Let me know if you have an Xperia, what your favourite feature is 🙌🏼And if you (like me) have been hesitant about getting the Xperia 1 V, what is the main reason you haven't decided on getting one yet. NOT yet...it's like $2000 and NO CHARGER,like the IPhones/NOTES...I might buy my grandchildren an IPhone,so they can see the people they know while talking to them, and text all day..I have actual stuff to do than to babysit my phone, and I have actual cameras, which do more professional work..I have 2 SONY cameras that do 4k for less than ONE XPeria/IPhone...
I bought this phone because of the expandable storage, headphone jack and the excellent sound quality. Everyone is buying phones for the camera quality. I remember a few years ago people used to buy phones because they listened to music on their phones. This is still a priority for me, and the Xperia 1 V is the only phone that still caters to people looking for excellent sound on their phone.
@@nadim9278 I use 2 music apps on my Xperia 1 V. Either "Poweramp" the paid version or "USB Audio Player" the paid version again. USB Audio Player has greater control if you're using an external DAC. Hope this is helpful.
I've been an iphone person since 3GS and never tried a 1V but fell in love with Sony Xperia phones several years ago. I tried 5 III and 5V models and they check almost all the boxes to consider them perfect phones. Almost stock Android (easy "debloatable"), 5G, 3.5mm jack, expandable memory, manual photo mode and shutter button, screen, and huge battery. I don't care about face id, the "ecosystem" and other gimmicks. On the other side they are a little bit pricy, slow rollout of updates and some of the models have serious overheating issues. Great video, as always. 😆
Agree with you, very easy to just not use the Sony apps at install and just soooo many cool features that we forgot used to be in smartphones. Thanks so much for watching 🙌🏼
I am not a photographer but t I bought the first Xperia 1 in 2019 and still running sometime you don't text well on a narrow phone what I care more is the sound and watching movies , I think they will change the ratio because of the bars when you watch you tube not enough content in21 /9
As a rule, Sony make the 1 and 5 series phones for pro and amateur photographers and videographers. It is NOT made for your average iPhone user. And that's just 100% fine. Thanks so much for your comment! And you are legend for watching that far too!! Couldn't agree more, I found myself lost in settings sometimes and I play with Sony cameras daily 😅
But at last ,you need more time until you can shoot. I am a "Sony boy" possessing and liking a Xperia 1 III . But for a quick shot my Galaxy S24 Ultra is more useful.
Definitely, millions of folks who aren't buying sony smartphones are isheep, maybe the whole world is filled with idiots and you are the only genius left :)
@TrevorMauk It does have an auto mode but it's more like a pocket camera computer logic, not computational photography. In most cases it will do a good job but in extreme lighting situations it will fall eg night shots or a light+dark scene etc
I love the interfaces and differences between the different camera apps. 21:9 and 16:9 with external mic support, audio listening while recording, manual focus pull on presets etc. Legend!
When you feel actual enthusiasm and nostalgia in a review, you know that Sony nailed it despite its imperfections. I'm on my way to replace my Sony Xperia 1IV which has been a bliss... with imperfections too, but it's part of the charm. Sad thing is, I might not be getting a Sony as replacement this time. But I definitely enjoyed using my Xperia as a discrete nomade camera. Stabilization, colors, super fast focus and eye tracking, with the shutter button and slim format it is killing it. And what's nice, discretion. You can actually shoot subjects and they are natural because they don't feel invaded by a big lens. Well! I'm nostalgic already.
This phone is fantastic. I've had it for little over a year now and I really like how it's different yet still great. Taking pictures with the 1V is something else and you can basically do that all day without draining the battery.
I’ve been debating moving away from iOS, but somehow I don’t want to go for the obvious options (s24 ultra/pixel) and this video made me want a Sony ahaha
Honestly, this has been a breath of fresh air. I think if the price was more competitive (and they had a wider presence globally) they would really give Samsung, Apple and Google a run for their money. Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏼
I've got both the 15 pro and the 1 v. I've had the 1iv and the 5iv too. Unfortunately i've put 1v on ebay. I love the physical device, it's a great design but it lacks the quality of life things. The GPS has been inaccurate on every xperia device i've owned. It lacks the apps that you come accustom too on ios, you think you'll find a replacement but you'll never be happy as they're never quite as good. Even the Torch, I didn't realise how much I used it until I didn't have one. I want to come out of the iphone as i'm getting tired of their pushy propriety shenanigans but it's hard.
