Glad you did take to the excursions- isla mujeres, since the beach at the resort is not ideal! Indeed is a bit pricy, yet, I enjoy the service they provide, members get great perks, I feel safe when I am at moon palace, you should go to the Sun palace also a resort under Palace elite w your friend's membership you just pay $10 for the bus ride to and back and Sun palace is a relax choice for the day. The beach is beautiful.

The beach is like that because you guys went during hurricane season. I'm sure you already know that but most people don't. You got to go during February to April, which those months are the best for weather and no seaweed or minimal seaweed. April is the best month to go. Although April is a peak time to go, it's still the best time. And traveling to Cancun all inclusive is the only way you should do it. It is so worth it and it is more bang for your buck. I can't wait to go back. We're going in April 2022 for my girlfriend's birthday. It's going to be so much fun.
Actually we were even told by the resort staff that the beach has been bad at this property for years. Doesn’t really matter when you go. We typically always travel in September and never have problems with beaches, but this resort is well known for not having a nice one.

Yes 🙌🏻 We try to keep things as normal as possible where we live! Since Mexico doesn’t have a lot of crazy restrictions like some other countries we love coming here!
@Beth - I agree with you. We were in Cancun in March 2020 when the level 4 travel advisory went into effect. I’d love to be traveling again like Heather and Ty, but my job, specifically my clients in the food industry, require onsite consultants like me to meet their requirements, which are more strict then CDC recommendations for now. Until things get more normal, I’m glad to see videos like this one. This video is way better then the professional / promotional videos. These videos show the real experience. Have y’all stayed at the royalton riviera resort? We loved it! You can book suites with little private pools outside the rooms. Tons of stuff for kids and adults!

Loved the moon palace it is 5 stars very expensive though coming from the uk but agreed the beach is not good. Food service pools rooms gorgeous would love to go back!

You can access any of the restaurants at Sunrise or Nizuc, if you go over to the grand you’ll need a day pass.

Yall look like too much fun. We're trying to narrow down our resort choice for our next Mexico trip. Your vlogs are super helpful Between the Barcelo and Moon which one would you pick?
That’s so hard because both are great. I think it all comes down to what is more important to you! If a beach is a much then go to Barcelo. They both have gigantic pools and great nightlife….also it could come down to price. Barcelo is a lot more affordable it seems like but one nice thing about Moon was how close it was to the airport! Hard choice but either one you choose you will have a great time!!!
I have stayed at El Dorado Casitas, Sandos Eco Caracol, and the Grand at Moon Palace. I liked the Grand the best. The Grand had double whirlpool tub in the room and it looked like its twice the size of the Nizic room. My kids loved the tub at the Grand! For me, The Grand had excellent pool & beach side service, excellent food, and heated pools! I'm from the upper midwest and love heated pools. Pool & beach service, food and heated pools are the top things most important for me. Both El dorado and Sandos' pool/beach service were terrible. From what I have seen, a good resort all depends on what you find important to you.
Yes for sure! Everything at Moon Palace was great except the beach for us. El Dorado is a beautiful resort too, and when we went to Sandos Eco Caracol 3 years ago we didn’t have the best experience there either. We are not super picky about how the rooms are since we never stay in them…moon palace was a fun time but I love trying new resorts especially so I can continue making these vlogs! ☺️

Top notch service there…particularly if you are tipping. I’ve made friends with bartenders who’ve I’ve kept in touch with over the years. Great resort…been 10 times I’d guess

You only have access to the Grand if your staying there. Nizuc and Sunrise only have access to each other. Otherwise you will need to buy a day pass like we did to go to the Grand.
I’ve been to the Moon Palace twice, stayed at the Grand both times….much quieter and chilled out…plus in the rooms, the toilet and sink are not in separate areas like nizuc.
@@justinsookdeo4260 on the Grand area it is very quiet but not oriented to kids activities, on the Nizuc area it’s very busy, but there are more activities suited for kids.
So I have to ask. We have been to Barcelo twice with the kids. We are returning this summer for 10 days. We have also included a week after Barcelo palace to stay at moon palace grand. Which did you prefer? I really think the kids and wife will love moon palace more but it is significantly higher than Barcelo. Which would return to with your kids of the 2?

