RESPECT GREENLAND! 🇬🇱
Thanks Gus for your videos: they're always interesting and currents😊
Then why doesn’t denmark leave Greenland?
Must be so difficult to answer these questions from a guy who is from the country they want to leave!!
So many years of oppression and then, a guy who might be friendly... How to say to him to Fxxk oxx in I polite way!?
The Greenlanders are so close now - so close to the freedom from Denmark they've wanted for so many years, it must be overwhelming to be as close as they are now..
I truly hope it works out for them this time.. ❤️🌹❤️
@@yashvashistha7804 its the greenlandic poeples own choice to leave the danish commonwealth, its not about denmark leaving them as if it were a colonialist case like you make it out to be.
@@yashvashistha7804 If Greenland wanted Denmark to exit they would. But the economy of Greenland is still quite fragile, so Greenland have so far decided to stay as a self governing terretory of Denmark. But they are free to leave Denmark if they vote for that.

The questions Trump will never answer about Greenland...
will the US government...
... guarantee free healthcare and paid sick leave for the people of Greenland?
... guarantee people in Greenland paid maternity leave and the children's first day of sick leave?
... guarantee abortion rights for all women in Greenland?
... guarantee free education?
... guarantee a minimum wage like the one in Denmark?
... guarantee paid summer vacation and other paid holidays for Greenlanders?
... guarantee a minimum of 5 weeks of vacation for Greenlanders?
... guarantee the luxury of a work-life balance, and no one has to work more than 38 hours a week to survive?
... when you retire, does the government give Greenlanders a small subsidy every month?
... make the same European food restrictions on all the high fructose corn syrup and other crap that companies get away with putting in American foods?
... make sure there are no billboards everywhere?
the answer is no, but empty the ressources YES
@@gus1thego LOL You don tknow the answer . Formal negotiations haven't started yet. Stop posting unfounded facts you are acting like a moron.
You realise Trump is just trolling right? Why’d he want to take greenland to begin with lol
yes. it will become the emirates of the western world. no more fishing for the danish kingdom. let the kingdom protect itself by itself
Denmark didn't do anything for Greenland, until after it experienced US tutelage during WW2 and was given back to Denmark. Denmark has only cared about the Greenlandic people every time the US has expressed interest in the territory. What the US can do better than Denmark is provide capital, know how and equipment to enable the Greenlandic people to utilize their resources, become more secure, and achieve real independence. The block grant sounds great, but it just extends Greenland's dependence on Denmark. Once the Greenlanders become insanely rich through American support, all the current Danish benefits will become trivial... Oh and btw, that free Danish healthcare included forced sterilization of women for decades, which essentially cut the Greenlandic population by half in some estimates.

People in Greenland do not want to be Americans. Nor do we want to be a part of the US. And the vast majority of the people in Greenland do not hate Danes or Denmark. Most people
have Danish ancestors or Danish relatives.
Greenland deserves to be how they are now and independent without anyone standing in the way
Im a half Greenlander, half Dane and military veteran. I just want to say two things:
1. Greenlands future should be decided in Greenland, not in USA. Coercion from a friend and ally is just wrong. Trumps arguments are strange. The US military already have a base in Greenland and can have more if they ask nicely. And Greenland would like the US to invest in mining projects as well. So his two arguments for controling Greenland are null, since there are no obstacles to US goals as things presently are.
2. Greenland can never obtain full independence without a fall in living standards. No amount of mining, turism or oil will be enough. The respected Greenlandic proffessor in geology, Minik Rosing, has made that very clear. We can enter a free association with the US or Denmark, but defacto we would still have to give them influence in order to get their money. Since Denmark presently only has influence on our foreign policy and security, it is difficult to imagine how a free association would change much. We would still be selling influence of foreign policy and security for money. Therefore, staying in the Kingdom, in some way or another, is probably best.
you better pay more tax to protect precious Greenland when the ice melts cina and russia will swoop in to subvert you :)
Trump want to be a president that expand the USA, that is the only reason he has. The first 3 places he tested water is Mexico, Canada, and as you know Greenland. He has not tried to put tariffs on Denmark, that would be stupid, as they make ozempic that USA buy a lot of, and if the price went up, well guess how the users would complain.