👍 Superb shots and videos, it's an awesome phone and a "Lengend" of a review. I really enjoyed this. Just a few points, the sim tray requires no sim tool. The Sony case is excellent and designed ergonomically for picture/video shooting and comes built in with a stand. 😀
i got the xperia 5ii and i am 100% sold on sony xperia flagships. and now i got 3 green stripes in my screen so i slowly watching and saving for another sony xperia 5 or 1 series. 3 major things i would like to see improved though (as a general user): 1. Seemless zoom also to the selfie camera pls sony. So you can make videos and switch to selfie while recording a video (super handy for social media). 2. When having a burst mode on in the basic mode that you can still just make a single shot with the physical shutter button. Pls sony just make a half second delay before it jumps to burst mode (in this way you can easely use both modes with the physical shutter button, super handy) 3. an exception button in the battery save mode for gps/navigation/google maps so you can have best battery life when needed while you still have to use gps for example when on holiday raoming cities. If they improve this im 100% it will attract more to the masses, for the rest the phones are amazing and use a bit cumbersome in the camera department but with basic mode its still easely doable for the everage consumer. For the pro consumer sony already has the best of the best so pls sony focus a bit more on the everage consumer too and not nessacarely with more hdr and ai and computational photography cause your photography is amazing natural (we do love that)
I have the Xperia 1 V and I think it's a great phone. It's the last phone to give expandable memory and a headphone jack. This is great for content creators or avid music listeners. I keep a ton of music with me at all times and having expandable memory was awesome. No need to stream or not have what I was looking for able to play due to no internet available. As for the photo experience, I like it and it has encouraged me to learn more about how to take more professional style pics. Unfortunately, I'm still not that great at it yet. But the auto feature or basic modes do allow for some good pics to be taken. I'm looking forward to the Xperia 1 VI, but I wish they had a trade-in program.
É uma marca que sinto falta no Brasil, sempre achei eles lindos, pena que esquentavam tanto e as baterias eram horríveis. Mas tê-lo nas mãos era uma experiência incrível. Eles tinham um algo a mais.
My 6-years-old Xperia XZ2 is getting old and glitchy sometimes, I'm contemplating to buy the 1 V. Although I wish the screen resolution was lower, I'm not used to that aspect ratio, and long-term oled is a concern since I listen to YT at work for hours. Finally the price is not encouraging. Legend, and thank you.
@@jmiloveyou1470 I ended up buying a 5-V for a good price. Very satisfied with it, although it has a few bugs. (Like heating when a wired headset is plugged. You'd just need to restart if it happened)
Good video man. Glad to see you use one at last. The strength of the phone is definitely in video. I honestly think it's the best on Android. That 100K is SO close! Cheers, Dan.
Totally agree, I was legit surprised by the regular 4K video. In decent lighting I think it's up there with the big boys, if not surpassing them. Mic quality is maybe what needs to improve a bit. And yes, that milestone is days away I think! I will miss being this excited 🤣
That was a great video! It was detailed yet entertaining. Regarding 5:05, it's actually self learning. I guess in your case it was "trained" incorrectly by the previous user so you'll have to reset it. Otherwise, you just have to override it and it'll adapt accordingly. There are so many functions hidden in settings that aren't turned on by default for some reason, like the wind noise reduction, HDR, high quality stabilisation, AI super resolution zoom and the rear facing microphone. Plus, to get the maximum quality, you have to use Video Pro to get 4K 120 fps and be able to bypass the ISO and shutter limits in Auto. Like you said, it isn't meant for regular phone users, because they'll leave so much potential on the table. It's really a shame but I hope Sony can do it right with the Xperia 1 VI releasing next month!
Yeah someone told me that as well, I think I needed to be more patient! I did reset from factory settings so it's just time really. Oh man, I wish I knew about that wind noise reduction! Thanks so much for sharing these tips, will make sure to include them when I get the VI 😉
I bought one this morning, It's really the phone for me Custom roms, expendable storage, I'll just pop my sd card in and have all of my music and pictures good cameras, good materials, good battery life with the 8gen2 Basically a drop in replacement for my aging Xperia 5 II
As always i love your videoes. So geniune. I am on the hunt for a Andriod and I was about to press the button to buy a new S24 but I think this one may be a better option. Keep doing an awesome job mate.
