Land Acknowledgement
The land that I record my content on is the traditional territory of Kiikaapoi, Peoria, Bodéwadmiakiwen (Potawatomi), Myaamia, and the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ peoples. The treaty is Cession 148.
Territory acknowledgement is meant to insert awareness of Indigenous presence and land rights in everyday life. It’s important to consider the privileges we have today because of colonialism. While the content on my channel may rarely have crossover opportunities to go in depth on this subject, I want to encourage everyone to learn the history of their settling and share that knowledge at every opportunity.