No worry, it is not going to happen, if he takes a country, I will be Mexico, to "get rid of the gangs."
Esentially Greenlanders have a choice here. USA,or China.
@@WiseMan22 What?
The nordics are more than capable of defending greenland, we dont need the US for anything, you lost against camal jockeys in clip claps for god sake
@ I would like to answer you a more diplomatically than legatlegions, but essentially he is correct. It is difficult to patrol all of Greenland, but it is not difficult to defend Greenland because it is almost impossible to invade it. You can land somewhere and try to establish a base, but where would an invasion force go from there? There is no overland connection between anything in Greenland. Any "invasion" will soon descend into an attempt to just survive and perhaps be rescued.
As for the choice between, USA and China. There has never been any Chinese military interest in Greenland. No Chinese military ship has ever been near to Greenland. The nearest has been a joint Russian-Chinese exercise in the Bering Strait, so close to Alaska. Plz look at a globe, how do you expect China to project power to Greenland? Even visits of civilian Chinese ships to Greenland or its waters are extremely rare. Historically there has only been two attempts at Chinese investment in Greenland and both in the end came to nothing. There is, and this is disappointing to Greenland very little US investment in Greenland. Commonwealth countries are much more active (Canada, UK, even Australia), EU countries are far more active, and Denmark is by far the biggest investor (it is a mistake that I talk about countries, I should say companies from these countries).
Greenlanders seem really chill. Whatever happens in the future I hope Greenland will want to stay friends with the rest of the Nordics 🇸🇪❤️🇬🇱
Denmark gives Greenland 4-5 billions DKK every year. Economic wise I don't think Greenland will do better without help from Denmark
Investment from China will cover more than that for sure.
@@Funica11nope, there is no Chinese investment in Greenland. There was some interest a few years ago, but really not much and it all came to nothing

I am a Dane and I absolutely love the people of Greenland. I was lucky to have a girlfriend for a while who introduced me to the Greenlandic culture. But I strongly believe that the future of Greenland should be decided by the natives of Greenland only. They were born there and it's their place. I hope that they will want to stay friends with Denmark though. 🙂
I think most greenlanders thinks that too🙏❤️
of course Greenland will stay friends with Denmark. That's essentially what this is all about, preservation. With all due diligence and respect, Denmark does not have the capacity to secure freedom for Europe when the ice melts and rogue actors move in. Look at what cina has done in west Philippine sea, making artificial islands in non cinese exclusive economic zone. It would be selfish of Greenland to not allow Greenland to understand the strategic geo political threats that lay ahead. To ignore them will be fatal for all of western civilization, Greenland is the new frontier for the west, lets not ignore that even if you are a left wing voter
@@FreeSpeech-z6j This can all be done within the context of NATO, as Greenland is a NATO member. No need to steal native peoples land in order to protect them.
I agree with you 👍
@@biking-viking-claus-andersen There will be a very attractive offer to the Greenland people, better than what Denmark can ever offer. If Greenlanders are not ready for independence, that is fine, everyone should respect that, however with the ice melting USA shall force Denmark to pay more into NATO because it will be more accessible by cina & russia and increased threat (as I mentioned in last post, Cina is taking Philippine and Vietnamese exclusive economic zone water and also Russia took Ukraine by force)
Again, that is fine if Denmark does not want to pay more into NATO because it has more territory than all other Euro countries. in that instance, I sincerely hope with all my heart that Europe is stuck in the middle of cina and russia fighting over Europe with out USA support

What is not mentioned a lot, is that around a quarter af all Greenlandes live in Denmark Europe at this moment.
A simple "yes or no" doesn’t capture the reality. Some Greenlanders do resent Denmark due to historical and political issues - forced relocations, cultural suppression, and economic dependency. However, many have moved past this, recognizing the benefits of cooperation while still advocating for more autonomy or full independence. It’s a complex relationship, not just hate or love.
true but also the youth has pretty much lived in the new relationship so they don't have as strong opinion on past violations. also many have directly been in Denmark to study and so views Denmark completely differently. they still want Independence to some degree and i support that but yeah this is definetely a more complex topic

@@FreeSpeech-z6j No people truly are native to anywhere..
but on this topic, the Vikings came before most of the actual Inuit tribes living there now, and yeah most of them migrated to Greenland from modern day Canada.