Great video. I currently use the Sony Xperia 1 mark III and I plan to upgrade to the mark V since they don't sell the mark VI in the US. I love the overall experience of the phone from the display to the ease of use and especially the camera. I love Sony products in general. I have everything from them from TV to entertainment do cameras and lenses, headphones and much more. I would never want to use that iPhone. I don't think iPhone camera or the Samsung camera can match up to a Sony camera.
I like your video... Good colouring, pleasing images and you have a smooth sounding unknown accent which makes this seem more professional. Well done random buddy. 👍
I am an Apple user but considering switching to the Xperia 1V. Based in Japan so it is reduced in price as the Xperia VI is out. How do you find using Google and Android whilst using the Apple ecosystem? Do you know if the new all in one camera from the Xperia VI can be installed on the Xperia V? What are your thoughts on the Xperia V? Any recommendations for a calendar for Android? I find the Google calendar looks very childish! Thanks for your honest reviews!!!
This phone keeps attracting me. Though I wish it had a variable aperture or at least a bit more depth of field, I love the so-called natural look of the photo's (I'm not really interested in video's). The stills are, unlike other phones, not so typically digitally processed. I hate that artificial HDR shite. Also the AF capabilities and dedicated shutter button are so nice. I don't mind the Xperia doesn't have an enormous amount of megapixels; my Nikon camera hasn't either. I don't print pictures in poster size anyway. What holds me back from buying this phone, is the exorbitant price combined with a painfully short update policy. For now I'm keeping my Xiaomi 13 Pro that I bought with a big discount. It shoots excellent pictures as well.
Couldn't agree more on pricing, and you nailed it on image quality. It's the closest to a real camera I think. Makes you really push yourself to learn photography
It's a Wonderful smartphone. But it's regrettable that they removed notification LED, the customizable AlwaysOnDisplay with images, and the zoom system isn't as performing as Xperia 1 III system at night.
You should try a Motorola edge 30 Pro or the new one being released tomorrow, the edge 50 Ultra. They don't have or use any bloatware at all, they use very close to stock Android and it's always fast and easy to use. Also, their pricing is better than Samsung, Apple, Google, Sony. The only downside to Motorola phones.... They still can't get the camera software or algorithms to work very well so the photos come out random and not good at night time, other than that, my favourite phone brand so far.
legend! great review and really good presentation on your video. It's nice to see impression from a fellow Sony alpha user as well. Additional thing to comment about this phone, you can also doing a long time gaming session using Xperia stream extension + power bypass to keep the temperature in check and having a nicer ergonomic holding the phone You can also doing a camera-ish vlogging style using the vlogging monitor (does not need additional power) and external microphone. A bit more accessories to fiddle but the experience is worth it. I'm sure a more mainstream smartphone such as Iphone, Pixel, and Galaxy are used by many people for a reason, but for a niche audience, this phone is truly enjoyable! Cheers
Thanks for the kind words! So much more that I haven't tried, like you said this is for a niche audience but man, did they impress! I was not expecting video to be that good...
Just purchased this phonecand waiting on delivery. Opted due to the storage and manual nature of the camera considering i hardly ever get oyt the DSLR these day but missing adjusting for conditions. Great review, thanks...legend!!
This one didn't overheat at all, even when I was recording 4K for a whole morning. In comparison, I thought the 15 Pro Max got really hot, especially in the first few weeks before iOS updates
Legend. Loved your review & subscribed. I do quite a lot of video filming on smartphones so here's my question for you: could you please make a video comparison between S24 ultra and this Sony or the mark vi if launches in the meantime please? So many yt-bers are missing out on the video category and I personally would like to see a video quality comparison, particularly on the wide angle or ultra wide angle. I often have to film in very tight spaces whilst I refuse to use expensive video equipment. I would like yo know if there's a distortion, noise, etc. Many thanks
Great video! Very bold statement to say video is better than the Galaxy Ultra, and even possibly iPhone. How is the audio jack sound quality, compared to ur other phone (even if using Bluetooth audio)? On paper I am not convinced by Sony's 24-bit/192khz audio, when my Galaxy Note 10+ has an AKG-tuned 32-bit/384 kHz audio. [From South Africa]
SFC here: I have the Xperia 1 V and camera quality its way ahead than the IV -which in itself was ahead of the 1 iii (both I still have) the main sensor simply slaughters the competition and is amazing as is the phone overall. THe only weak point in the whole phone , is the telephoto sensor as its FAR too soft after 3x
Tap to pay doesnt work on this one. Tried 2 different phones same issue. There is some issue with NFC. Was very frustrating when i was visiting London last year could not use it to pay at a lot of places.