Yes ma’am she sent us a link and we filled it out! The memberships are stating to change, we just traveled there again last month and they are not letting people use resort credits from members anymore for some reason now. Been watching all of your Mexico vlogs and they all look great. Me and my family are looking to go to Mexico next year, out of the 3 hotels in your vlogs (moon palace, barcelo riviera maya and iberostar pariso maya) which one would you recommend the most as we are going with our son and daughter who are 19 and 17 year old. We really enjoyed all 3 but I would say Barcelo & Moon Palace have so many extra amenities then Iberostar. You guys will never get bored and something to do all hours of the day/night! Now it just comes down to what is more important to you a beach=Barcelo? Being closer to the airport=Moon Palace? Food was slightly better at Moon Palace I thought too!

The grand is the only way to go, in my opinion. The rooms and bathrooms are twice as big as the ones at Nizuc and Sunrise, even the standard rooms are huge. Yes, it is a huge resort but walking is not a worry because there are golf carts everywhere to take you anywhere you need to go on the resort property. The Grand is amazing. You’re right, as far as the beach though. It’s not great. The seaweed was not bad when we went in May 2021 but it can be, depending when you go. But there are so many places to go, off resort to get great beaches. Their sister resort, Beach Palace is great to visit as well as going to Isla Mujeres.
We went to the Grand 2x during our stay and showed that in this video. It was nice but we preferred the vibes at Sunrise better. The Grand was too quiet for us lol We also traveled to Isla and I made a video on that as well ☺️
My family and I stayed at the grand moon palace and the place is big and the food was great. But at the time of checking in theY weRE trying to send us to NISIUK EVEN tho we reserved for the grand. They wanted to charge us 3 more thousand and I refused until they finally checked us in at the grand cause that’s where the kids park is located

I think it depends on what’s more important! Barcelo has a great beach where Moon Palace doesn’t! Moon palace has awesome food and we loved the nightlife there! Both are great properties ☺️
Definitely Xcaret! It’s our all time favorite resort ❤️ Moon Palace is definitely more affordable for our family of 5 but hopefully one day we can take our kiddos to Xcaret!

It’s definitely a bigger resort that requires some walking! Nizuc section is a little smaller then Sunrise. Check out my Planet Hollywood video. They have a better splash area for little ones which fun characters that walk around and interact with the kids! Smaller property too.
Have you stayed at the Hard Rock Riveria Maya or any of the Dreams resorts in Riveria Maya? You can book the Hard Rock through a member too. It'll save you money if you wanted to try any of the Hard Rocks in Mexico.

You will call the resort directly and pay. Once your ready to do that she will help you finish the booking and send you all the info! You do not technically pay her, only using her member stuff. And yes we booked our flights separately on Expedia:) Just watched the flights for a few weeks and when the rates dropped we booked!

I think it all depends on how much you like being at the beach! Planet Hollywood has a gorgeous beach while MP does not. Both are great resorts!!!

Which did you prefer? I really think the kids and wife will love moon palace more but it is significantly higher than Barcelo. Which would return to with your kids of the 2?

I was wondering how did you do the booking? Did you let the lady do the booking for? Did you give her your credit card and she booked? Did you pay her anything?I am kind of worried that I would get scammed.
Yes ma’am she sent us a link and we filled it out! The memberships are stating to change, we just traveled there again last month and they are not letting people use resort credits from members anymore for some reason now. If you need help with looking at rates give me a holler! My husband and I recently got our travel agent certifications because I get so many questions and requests from people on how to book! We do not price gouge clients and get the lowest price possible for you :) I am fixing to share a whole video about it but if you want to just shoot us an email we can send you some prices!

Thank you for this review! I visited Isla Mujeres and resort hopped to Beach Palace. Do they still allow you to do that? Was considering still booking this resort for the amenities and going to another resort to lay out on the beach.
The Palace on Isla closed but still able to jump to the sister resort in Cancun.