@@FreeSpeech-z6j Really? The Viking Erik the Red settled in Greenland around the year 980, more than 200 years before the ancestors of today's Greenlandic Inuit arrived on the island! The Norse stayed on the island for almost 500 years but left during the Little Ice Age. Since 1261 Greenland was very officially part of the Kingdom of Norway. In 1380 Norway fusioned with Denmark. In 1721 the Norwegian-Danish missionary Hans Egede arrived and founded Godthaab (Nuuk). Greenland has thus been Scandinavian since over thousand years and specifically Danish since 1721, half a century before the US was founded!

Could you do interviews in Denmark? I want to know what the Danish people think about this dispute. I could not find any Danish street interviews about it at this moment.
I don't think they willingly will. It's all about 'having' Greenland, not the people. It'll always be about the 'trillions' they give Greenland each year, we don't take/have any chance. They never talk about the 10.000 etnic danes, who use most of the money they always talk about. So many factors easily avoided in the debates.
the meaning of Trump will surely not be positive be sure on that
@heleneefraimsen1854 Wrong majority of danes see it as a choice that greenlanders have to choose by themself and most danes were horrified of what had been going on in the 70s and before…

"Faroese aren't a separate people, they're just Danes living on the Faroe Islands"
They are every bit as much their own people as the inuits of Greenland are. Faroese people are together with Icelanders their own unique ethnicity (Norse-Gaelic, primarily Norwegian-Irish or Norwegian-Scottish), they speak their own unique language and has been living on the Faroe islands for several centuries longer than inuits have been on Greenland. The fact that they aren't granted the same rights as other indigenous groups is really just an indictment of how flawed this system is.
What is the future of Greenland?
If Greenland accepts any "deal" with Usa it can say GOODBYE to its own existence = IRREVERSABLE DAMAGE.
ALWAYS REMEMBER their "word" has MULTIPLE meanings to serve only "own corporate interests".

Irreversible damage to the world if the mountains are turned into rubble changing Wind patterns etc.
This is not about Greenlanders hating Denmark. America offering to Buy Greenland from Denmark as a gesture is something that Russia did not afford Ukraine. It is about capacity to defend Europe, Greenland is the last frontier for Europe and the free democratic west with the ice melting and making Greenland more accessible by rogue actors (look at how cina has claimed waters in Philippine exclusive economic zone)
*It will be especially selfish of Denmark government not to do a deal with USA in the name of protecting western lifestyle and keeping opposing forces from our shores from subverting our citizens and sovereign governments*
What's with the yelling... And stop yelling at Greenlandes period. Btw - USA have a base on Greenland, is that one of the deals you mention that makes you think you talk for us Danes that Greenland can foxtrot oscar? Cos even without the yelling, we will disagree...
As a Dane, i think one of our most important geopolitical tasks in general is to cultivate self-determination for both the Faroese and Greenlandic people. If they can't get full independence, they should atleast have full self-determination (That is, if they choose not to get full independence, it should be our duty to give them the next best thing).
A people should have the right to make their own decisions for themselves, and they'll only get that from Denmark. It is otherwise very unheard of in the grand scheme of former colonies and their former colonizers, that they get much of anything. We should be proud of that here in Denmark even if more can be done. No other country in the world is fully administrated by an Inuit population, Greenlanders should be proud of that. (Yes i know a lot of administrative personnel are Danish, but they adhere to the Greenlandic departments of government, so functionally the same).
As a Dane, I don't want the Greenlandic people to feel like hostages or Denmark as an owner... we're over that.
I'd be happy if they are okay with staying in the kingdom, even when they manage to become financially independent... but that, of course, also means that Copenhagen should be ready to let the Greenlandic government decide everything themselves.. it's not fair if DK is in the way all the time.
I'd not think that they would be treated better by Washington.