Been using it for photos and videos. It's a really nice width to get good grip with one hand. Don't know what they'd do to improve the "premium feel" on it; the back is laser etched Gorilla Glass. Only thing I'd like better on it would be a 1" sensor. If Sony kept the aspect ratio/size but changed the sensor to 1", I'd immediately buy the upgrade.
I was really surprised by the video and photo quality (maybe I shouldn't have been given Sony sells the camera sensors to so many manufacturers). Yes, a 1"sensor of that quality would be incredible!
I have a IV and want to get a V. I'm honestly not liking what I'm seeing on the VI leaks considering they're likely changing the aspect ratio and getting rid of the 4K screen. I'm likely either going to upgrade to a Sony Xperia I mk V or a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I think iPhones are neat but I'd never buy one.
I hate the fact on my Samsung every 30 min or so the volume goes down...I been a galaxy note user but since the new notes dont have headphone Jack and SD Card slot I been looking for a replacement/upgrade...I might go with this phone
I'm actually thinking of getting the Xperia 1 VI, but I'm debating whether I should get it considering the price. I just fear I might not like it if I go for it considering how expensive it's gonna cost in my country. Maybe I should...
Legend! I have the Experia 1III and love it to death.. By far has been the best phone/camera/audio device I've ever owned! Due to the 3G/4G network shutdown in Australia I'm in need of a new phone (ARRRG), well looks like the 4k screen is dropped from the Experia 1VI soooooooo its a new Experia 1 V for me.... And I get to keep using my $600 IEM's :) TY Sony!
I've had this for a couple months, couple issues that annoy me - it still gets hot and hotter while charging, green tint at low brightness(you can tell if you change brightness slider in settings, it turns green at 70%), charging is slow asf for 2023 flagship, and worse of all 2 years software updates.. other than that i love the rest of the phone. I use the jack every time I'm in the car, take pics of everything and lightroom edit makes it awesome, and smooth scrolling screen, and got a 512 sd card for video and pictures.
Im love my Sony Xperia 1 V camera love it Manuel foto No AI also my old sony's are xperia 1 iv and xperia 5iii and xperia 5ii and xperia 1 and xperia xz Premium and xperia xz 3 and xperia xz2 and xperia xz 1 and xperia x compart 🤗from xperia 5 II Manuel foto star love it Im like pro camera sony xperia
Legend! The device is great. I use it with no Sim card and I use it as an external monitor / recorder. So a6700 and ZVE1 with one card is not a problem. It's my video camera and I rig it out. It's a super cool device and I've been using sony device since the 90S
Was doubting to get the iphone 15 max pro but I am not using a macbook, so the Sony Xperia 1 V is the one i am going to get. Had a Xperia back in the day but that one started to over heat after a few years but they fixed it with this model.
But it’s already on the last OS update it will ever get! I would have bought it if it had better support. Currently using an Xperia Vii, which is limping along, with several apps not working properly and some not working at all 😡
I really love xperia especially miss the shutter btn, but have not good experienced with 5 mark iii because of temperature and poor quality of telephoto lens.
I had this phone for 4 months. I liked it a lot, but I found stock android a bit too bland. I could not customise it and I didn't enjoy the user interface. The cameras, as great as they are, they are not for everyone. Video is where sony really beat every other phone. I am really tempted to buy the Sony Xperia 1 v again, I've actually seen it online for 350 pounds, which is good news.
Legend - I've always liked Sony phones and their Xperia tablets, too. I'd love to get this one, especially if Sony is taking away the 4K screen on the I VI. Only committing to a couple of years of software support is a deal-killer for me.