We loved going that time of the year! the rain chances are not as high and the seaweed isn’t as bad either typically! Let us know if you need help booking a trip! My husband is now a travel agent to help accommodate all my viewers if they need it! We don’t price gouge our clients and of course highly research everywhere we recommend :)

Been watching all of your Mexico vlogs and they all look great. Me and my family are looking to go to Mexico next year, out of the 3 hotels in your vlogs (moon palace, barcelo riviera maya and iberostar pariso maya) which one would you recommend the most as we are going with our son and daughter who are 19 and 17 year old. Thanks really appreciate any advice
We really enjoyed all 3 but I would say Barcelo & Moon Palace have so many extra amenities then Iberostar. You guys will never get bored and something to do all hours of the day/night! Now it just comes down to what is more important to you a beach=Barcelo? Being closer to the airport=Moon Palace? Food was slightly better at Moon Palace I thought too!

Resort looks great! But the color of the water there is a deal breaker for me. Wouldn't be too excited about swimming in the ocean.
Yeah we deff did not get in it lol but it didn’t really bother us too much. The pools were so much fun!
You can also go visit their sister property at no extra cost in Cancun and the water is way better there

And just a tip at the beach Palace after your done at the beach there is a pool on the roof top with a bar and has a nice view
The grand is the only way to go, in my opinion. The rooms and bathrooms are twice as big as the ones at Nizuc and Sunrise, even the standard rooms are huge. Yes, it is a huge resort but walking is not a worry because there are golf carts everywhere to take you anywhere you need to go on the resort property. The Grand is amazing. You’re right, as far as the beach though. It’s not great. The seaweed was not bad when we went in May 2021 but it can be, depending when you go. But there are so many places to go, off resort to get great beaches. Their sister resort, Beach Palace is great to visit as well as going to Isla Mujeres.
We went to the Grand 2x during our stay and showed that in this video. It was nice but we preferred the vibes at Sunrise better. The Grand was too quiet for us lol We also traveled to Isla and I made a video on that as well ☺️
All the walking helps keep you from gaining 20 lbs that week

My family and I stayed at the grand moon palace and the place is big and the food was great. But at the time of checking in theY weRE trying to send us to NISIUK EVEN tho we reserved for the grand. They wanted to charge us 3 more thousand and I refused until they finally checked us in at the grand cause that’s where the kids park is located
They only send you to nizuc if you had booked it, and you can always go to the water park anyways.
is this an all inclusive resort?
Yes! I only travel to All-Inclusive’s! You get so much bang for your buck!

Such pain in the brain thinking what is the perfect place/hotel to stay. I think it depends on what’s more important! Barcelo has a great beach where Moon Palace doesn’t! Moon palace has awesome food and we loved the nightlife there! Both are great properties ☺️

if staying at Barcelo Palace you can use all other 4 sections. if staying at any other 4 you can go to any section but Palace. there’s also AO
What is your favourite between moon Palace and Xcaret? We can’t decide. We like activities.
Definitely Xcaret! It’s our all time favorite resort ❤️ Moon Palace is definitely more affordable for our family of 5 but hopefully one day we can take our kiddos to Xcaret!

Yes they are, theres one night club in Sunrise and another one at Grand section.
Can you mention your favourite resort? I have a toddler and we love to eat so one with really good food options. I was just thinking of booking this place. My first trip to Mexico wasn’t very good :(

It’s definitely a bigger resort that requires some walking! Nizuc section is a little smaller then Sunrise. Check out my Planet Hollywood video. They have a better splash area for little ones which fun characters that walk around and interact with the kids! Smaller property too.

Have you stayed at the Hard Rock Riveria Maya or any of the Dreams resorts in Riveria Maya? You can book the Hard Rock through a member too. It'll save you money if you wanted to try any of the Hard Rocks in Mexico.

You will call the resort directly and pay. Once your ready to do that she will help you finish the booking and send you all the info! You do not technically pay her,
only using her member stuff. And yes we booked our flights separately on Expedia:) Just watched the flights for a few weeks and when the rates dropped we booked!
