1:38 What was chat's deal with the gravestone?? Gravestones can be transported. Dude was japanese, and wanted his son in Japan to find what he hid in that time capsule. A simple "Hey guys, if I die and you're finally able to move to Japan, put my gravestone there" would be enough to explain that "plothole". It's not like the gravestone is magically bound to that one place. Or maybe they even made a second grave at his original dying-location. I don't get the issue xD
Not even that. It's specifically called out when Ruri shows him the stone. She straight up yells Senku the very first tale was designed to encourage the descendants to got to Japan and being the stone.
@@CrownofMischiefit is not a hole. They had a constant stream of expeditions trying to find their way to Japan. Once they confirmed they found japan, there was a large migration of the main colony from the landing island to japan, transplanting the record gravestone with them. They didn't take everybody off the landing island, they left people behind to be caretakers of the capsule, and the hub for any returning explorers.
Jesus... Astronauts landed on island They put the recording inside a stone He told them "go to japan" He died, and was buried in the island At some point, his descendants went to japan, and brought the stone with the record with them It's not that hard
Fun thing is that Byakuya had more sons/daughters after the petrification, ones that were blood-related to him unlike Senku. Yet he didn't give a fuck about them, only thought about Senku all the time.
Actually, most of the satellites we've sent up have decaying orbits. After 3,000 years, it is questionable of whether or not they would still be up there. Also, due to their size, it's possible they wouldn't even be recognizable as they crash to earth.
@16:02 Byakuya (Senku's dad) sounds different because he sounds different. He was formerly voiced by Fujiwara Keiji who sadly died in 2020 😢Mikami Satoshi replaced him as the new voice of Byakuya
The Byakuya is not Senku's biological father thing was apparently added to not spark any incest stuff with Senku and the potential girls around him from the village, ignoring the massive amounts of incest that must have happened in the village.

I think the "plothole" comes from Senku saying there were probably multiple attempts, but if the gravestone is there that means they did it in one go

@@johannesbowers7467 how do they confirm it?
@@CrownofMischief probably by viewing a standard landmark.... like Mt. FUJI.

He did his best until the end, knowing that Senku will take over after he is gone.

For many reasons, including this one, I choose to think there were like 20 astronauts and Byakuya wasn't one of the ones who had kids.
They already explain it in S1, that again a side effect of watching an anime for weeks instead of make a whole week for one anime until you finish it

oh you noticed the chat. 🙈
" The voice actor died"

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Byakuya is father of the century.