Nice review I’ve always thought the phone was sweet. What kept me I’m jumping into it in previous reviews of earlier. Models was the phone we get hot and some of the things that we use phones for other than photography seem to be not quite there, but I really love, how they kept simple things earphone Jack micro SD card Sony is cool I hope they keep it going.
Thanks for the informative video. Perhaps one day, the Xperia 1 line will be legend. I'm looking forward to buying a mark vi. I need a headphone jack and desire a good camera.
The reasons I didn't buy the Xperia 1V (yet?) are: 1. Only 2 years new Android versions. That's really not enough for a 1000€ phone. 5 years should be the absolute minimum. 2. Uncertain about modded GCam support. Sony's own apps are great for manual shooting. But they are not good enough for quick snaps in full auto with HDR. The GoogleCam (or now PixelCam) app produces much, much better results. There are modded verions of this app, which can be used on other phones. But it's always hard to find out, if there's a mod, which works really well and supports all important features (and all the lenses) on a certain phone. So I am just trying to find that out, before I would consider buying one. Other than that, I think the 1V is really good: Looks better than Pixel or Samsung phones. Has a microSD slot (honestly the EU should just ban all phones without an SD-card-slot). Has the snapdragon processor, and probably good sensors/lenses ... even though I hate, that not all lenses use the same sensor behind them.
Agree, it needs longer support. The features in this phone are great, I think they need to fix their pricing and distribution globally but I don't know... maybe they want to stay in a closed niche...
Sony, that was my first choice in Smartphones, Sony Ericsson to be exact. I loved the start of Xperia Lineup, I just wish they do better, in term of overall camera app experience. Small things that they do put me off and I am fulltime smartphone videographer and photographer. I professionally do this. And two of the Xperias just did not work for me as Camera. And yes, NO iPhone here for me at all. Been using Xiaomi 10T, Got myself a Samsung S22 Ultra recently.
Nice! Yes the Sony Ericcson phines were great, i remember the very first camera phones, before the iPhone. It was a fun time! And yes the Galaxy phones have become a reference recently
Going from a S22 Ultra to Sony Xperia 1V was an "Upgrade" newer phone and new gen hardware etc... but it's biggest let down in my experience was software updates, full support for the screen aspect ratio having the black bars all the time bit of annoyance and have not many companies making cases for it only companies that due make a couple good options were Spigen. Going back Samsung to a S24 Ultra, you realise how unpolished the software compared to other versions of android and how much options there is for accessories and magsafe 🙌. However I can't fully diss the phone, the 4k screen for watching TV is unreal 👌 and taking photos and videos best phone I've used hands down like the S24 ultra doesn't come close in comparison likes.
“Legend”. I used Sony Ericsson P900 series in 1990s as my main phone and it used to have tiny stylus if you remember I may try the Sony Experian 1 V if someone give it to me for testing 😂😂
I think IF Sony wants to target average Joe it either needs to focus heavily on the 10 Series and bring that up to S24 level but at a lower €500 price. Or make the 5 series more like an S24 in terms of ease of use, ltpo, remove all the pro apps etc and price it a touch lower at say €750. And of course they would need a MEGA advertising campaign to make average Joe aware that Sony phones exist. Tbh i don't think it's worth their while because the smartphone market is in decline, people don't have that kind of money anymore and they more or less stick with their favourite brand. To get them to switch is really not easy. As long as Sony doesn't expect mobile division to be a money maker but more of a Pro photographer companion device, they should continue as is. I would make the 10 series more competitive on features and price it at €350/400. Give it S24 level cameras borhvon hardware and software/computational photography, LTPO 120hz display, wireless charging, headphone jack, SD card, IP 68, and have local repairs and accessories. In other words beat the Xiaomi's, Poco's, Realme's, Nothings, Samsung's etc in the €500 and below market. That's where the growth is likely to be. Especially around the €300/350 mark. Oh, and 3 years OS upgrades.
I agree, really not sure where Sony wants to take this, but as you said, Marketing and pricing (as well as presence globally) would play an important role if they want to take this to the masses. Maybe they are happy to just appeal to that niche of enthusiasts/photographers, difficult to tell..
@@AlexGTech I think it's a great phone that is very underrated. I'm a photographer and I think this phone would complement my photography perfectly. The fact that you can use the phone as a secondary monitor to Sony cameras when shooting video makes it all so functional. If I could buy it, I would.
