I personally have never been a big fan of head on a beer 🍺 it belongs somewhere else🤣. My view is that it interferes with the amount of liquidity goodness that you can get into your glass especially if when you pay for a schooner at a pub an you get anywhere upto half an inch or more of head also could be me being a tightarse an trying to get the most out of money!

    Hey Little John !
Your videos have helped my brewing to no end , so a big thank you 👍🏻. I have a question I was hoping you could answer for me. I am still kit brewing and did a bitter recently. Fermented for 2 weeks , bottle conditioned for 2 weeks and in the fridge for 2 weeks. However, I did open one 2 days after being in fridge . Head retention was ok not the best but ok. Beer tasted great. Opened 2 after 2 weeks and both have absolutely no head retention . Is this down to it being in the fridge for extended period of time ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated mate.
    Thanks

being in the fridge should not effect head retention, not in any significant way. There is an argument that cold temp may impede head production due to the co2 being held in the beer initially, but it should release as it warms. More likely just ingredient/process related. I would suggest a longer bottle condition on a kit brew, that will help the head and the overall flavour/finish.

Thanks for your reply John , really appreciate it. I will leave them to condition longer and possible not drink them as cold . Think my fridge is set to 4 degrees Celsius and the beer is a Yorkshire bitter which should be drank a bit warmer . 👍🏻

Don't use it, it doesn't work. I fell for that crap when I first started brewing, it did nothing. The whole point of this video is addressing the things you need to do to get good head. No amount of drops will make up for poor process.