Danes can't defend a city park, let alone an island 100 times the size of Denmark.
@@WiseMan22 that's somewhat correct.
Our police would need to call all units to defend a park.
Our military is a tad better equipped, but we don't usually use military against civilians.
Our own mistake? Perhaps.
But one point a lot of the bigger powers miss is that DK has quite an amount of soft power (also known as diplomacy and financial influence)...
France has already offered to send French troops under EU flag to Greenland to deter a USAn invasion.
Our royal family has strong connections to China and our diplomatic situation with that little country is comparatively good considering how tRump has named them as direct enemies.
We've p!ssed off the kremlin a few times... guess why 47 aims at us as one of the first? He wants to favour his friend.
If tRump wants to say goodbye to Danish cooperation, F22 and F35 jets won't be able to find their targets because their radars are made and maintained by a Danish company called Terma.
And there'd be no ship deliveries from Maersk and no ozempic for the ones suffering from diabetes and no Lego to distracting kids from losing a parent or grandparent because of that.

That the settlers where from what we today call Norway, sure - but claiming they where Norwegians at the time is a bit more - Meh...
@TainDK Well, try saying that to Icelanders and Faroe Islanders. Doesn't matter if Norway and Denmark were in a union from time to time. Icelandic settlement started in the 800's, more then 300 years before the Kalmar Union. Our ancestors mostly came from what are to day Norway's West Fjords, same with Faroe Islands. You don't go around calling Norwegians Danish, do you? You don't call yourself Norwegian, do you? (Assuming you're Danish). This is a stupid argument that really doesn't make much sense. I hope they stay - but I fully support their choice. For the Kings sake i hope they at least would consider doing like Canada and keep the Royals in some way.
@ bla bla bla. then US need an additional 2% for each state because theyre each the size of a country bla bla bla. denmarks size havent changed since they signed that treaty. greenland was included back then too. but since you talk about payment then US had their airbase and early warning system for free on greenland for like 70 years. should we charge a rent of a billion a year to help support greenland ? maybe with backpay even ?

"Faroese are just danes living in the Faroe Islands". Epic xD But also factually wrong. The Faroe Islands were settled by Irish and Norweigans. Go Greenland.
2:10 Faroe Islanders are separate enough. The have a unique language and they started out as Norwegians, not Danes. That division goes over 1000 year back. Without subsidies tge Greenlanders won’t be able to take care of themselves. The only real question they needed to answer is who do the prefer to get their subsidies and benefits from, Denmark or the US.
Why is that a question that needs asking? In depth, why do you think there is a choice to be made? What is it, America can't do today that they could, should Greenland be part of USA? I hope you'll come back with informed answers - I don't expect it, but i hope =D
@ America wants Greenland for national security reasons that have nothing to do with Russia or China. Greenland is currently a territory of Denmark and Denmark is a member of the EU. The EU is a rising power and a future rival to the US. The United States will not tolerate a rival power having strategic territory in the North American hemisphere. If you don’t believe me then go study the Cuban Missile Crisis or how we pushed every European empire out of North America.
We will make the Greenlanders a very generous offer in benefits and subsidies that Denmark simply won’t be able to match.
There is not many Danes in the Faroes, they are Faroese, originally their ancestors were Norwegian. If theu speak Faroese, a Dane who is not trained would understand nothing, but most Norwegians would after 15 minutes
Well Norwegians have an ear for "dialects".
Would definetly give Greenland a bigger problem with crime
💗from Denmark to Greenland
Considering that the Vikings were the first humans who settled Greenland, the Danish who are one of the descendants of the vikings have as much right to indigeneity as that of the Inuits who actually came after the arrival of the vikings.
Well... Inuits have come and gone before the ones who are there now - the Dorset culture who is gone now arrived on Greenland Before Crist, and gone around year 1300, so they where there before the Vikings and while the Vikings where there. The Thule people came in about 1200, 200+ years after the Vikings - but the Vikings where gone in 1408 (either left or died out)... So if you measure by people who are no longer there - the inuits where there before the Vikings and if you measure by people still there, the Vikings where gone at 1408... I get that it can be a dispute - and pros and cons can be a debate - but inuits where there before vikings, and the Thule people where there before us Danes (who arrived in year 1700 something to gain control/monopolize whale oil from the inuits and convert them to Christianity)
As a dane I am deeply ashamed and pained, by what my country has done to the Inuits. And I hope our current government will continue to repay and rebuild what we took from Greenland. And one day, stand as peers and friends rather than subject and master. I love our nordic brothers from the coasts of greenland to the landsof Karelia.
