike a lot less because of it. It still has a ton of power if you crack the throttle open, just not as instant as my TX. I'm going to put a different throttle cam in the 24 TE to shorten the throttle pull (It's twice what it was on my TX) just to tap into that power easier.
      Overall the 24 TE is way better for the riding I do and is super easy to ride.

    How did you get a map switch! Backordered til March

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The TE300s come with them from the dealer. Yeah, I’ve heard they’re a pain to get hold of. Apparently you can remove the end cap resistor plugged into the harness and it will switch to the green map (aggressive). If the end cap is on then it’ll be in the white map.

      @thesmoness 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stanbarry regular TE came with them not just pro? Huh. Yes I’ve heard that about the plug as well and I unplugged mine. Gonna pull the one off my 350 for now. It has the extra buttons for traction control etc but I think it will still work

      @@thesmonessMy standard TE came with it at least. Yeah, worth trying the 350 map switch for now.

    hey, i was on "The Line" yesterday, pretty slips, and loosen soil, i only did half way and turned back down. Does it better in Summer or just like this all the season ?

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! The line is pretty difficult all season, but the loose soil is way worse in the summer. I would say its little easier in the wet months because the moisture helps hold the dirt together which means more traction. The roots are more slippery in the winter however, but as long as you have momentum they are manageable.

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  ปีที่แล้ว

      I take that back, it was way harder in the wet. Mainly due to two of the root step ups. I struggled so bad, but had no issue in the dry weather.

    • @linaliu9173
      @linaliu9173 ปีที่แล้ว

      :), The position: big tree roots and rock with green moss on right, it was digged very big hole, pretty hard to get on even with small pave, had to do two step jump on it. I also had really loose chain due to adjuster put on opposite way, half fall off all the time, that made me turn back down from about middle-way, just before the elbow turn right and there was a big rock. @@stanbarry

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@PNWSingleTrack I swear I do haha. I shoot in 4K60 60 FPS with high bit rate, hyper smooth, and super view. Auto shutter, EV comp -0.5, white balance 5500K, ISO min 100, ISO max 3200. The real trick for me is shooting in low sharpness and flat gopro colour. Flat mode grabs a lot more detail, but you have to add sharpness and colour in the video editor.

    how is the fuel range on the tbi vs tpi?

    • @stanbarry
      @stanbarry  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't noticed any major difference between the two. The stock tank is more than enough fuel for the rides I do. I often end up returning with half a tank or more left.