I remember my Sony Xperia Z1 and Z3 really for that time Z1 make great pictures on this time and I put phone under the water and making video.Battery that time is insane 3/4day on android 2 on 5” screen light use,Then I switch on Z3 but I fell nothing change besides phone look modern then I switch to iPhone 7,X,SE2 now 13PRO and thinking back to Sony I wait for Xperia 1 VI let’s see.
Nice! To be fair the 13Pro has been one of the best iPhones recently, and no dynamic island which I preferred. Right now for my use the Galaxy stuff still edging it but I keep trying iPhones hoping they'd get more useful for me

Why all smart phone companies cancel the external memory slot? The reason is purely financial😢
I love your down to earth tone and detailed videos , keep going
Legend :-) Great video as always, Alex! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Martin!! And you are a legend for watching that far too! 🙌🏼
👍 Superb shots and videos, it's an awesome phone and a "Lengend" of a review. I really enjoyed this. Just a few points, the sim tray requires no sim tool. The Sony case is excellent and designed ergonomically for picture/video shooting and comes built in with a stand. 😀
You're a legend!! Thanks so much Lee, and without you this video would not exist!
i got the xperia 5ii and i am 100% sold on sony xperia flagships. and now i got 3 green stripes in my screen so i slowly watching and saving for another sony xperia 5 or 1 series.
3 major things i would like to see improved though (as a general user):
1. Seemless zoom also to the selfie camera pls sony. So you can make videos and switch to selfie while recording a video (super handy for social media).
2. When having a burst mode on in the basic mode that you can still just make a single shot with the physical shutter button. Pls sony just make a half second delay before it jumps to burst mode (in this way you can easely use both modes with the physical shutter button, super handy)
3. an exception button in the battery save mode for gps/navigation/google maps so you can have best battery life when needed while you still have to use gps for example when on holiday raoming cities.
If they improve this im 100% it will attract more to the masses, for the rest the phones are amazing and use a bit cumbersome in the camera department but with basic mode its still easely doable for the everage consumer. For the pro consumer sony already has the best of the best so pls sony focus a bit more on the everage consumer too and not nessacarely with more hdr and ai and computational photography cause your photography is amazing natural (we do love that)
Love those suggestions!! That seamless zoom really is nice and I hope they bring to the front camera too. Thanks so much for this comment 😊
I read most xperia 5 users have that problem as well, green stripes.. LOL... go with xperia 1 instead.
Awesome shots great photos nice one Alex 😎
Thanks so much Mary 🙏🏼 have a lovely weekend!!
Good point on OLED, I wonder if it will stand the test of time... and you're a legend for watching that far 🙌🏼
i buy 1 v used phone in Bangladesh how about?
I bought one this morning, It's really the phone for me
Custom roms, expendable storage, I'll just pop my sd card in and have all of my music and pictures
good cameras, good materials, good battery life with the 8gen2
Basically a drop in replacement for my aging Xperia 5 II
I was actually interested in the Sony Xperia 1 Vi but it is not coming to the states. I am now looking at the V.
It now can be bought on Amazon
I really appreciate how sony stays on it's classic earphone jack and dedicated micro sd card slot
With the 8 gen 4 the Xperia VI I should be legendary. The headphone jack and Micro SD slot are missed by most other phones.
Thanks for your honest reviews!!!
nice review. you're a legend dude!
Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks so much for watching that far ❤️
Went from 1III to 1V. I miss the info LED so much, why did they?
Legend. Welcome to Sony Xperia!! 😊😊😊
I have Xperia 1v for about 9 months
The best phone I have ever used
It's a Wonderful smartphone.
Additional thing to comment about this phone, you can also doing a long time gaming session using Xperia stream extension + power bypass to keep the temperature in check and having a nicer ergonomic holding the phone
You can also doing a camera-ish vlogging style using the vlogging monitor (does not need additional power) and external microphone.
This phone is simply epic
Have yourself a great weekend Alex.
Thank you.
Thanks mate!! I will be wearing my Brighton top tomorrow 😅 Guess you will be watching that MANxLIV match too!