Let the citizens of Greenland vote on joining the US or not.
It's their own country. Let them decide and nobody else.
tell that to mr trump and his mindless followers, danes always say they should decide themself. they can be independenet whenever they want to and whenever they have the capability to.
only trump says he wants to buy the place and the people, very rich and degrading stuff.
btw, the new poll from greenland says only 6% wants to join you/them, nobody wants your healthcare system or to be another indigenous group under america. never ends well.
I agree, Denmark let Greenland free, let them choose.
@catrickthecat Denmark can't even defend itself, they have to rely on other countries. And Denmark oppressed Greenland.
@@alessbritish228 america opressed navajo and is deporting them
@cattrickthecat just don't gaslight others to help Danish colonialists, let Greenland choose.
0:27 I LOVE THIS GUY HE'S HILARIOUS. I want him to be my friend.
Dont separate, together and have autonomy its enough
In the end - that is up to the Greenlandic people - as a Dane I welcome them weather they are from a sovereign state or not.
i recently got into the Danish band Gasolin', and i was curious about their song "kap farvel til umanarssuaq," which seems to be critical of Danish rule in Greenland. do you know anything about this song, or the context it appeared in? was it controversial to discuss this topic in 70s Denmark?
Cool question! I'm not familiar with this particular song by Gasolin, but there was quite a lot of Greenlandic polical activism going on in Denmark in the seventies leading up to the first home rule agreement for Greenland. Try listening to the exellent Greenlandic rockband Sume, they were part of the movement back them and Gasolin would have known them.
@@BarfussR hey thanks for the tip. I will check them out
Just heard it - never heard it before... Thank you =)
Færinger er ikke danskere der bor på Færøerne.
The only answer is: No. 800+ years have solidified us human beings living together, and is now a brotherhood! Danish people have learned greatly from each other. Greenland is a world toddler and needs the care of Big Brother nowadays. Love and peace and be respectful
If you ask anyone that does not Live in Nuuk, like further south by Qaqortoq and the cape, they don't like Danes. I have personally been told to leave a bar with friends and people threw beer after me. But it probably varies from place to place and from person to person. Either way Greenland should chose if they want to stay part of Denmark instead of Denmark or USA making that decision for them
Inuit people have an extraordinary culture and Neither Denmark, nor Canada, nor the USA can prevent them to have self determination nor can Canada prevent Quebec from leaving or talk in the name of the Inuit to keep Nunavik, the Inuit part of Quebec, within Canada.
Nunavimiut, the inhabitants of Nunavik, nowadays can speak French and I wish I could speak Inuktitut in return. They receive services from the Government of Quebec like anyone else but we are never going to prevent their self determination if this is what they desire.
correct and the Danish government is not going to prevent Greenland from getting independent , that is not what this is about, it's about USA wanting to dominate and use the wish Greenland have for independence to spread misinformation about what Greenland want's and their relationship to Denmark witch is way more complicated than outsiders understand and this is not about hating Denmark or cutting ties with Denmark this is about becoming economically independent and be a country in their own right to be respected as equal either as a equal partner inside the Kingdom of Denmark or outside in a new relationship in the future
I suggest Québec independance at least, in order Québec annexe Iceland.😂
This feels like western media only showing what wants to be shown. 😅
Not to me... But I also know that the one asking the questions is half Faroese (a part of Denmark that, like Greenland, is autonomous - Denmark, The Faroese Islands and Greenland are the 3 gathered under the Danish Kingdome)... I might be wrong in thinking he rather hear them out, as he does cater to Danes...
første long form video nogensinde fra ham xD, fed video!
This topic is really relevant, and I appreciate a video about it being made. But but but: It shouldn't be a Dane who makes it.
Would it be better if it was FOX NEWS?
@denmark2680 No, but let a German tell you there are many options inbetween those two.
@@Nils_Ki Well of many of the Danes to chose from, the Dane here is one of the top tier choices - His dad is from the Faroese Islands, which is the 3rd part of the 3 countries that make up the Kingdom of Denmark - but sure - find the video you like =)
Can Sweden buy Bornholm Island? The population there really want to be a part of Sweden it would benefit them economically and at a strategic level too. It would look so much better on the map.
hvordan skulle det kunne det? Svérige stop jeres lort. Skulle Bornholm så få bandekrig ? og hvad i ellers bøvler med i Sverige. Jeres integration er så rådden som den overhovedet kunne blive
They tried. Sweden "won" Bornholm at the Rosklde Peace in 1648.
The Bornholmers were not that keen, made a big fuss and killed the Swedish Commandant.
@ane-louisestampe7939 should be given back to Sweden than makes perfect sense!
LOL Bornholm here LOL.😀😁😂
And Norway should take back Faroe Islands. Denmark can take Malmø from Sweden
Show thet jankis the truth. Not this fake Trump son bullshit
Skøn video. Skønne mennesker! ❤
No one of them said to like the US or to wish to be part of it 😂 bye bye trumpsters
Maybe it's because the documentary was made by a Dane. Trump Jr was there and seemed like everyone wanted to be with the US..
I think that the best solution would be create a Nordic Commonwealth among all the countries which have been ruled by the danish crown under the Kalmarunionen: Denmark, Greenland, Norway, Iceland and ( the last one isn’t really necessary) Sweden.
Good luck with that.
Greenland is not even in Europe LOL
@temle7489 But it's undeniably in the North.
Nordic Union already exists and is doing quite well, Thank You.
Denmark should have sent hundreds of thousands of danish people to live there to secure the land.
Humanity is done with colonialism.
It's too cold there, even for Danes.
"We want to keep leeching off of Denmark as long as we need it and when we don't need it anymore we'll leave"
Sounds extremely entitled, ungrateful, and disloyal.
REALLY great video! 👏🇬🇱😊
Even though it’s just 15 min. you came around a lot of different aspects of Greenlandic life! - And I do feel ashamed that I as a Dane practically didn’t learn anything about Greenland in school. That is very colonial, especially when Greenlanders MUST learn Danish! Danish school system can do better!
All the people were really so polite and friendly! - Which makes me think that they would perhaps hesitate too much to mention negative things about Danes / Denmark if there were things…
if a male tells culture is unique its because of the concept from before vikings called the "darkgame its a seksual free for all than is between all from 10 to 30 because nobody would live longer than 30"
Greenland 🇬🇱
Denmark 🇩🇰
Being Danish I share genes with the majority of Western Greenlanders, and I so much hope that time will pull us all closer together in equal coorperation, because I am very fond of Greenland and the inhabitants I have met..
This is not a democratic vote. The US , a country of 330 million is a little more important than Denmark, a country of 6 million.
@@WiseMan22 - That was a very stupid answer.. The truth is that because Denmark is so small, each inhabitant count so much more!.. importance by mere numbers is fascism!
@ Denmark might be cute, but that's abou it. You need teeth to survive in today's world.
@@WiseMan22 You speak like a true Fascist!
Whe are Nordic People. ❤🕊 Love from Sweden
They sure love Denmarks money. Half of their government revenue comes from Danish aid.
If the West ever allow the investment from China they won't need it, but the West bans it. The sovereignty of Greenland is limited and they need to follow the restrictions imposed by the West, the aid is a substitute for that restriction.
@ investments from China so China can pillage Greenland? One of the reasons why Denmark wants nothing to do with USA or China is because they know they will turn it into a factory and disgrace the environment. Denmark doesn’t make wealth or profit off of Denmark it’s all altruism from Denmark.
@@Jcguy123 China will get legally the right to get resources from the sovereign government of Greenland if it ever gets independence so it won't be a pillage.
@@Funica11 - Greenland will become Tibet #2 if China gets it.
