Flounder gigging with Led underwater gigging lights. Compares underwater flounder gig lights with flounder lights held out of the water. We have found the flounder are much more approachable if the light is held submerged. The beam lights up the area and gives better viewing range as the light reflects back down into the water after hitting the surface. A light shone from above the water loses a lot of intensity through reflection off the surface and back into the air.

Our flounder are a lot smaller that the American species. The sand flounder have a size limit of 23cm and all other flounder species have a size limit of 25cm or 10 inches. Bag limits are 20 per person per day

I love love me some flounder. My grandfather used to take me fishing like this as a child, about 8 years old. My dad would never trust me with a spear but when I was with gramps he would give me my own and let me have at it. Thanks for sharing