What is the song at the end of video?? Anyone plz tell me
It’s called Focus on Me by Adelyn Paik 👊🏼
Just purchased this phonecand waiting on delivery. Opted due to the storage and manual nature of the camera considering i hardly ever get oyt the DSLR these day but missing adjusting for conditions. Great review, thanks...legend!!

Thanks so much for the kind words! (And for watching that far!!)
Awesome video Alex! We're so close to 100K!!! Let's goooo 😁
So close! Thank you so much 🙏🏼
does it overheat?
it's a bummer an almost 2k phone doesnt have face unlock
still impressive
Many thanks
Great suggestions thank you! Will certainly do that 👊🏼 and thanks for watching that far, legend!
Nice review. You legend!
7:38 what editing software is that?
That is Adobe Lightroom mobile. Love it!
7:00 ai music is just so uncanny holy shit...
Tap to pay doesnt work on this one. Tried 2 different phones same issue. There is some issue with NFC. Was very frustrating when i was visiting London last year could not use it to pay at a lot of places.
Such a shame... I hope they fix these issues soon. I also hope they release it in different markets, this phone has bags of potential, if priced right
It work for mine. You need to update google application.
Great one, legend!!
Good review 🎉
Excellent video about this Wonderful smartphone 😌.
Will you buy Xperia 1 VI if the 4K 21:9 screen is removed ? It's the rumors.
Amazing! I'd love to see your work, if you share it online, let me know 🙌🏼
Legend! The device is great. I use it with no Sim card and I use it as an external monitor / recorder. So a6700 and ZVE1 with one card is not a problem. It's my video camera and I rig it out. It's a super cool device and I've been using sony device since the 90S
Congrats on 100k
Also to add, the headphone jack also works as an external mic jack too
such a complete device! Can't wait for VI
Definitely waiting for Mark iv
Me too, I knew I would love this phone
Miss Xperia Z days when they were more popular and had more marketing
Great vid, legend
But only 2 years receive update right? 😢 why sony why
Legend
This will be a great upgrade from my Xperia 1 1st generation 😅
I'm happy with my Xperia 1 V and of course the main reason for having it is the cameras.
Sent from Xperia 1 V
I had this phone for 4 months. I liked it a lot, but I found stock android a bit too bland. I could not customise it and I didn't enjoy the user interface. The cameras, as great as they are, they are not for everyone. Video is where sony really beat every other phone.
I am really tempted to buy the Sony Xperia 1 v again, I've actually seen it online for 350 pounds, which is good news.
I have loved Samsung 3,4,7,9, & 10. But then they took out sim card and the headphone jack. So, I am considering Xperia 5 IV.
Legend - I've always liked Sony phones and their Xperia tablets, too. I'd love to get this one, especially if Sony is taking away the 4K screen on the I VI. Only committing to a couple of years of software support is a deal-killer for me.
yes, these days we need at least 5 years really. Hope the VI lives up to its predecessor
Hoping that they will not disappoint us on Xperia 1 VI. Wish to have a LEGEND phone like sony xperia. 13:35
The reasons I didn't buy the Xperia 1V (yet?) are:
Other than that, I think the 1V is really good:
Looks better than Pixel or Samsung phones.
Another great video, Alex!
Hugs from Brazil 🤗

I wish with all my heart have this phone
I do hope you should take photos with high speed shutter. Never I see a demo or testing the result. No brand.
Legend 😊
Hey Alex! Can you do the Japan trip as a treat for 100K Subscribers? Using the Sony 1V to make cinematic shots as well!
Now THAT would be a dream!!
Legend!
“Legend”. I used Sony Ericsson P900 series in 1990s as my main phone and it used to have tiny stylus if you remember
I may try the Sony Experian 1 V if someone give it to me for testing 😂😂
Haha, yes, I was lucky to have such a nice friend who let me have it for a month!
And thanks so much for watching this far! ♥️
I do remember the stylus!!
I had P800 and then P990 before switching over to Nokia N series
Dunno why Sony does not stylus now despite being pioneers
Xperia 1vi is likely going to give 5 years of os updates.

@@AlexGTech I think it's a great phone that is very underrated. I'm a photographer and I think this phone would complement my photography perfectly. The fact that you can use the phone as a secondary monitor to Sony cameras when shooting video makes it all so functional. If I could buy it, I would.