@
Probably it will be like Tibet but China has been investing in Tibet and Uyghur a lot and as a result, Tibet has developed a lot. As far as Greenlanders respect CCP China won’t treat them badly. The worst one would be Canada, Canada will genocide them, and impose sterilization on them as they did to Inuits living on their land, no matter how they respect Canada, France, or Britain, they are just unwanted species for Canadians, French. Denmark would not be any better than Canada, probably that’s why the suicide rate in Greenland is so high now.
Now it would be fair for them to accept the loss of Greenland, since they supported the policy of stronger when it came to the other countries of Europe. Denmark had the power when it was destroying Serbia, now some other country has the power to do the same to Denmark. Every country has its own Kosovo. Any country can do as badly as Serbia, Denmark and Ukraine. I hope the Danes will be smart and calmly accept the loss of their territory. Whoever sows the seed of evil will eventually reap that seed.
Greenland doesn't want to be part of little denmark anymore🤣🤣🤣
Yes but if they left all the citizens would become extremely poor. We help them to become an autonomous country.
I have a lot of family who have lived in Greenland for many years and i really want to see Greenland become a strong and independent country.
idiot check the facts
Yes and no... why thats a laughing matter I don't know - but culturally different people have different humor and this must be part of yours...
Inuit have as much culture and attitude to life as the rest of the world needs right now and in the future. I hope we come to our senses before it all falls apart❤👍🤟
Aging? You mean 5 o'clock shadow Gus lol.
I was able to make out some Danish since i learn Norwegian but than it goes back to non-understandable lol.
Greenlandic is how I feel about trying to learn Finnish at times. But a friend of mine he is Indigenous and speaks some Ojibwe. I learned some in high school. I remember Wabaga giziis "December." But the literally translation I think, is "Freezing moon." And I learn a few other words but many are long and hard to pronounce.
I think it's abuse of young Greenlanders that they have to learn Danish before learning English :D
True! We (Danes) have the worst language xD
finally a true investigation thanks🤜
MANA make america nordic again
Cant be done - opposite cultures... Me me me and We we we...
Vinland!
Hvornår var det her optaget? Det ser ikke så iskoldt ud

10 seconds in and subscribed
You can expect when you do something with the US or China that you are giving in your souvereignity. I am not naive XD
bro suddenly remembered that he is Danish and not Somali 🤣
How come you take all the views and likes from Indian people but never really visited india?
Greenland is Danish. Great video⭐️💕🍀
Is every Dane delusional? What world do you live in?
At 2:12 say What 😠 if anything we are Norwigen. You Sir just insulted the Faroeis people. As much as the Greenlanders have suffered under Denmark so have the Faroes, we arent danish and Never Will be
if you ask the same question in copenhagen, most people will say one of two countries 😂
Greenland is European and will always be with its brothers and sisters in europe like the SAMI in the north. They need independance and to join the EU
Some may have part of European genes, but most of them are Inuits with no European genes but northeastern Asians. I don't think they prefer to join the EU.
Say what you want but before trump was speaking about this nobody included Denmark cared about Greenland 🎉
Why isn't Danish taught in Greenland and Greenlandic in Denmark?
Danish is taught in Greenland (as you could tell by the video). Greenlandic is not taught in Denmark because, harsh as it is; there's no benefit compared to what it would cost.
@@SigartVery good and honest point.
God video… håber den bliver spredt på nettet… smukt og se de Grøndlandske folk og dig snakke sammen
Umm no i know it because im from denmark and i know it Greenland love denmark denmark give Greenland food and moneys so yea
you do not HAVE to love the hand that is feeding you... Seems like the point to your statement is that Greenland loves Denmark because Denmark funds some of their budget, and if it was me, that would not be the case - If I love Denmark, that reason (because it funds my budget), would be one of the last answers I would give you as to why I would love Denmark..
Greenland should stay with us danes :)
So USA wants to purchase Greenland for 1.500 b. dollars? Only one question comes up.... Cash or card?
Well. Something good _has_ come out of this whole thing; the Danish government is finally going to allow Greenlanders to have their Greenlandic nationality in their passports; not just Danish.
