People used to say score comps are boring and unfun back then. It is terrorizing when they just ignore the entire enemy team and go straight up to score as much as they can. It was terrorizing but it sure was so crazy and thrilling to watch!
I always wondered how 5 goal getter score shield would do in uncoordinated play but I actually didn't expect to see it in coordinated play

From this match it can be concluded that playing smart is more important than playing skill.
Japanese allowed the opposing team to choose their best pokemon in the second match. and prefer random pick Pokemon
to prepare very carefully for the third match
Btw the format Tournamen is amazing.

Most interesting match I've seen in a while
Back then score comp was worst, remeber how Score Shield used to stack with other shields?. This one even tho annoying seems more creative than hey I'm gonna pop Unite Move with a Score Shield and Buddy Barrier and there is nothing you can do about it.
Yeah. There was a unique strategy and i realized they pick sylveon for the mobility/survival so they can score and not get ko-ed. They also defended well; im happy to see other mons like mime and sableye for a change too. There were other mons like tyranitar to counter them, so it wasn’t as if there wasnt a strategy against it. But as cris said, the other team didnt know what to do and wasnt prepared
Would anyone recommend me which mon to buy from these two:
Blaziken or Dragapult
Ik both are different but I feel like both are doing rlly good rn. So any help is appreciated. Would also like to know if any of these mons have a chance of getting a nerf next patch
Pult might be getting a nerf and with draft coming next season, attackers are not so safe anymore. Cus once I see enemies with 3 attackers, I'm picking a speedster.
So I'd say go with blaziken. It even has more skill expression than that A pressing Dpult

@@sibyabraham5230 it depends.. When I wanna play a speedster but I don't have a front line like defenders or all rounders, I go leafeon. It's solarblade secure is good and you can initiate fights from safe distance.
If I do have a good frontliner, I go zoroarc or dodrio.
Other speedsters aregod too but these 2 are my comfort picks
Draft will definitely make other speedsters more viable

This is game 3, both teams can't play their previous mons played on the current set(new unite rules) also, probably to deny secure on objectives.

Score shield is the most broken item in the game, it should have 30 secs cooldown atleast. I recently had a match against a shell smash crustle who was running aeos cookie, and score shield, it was impossible to stop him from scoring, he scored 400 or more points in a single game, we lost the game close even after getting ray because that shitty guy kept scoring, and we cannot do anything about it.

i had never seen two pokemon going in jungle together and seeing unite holic's team i thought "damn no defender and two speedsters? no way they can play it out well" turns out i'm a unite noob
2 pokemon go jungle, usually Jungler and a support with Exp Share. This helps a lot of ways. It helps against invade, helps with a faster clear for weaker junglers like Kubfu or Ralts, and sometimes when support is Hoopa/Eldegoss they grab red buff which helps their top lane partner
Watch their game 2, it's even more insane. Also, mame picked the queen once more.
You are always a unite noob.
If you follow professional games, they do it quite often to defend against invades. But you don't see it in ranked unless you have comms with someone.

So when I do it on SoloQ, everyone calls me crazy, but when Japan does it, it's cool. :-D (ofc I realize this strategy only works if you work as a team and is doomed in SoloQ) ;-)

Pro players loathe this strategy cause they can't show off how good they are at the game when people are just farming for coins the entire time. Personally, i like it cause it gives the other team a chance if they lose the last objective.

I feel like the reason japan went for a score comp was simply because no one currently knows how to deal with it. What do you do when you have to fight against a comp you’ve never seen before?

Yeah, it was impressive to bring it up. I didnt feel that bad seeing the enemy team helplessly not have points even if they have rayquaza bc ray shields have been terrorizing every game lol. That and, it really was about knowing how to deal with the comp and they just didnt know how except to try and get ray

Hate these comps getting screen time only for that fact that the average player uses it to excuse their horrid inting score plays and Rayquaza back caps.
Everytime I queue in ranked game and the timer goes above 1min, I’ll be queued to Japan server, they don’t have strategy and their play style is hard to understand. Now they are bringing back the score comp when the score shield + buddy barrier are viable but it is definitely cringe to watch. No strategy, no fighting, just scoring
the strategy is scoring, the strategy is stealing all farm before the enemy gets it, the strategy is not fighting, just because you dont understand doesnt mean there's no work behind it, that's the reason they are pros and you are just a random guy in a yt video xD

Nah score comp is cringe af, I don’t get how people think a play style that’s built on NOT interacting with the other team is entertaining or good for the competitive scene. But more power to Unite Holoc for getting the dub though
having different comp is fun. Sick of squirtle vs buzzswole lol. And ray being a deciding factor. The other team should have picked anti-scoring mons like tyrannitar. But i think they underestimated the scoring comp. Typically, you can fall behind easily with score comp. It’s not easy to pull in coordinated play. You can’t be passive and just die. You also still have to defend to prevent the other team from snowballing. Unite holic had complete control of the map; it wasnt any lack of interaction
Technically urshi is a score comp counter his boosted autos have true damage they just didn't know how to play against it
