When he worked at Disney and Universal almost everything he sang was tenor. He worked hard to develop the bass (some with Tim Foust from HF). He says Tim is the master of the growl but his specialty is subharmonics which he does so smoothly. He has a couple of videos on How to Sing Really Low if you want to watch those. He also has an interview with The Charismatic Voice (Elizabeth Zarkoff) where she picks his brain and how he does things. His range this year so far - is B0 next to the last white key on the piano and his top end is A5 which is 5 octaves. The lady here is his wife Kathy. She used to work at Disney and Universal too. They did a video earlier this year where they talk about Kathy losing her hearing. She is the production manager for the videos and does camera work and all the etc's. Geoff also has done videos of Poe's poetry and short stories - for Halloween you can't miss!

Geoff and Tim Foust have very similar ranges, both are amazing vocalists. Geoff and VoicePlay have a lot of creativity in so many of their videos. One of VoicePlay’s best is “Warriors”… their beatboxer Layne is a lot like Kevin from PTX, very multi-talented and shows one of his many talents in that video (he also is the one who arranges their music).

What an awesome reaction! Peter Hollens and Tim Foust got together and did Misty Mountains from the Hobbit. Tim's range is awesome and Peter Hollens is much like Geoff except he sings and harmonizes at higher ranges. I dont think the sound was Travis' chair. I went back and watched again and all I kept hearing were what I think are supposed to be chains clanking in Geoff's video. Only Travis can confirm but I think most reactors mute their mic when recording the video they are reacting to and then unmute when they pause the video to talk. This prevents any background noise from interfering.
I honestly think that Tim and Geoff's range is so close that it would come down to what kind of day they're having. And they each have their own sound/ texture.
