Yes 🙌🏻 We try to keep things as normal as possible where we live! Since Mexico doesn’t have a lot of crazy restrictions like some other countries we love coming here!
@Beth - I agree with you. We were in Cancun in March 2020 when the level 4 travel advisory went into effect. I’d love to be traveling again like Heather and Ty, but my job, specifically my clients in the food industry, require onsite consultants like me to meet their requirements, which are more strict then CDC recommendations for now. Until things get more normal, I’m glad to see videos like this one. This video is way better then the professional / promotional videos. These videos show the real experience. Glad you did take to the excursions- isla mujeres, since the beach at the resort is not ideal! Indeed is a bit pricy, yet, I enjoy the service they provide, members get great perks, I feel safe when I am at moon palace, you should go to the Sun palace also a resort under Palace elite w your friend's membership you just pay $10 for the bus ride to and back and Sun palace is a relax choice for the day. The beach is beautiful.

Have you stayed at the Hard Rock Riveria Maya or any of the Dreams resorts in Riveria Maya? You can book the Hard Rock through a member too. It'll save you money if you wanted to try any of the Hard Rocks in Mexico.

You only have access to the Grand if your staying there. Nizuc and Sunrise only have access to each other. Otherwise you will need to buy a day pass like we did to go to the Grand.

Fantastic review, we just came back from a week in Vegas and Mexico is next on our list for May next year and this is the hotel I was looking at. Shame about the beach though.
The beach is like that because you guys went during hurricane season. I'm sure you already know that but most people don't. You got to go during February to April, which those months are the best for weather and no seaweed or minimal seaweed. April is the best month to go. Although April is a peak time to go, it's still the best time. And traveling to Cancun all inclusive is the only way you should do it. It is so worth it and it is more bang for your buck. I can't wait to go back. We're going in April 2022 for my girlfriend's birthday. It's going to be so much fun.
Actually we were even told by the resort staff that the beach has been bad at this property for years. Doesn’t really matter when you go. We typically always travel in September and never have problems with beaches, but this resort is well known for not having a nice one.
So I have to ask. We have been to Barcelo twice with the kids. We are returning this summer for 10 days. We have also included a week after Barcelo palace to stay at moon palace grand. Which did you prefer? I really think the kids and wife will love moon palace more but it is significantly higher than Barcelo. Which would return to with your kids of the 2?
Thank you for this review! I visited Isla Mujeres and resort hopped to Beach Palace. Do they still allow you to do that? Was considering still booking this resort for the amenities and going to another resort to lay out on the beach.

It’s definitely a bigger resort that requires some walking! Nizuc section is a little smaller then Sunrise. Check out my Planet Hollywood video. They have a better splash area for little ones which fun characters that walk around and interact with the kids! Smaller property too.

The memberships are stating to change, we just traveled there again last month and they are not letting people use resort credits from members anymore for some reason now. We prefer the sunrise property like I said in my video. If you upgrade to the grand you’ll get to have access to their restaurants and their pools and amenities but we weren’t super crazy and that impressed to where we felt like we missed out by not upgrading. I liked paying just $100 for me and my husband to go over there one day and check it out…we got access to their nightclub and restaurants but again we actually preferred staying at the sunrise property and it’s much cheaper.
Like I mentioned in the video this resort is definitely not for beach lovers! It has wonderful pools and amenities but the beach is awful here! I have stayed at El Dorado Casitas, Sandos Eco Caracol, and the Grand at Moon Palace. I liked the Grand the best. The Grand had double whirlpool tub in the room and it looked like its twice the size of the Nizic room. My kids loved the tub at the Grand! For me, The Grand had excellent pool & beach side service, excellent food, and heated pools! I'm from the upper midwest and love heated pools. Pool & beach service, food and heated pools are the top things most important for me. Both El dorado and Sandos' pool/beach service were terrible. From what I have seen, a good resort all depends on what you find important to you.
Yes for sure! Everything at Moon Palace was great except the beach for us. El Dorado is a beautiful resort too, and when we went to Sandos Eco Caracol 3 years ago we didn’t have the best experience there either. We are not super picky about how the rooms are since we never stay in them…moon palace was a fun time but I love trying new resorts especially so I can continue making these vlogs! ☺️
@@amberphan3639 its a close one but I would have to pick Barcelo just because we loved the beach over there. I guess it depends on what is more important to you. Both are great and very similar with the size of the pools and nightlife. Barcelo also has a casino which I know my husband enjoyed lol But when it comes right down to it we would probably pick Barcelo to return to...plus price is way better!
Have y’all stayed at the royalton riviera resort? We loved it! You can book suites with little private pools outside the rooms. Tons of stuff for kids and adults!
Definitely Xcaret! It’s our all time favorite resort ❤️ Moon Palace is definitely more affordable for our family of 5 but hopefully one day we can take our kiddos to Xcaret!

Yall look like too much fun. We're trying to narrow down our resort choice for our next Mexico trip. Your vlogs are super helpful Between the Barcelo and Moon which one would you pick?
That’s so hard because both are great. I think it all comes down to what is more important to you! If a beach is a much then go to Barcelo. They both have gigantic pools and great nightlife….also it could come down to price. Barcelo is a lot more affordable it seems like but one nice thing about Moon was how close it was to the airport! Hard choice but either one you choose you will have a great time!!!
Loved the moon palace it is 5 stars very expensive though coming from the uk but agreed the beach is not good. Food service pools rooms gorgeous would love to go back!

I think it depends on what’s more important! Barcelo has a great beach where Moon Palace doesn’t! Moon palace has awesome food and we loved the nightlife there! Both are great properties ☺️
I would love to take my kids to Moon Palace! They have so much for them to do there! Only con is the price, it’s a tad steep compared to Iberostar and Barcelo
Been watching all of your Mexico vlogs and they all look great. Me and my family are looking to go to Mexico next year, out of the 3 hotels in your vlogs (moon palace, barcelo riviera maya and iberostar pariso maya) which one would you recommend the most as we are going with our son and daughter who are 19 and 17 year old. We really enjoyed all 3 but I would say Barcelo & Moon Palace have so many extra amenities then Iberostar. You guys will never get bored and something to do all hours of the day/night! Now it just comes down to what is more important to you a beach=Barcelo? Being closer to the airport=Moon Palace? Food was slightly better at Moon Palace I thought too!

I think it all depends on how much you like being at the beach! Planet Hollywood has a gorgeous beach while MP does not. Both are great resorts!!!

You can access any of the restaurants at Sunrise or Nizuc, if you go over to the grand you’ll need a day pass.

The Grand had double whirlpool tub in the room and it looked like its twice the size of the Nizic room. My kids loved the tub at the Grand! For me, The Grand had excellent pool & beach side service, excellent food, and heated pools! I'm from the upper midwest and love heated pools. Pool & beach service, food and heated pools are the top things most important for me. Both El dorado and Sandos' pool/beach service were terrible. From what I have seen, a good resort all depends on what you find important to you.
Yes for sure! Everything at Moon Palace was great except the beach for us. El Dorado is a beautiful resort too, and when we went to Sandos Eco Caracol 3 years ago we didn’t have the best experience there either. We are not super picky about how the rooms are since we never stay in them…moon palace was a fun time but I love trying new resorts especially so I can continue making these vlogs! ☺️
Did you like Moon or Barcelo more?
@@amberphan3639 its a close one but I would have to pick Barcelo just because we loved the beach over there. I guess it depends on what is more important to you. Both are great and very similar with the size of the pools and nightlife. Barcelo also has a casino which I know my husband enjoyed lol But when it comes right down to it we would probably pick Barcelo to return to...plus price is way better!
Have y’all stayed at the royalton riviera resort? We loved it! You can book suites with little private pools outside the rooms. Tons of stuff for kids and adults!

Definitely Xcaret! It’s our all time favorite resort ❤️ Moon Palace is definitely more affordable for our family of 5 but hopefully one day we can take our kiddos to Xcaret!

Between the Barcelo and Moon which one would you pick?
That’s so hard because both are great. I think it all comes down to what is more important to you! If a beach is a much then go to Barcelo. They both have gigantic pools and great nightlife….also it could come down to price. Barcelo is a lot more affordable it seems like but one nice thing about Moon was how close it was to the airport! Hard choice but either one you choose you will have a great time!!!
So if you stay and sunrize or nizuc, are you allowed to go to grand pool/restaurants?
You need to buy a day pass to them grand to access any amenities!

Loved the moon palace it is 5 stars very expensive though coming from the uk but agreed the beach is not good. Food service pools rooms gorgeous would love to go back!

Yes! I only travel to All-Inclusive’s! You get so much bang for your buck!
Are the hookahs only available to members?
No they are available to all guests at an additional cost.

Is the arcade and flowrider free and already included on the all inclusive?
Yes!
Yes! When we went to the Barcelo in June they charged for their arcade and FlowRider so it’s awesome it’s free here!

I think it depends on what’s more important! Barcelo has a great beach where Moon Palace doesn’t! Moon palace has awesome food and we loved the nightlife there! Both are great properties ☺️

Yes they are, theres one night club in Sunrise and another one at Grand section.
All my clothes and shoes come from Shein and I'm in OZ. Great plus sizes too choose from as well. 😍

Been watching all of your Mexico vlogs and they all look great. Me and my family are looking to go to Mexico next year, out of the 3 hotels in your vlogs (moon palace, barcelo riviera maya and iberostar pariso maya) which one would you recommend the most as we are going with our son and daughter who are 19 and 17 year old. We really enjoyed all 3 but I would say Barcelo & Moon Palace have so many extra amenities then Iberostar. You guys will never get bored and something to do all hours of the day/night! Now it just comes down to what is more important to you a beach=Barcelo? Being closer to the airport=Moon Palace? Food was slightly better at Moon Palace I thought too!

We loved going that time of the year! the rain chances are not as high and the seaweed isn’t as bad either typically! Let us know if you need help booking a trip! My husband is now a travel agent to help accommodate all my viewers if they need it! We don’t price gouge our clients and of course highly research everywhere we recommend :)
