I held my breath when Phabeni was confidently trotting his way to Jabulani. Wonderful sight to see those exchanges of smell and touch. A milestone event. The whole herd knows of course that Phabeni is around. I hope this helps the introduction to the entire herd and that this helps Phabeni to further develop her elephant spirit.

Yes he is just eating grass. At this moment he had no another interesting. The big Bull. 😊 Phabeni is so interested to see how it works to handle and training the trunk. So much to learn. Only elefants can teach him the importend way to survive. May be next time there will be the female elefants that give him the feeling of staying together ❤

The little one is getting to very curious and brave! I know Lundi is going to be his new mother but I can't wait to see Limpopo with Phabeni!
Phabeni handled that introduction so well, brimming with confidence. Lovely how Jabulani just takes it all in his stride, no fuss, so cool and calm. Oh happy day! Much gratitude to the loving hard work the staff at Herd has put in to care for Phabeni and help him heal. He looks quite healthy now. He has filled out, lost that sunken look and moves about now with confidence. My heart is full of happiness for what’s ahead for Phabeni and the Herd.

Phabeni handled this SO well, like Jabu has always been his big brother, he just walked up to him with no hesitancy or doubt! I think the calmness of Phabeni in this new encounter with an elephant shows how secure and content he is with his humans who care for him. He is not reaching out to Jabulani in any urgent need or longing. He finds him exciting and impressive, but is also interested in other things. Phabeni seems content, relaxed and happy! PHABENI HAS THE CUTEST LITTLE TRUNK EVER!!!💓💓💓 That big beautiful gentle soul Jubalani to the rescue! It was a great idea to let Jabulani come all the time to visit with Phabeni. The little one is getting to very curious and brave! I know Lundi is going to be his new mother but I can't wait to see Limpopo with Phabeni!
Phabeni handled that introduction so well, brimming with confidence. Lovely how Jabulani just takes it all in his stride, no fuss, so cool and calm. Little Phabeni is so small next to Jabulani, and his trunk is so dinky, too cute! And he does listen well, coming when he's called and responding so positively to Adine's voice. Looking forward to seeing more introductions ❤🐘❤

Oh happy day! Much gratitude to the loving hard work the staff at Herd has put in to care for Phabeni and help him heal. He looks quite healthy now. He has filled out, lost that sunken look and moves about now with confidence. My heart is full of happiness for what’s ahead for Phabeni and the Herd.

What a lovely introduction! Jabu is SUCH a kind soul, I remember his meeting with Khanyisa brought me to tears once they were finally trunk to trunk!! Phabeni handled this SO well, like Jabu has always been his big brother, he just walked up to him with no hesitancy or doubt!

Those of us who have been here for years have already found you outside of YTube, but for that one passerby that may happen to just pop in on a whim today may not have the gumption to go looking. Make it easy for them! You can have it set up in the preset format in your YTube Studio options, then for each video just add additional blurbs of storyline as you produce them, but that link(s) will always be there! I think the calmness of Phabeni in this new encounter with an elephant shows how secure and content he is with his humans who care for him. He is not reaching out to Jabulani in any urgent need or longing. He finds him exciting and impressive, but is also interested in other things. Phabeni seems content, relaxed and happy! Great work by the HERD team! They really know how to give elephants a new chance in life. I am so grateful that you are all doing this job so fantastically well. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤
