Just a helpful hint for anyone trying the jambalaya mix - it's VERY salty. I just made it the other day and while the flavor is good, it's just way too salty. Next time I make it I'll add some plain white rice to the mix. It will still have plenty of flavor. I like to serve it with homemade potato salad. It's not as good as my homemade version but super easy and well worth keeping a box in the pantry for a quick meal.
I like the Pre-made meat for those nights I don't feel like cooking much. I have tried the Korean beef, Carne asada, chicken. Makes meal time quick and tasty.
Walmart has been my go to store for the cheapest prices. However, since Covid, they have been increasing rapidly. Be sure to compare prices at Walmart with Aldi, Amazon, and other stores. I’m finding they are higher in a lot of cases.
We love Aldi! We buy the majority of our groceries from there and love their products that have no synthetic dyes. My son is obsessed with the muffins, so I highly recommend it!

I've traveled many places in Ohio and have never payed tax on food. Plus, a quick Google search will confirm, most food items are exempt from tax. Only soda, prepared or cooked food has tax.
No Aldi in my town, but I enjoy watching everyone's Aldi hauls. Hope to see more Aldi hauls on your channel. The meals you have planned sound good. Hope you share yourself preparing some on you home channel.
I buy a lot at aldi. All the snacks are good and my teens don't ever complain about them. I am not a fan of their ground beef though. I have had bad experiences with their produce as well, but all in all its a good place on a budget. Suggestion: With the rest of the pulled chicken you can make some chicken wraps with the rest of the flour tortillas and even some yummy easy chicken quesadillas😊😊😊

Pepperidge farms has brioche buns for 4.09 and ibotta rebate for 1.50 that was at Meijer. Also I'm so shocked at potato prices. It must be though I only buy bags when it's holidays but that is high.

We have Trader Joe's instead of Aldi's but it's across town so I shop a lot at Grocery Outlet. I love to go to grocery stores when I travel to other countries. It's just fun to see their food compared to ours.

ALDI follows the food guidelines from the EU. They don't use artificial food colorants there. For more information there's an explanation on the Adi website.
i regonized that some american Aldi brands are high end brands in europe and some of the high end brands in europe are aldi brands in america. For example: the chiquita bananas are the most expansive you can buy in europe.

Aldi is one of the best grocery stores around. Love shopping there although my husband tells me to stay out of the aisle with all the FUN stuff....lol. My family has tried the chicken salad and everyone says it's really good. Also, the Belle Vie sparkling water is excellent if you like something like that:) The only item that I purchased there and really didn't like was the pre-made Manicotti. I'd really like to try the mashed potato bowls sometime.
Aldi's one of my favorite stocking my pantry store. You have more than 6 meals. Grass fed beef is delicious never disappointed. Try the breaded chicken in the red bag taste like Chick-fli-la on those buns you purchased. With Mozzarella cheeses I make Bruschetta using Italian or French bread. I was trying to give you pointers and my hubby was given me the look. 😂 Also if ever you are disappointed returning policy is great. ❤
I was going to comment on the red bag chicken for sandwiches. Delicious! We put them in the air fryer at 400, 20 min, flipping at 10. The brioche buns are wonderful for those, we also use their bread and butter pickles on them. Usually with their tator tots which we airfry at 400 for 12min. They have a knock off Chick-fil-a sauce as well.
I second that! As well as their duplex cookies (oreo knock offs), we get the kind with yellow on one side and black on the other. Also their soft chips ahoy version though I seldom get to eat any of those lol.
I usually shop Kroger Pickup and go to Sam's for meat and fruit. I used to go to Aldi for my fruit, but I find it hard to get there when they restock our store and the good stuff is picked through rather quickly. I also learned I spend a lot less using pickup since I'm getting just the things we need and not things I pass by and think looks good. Plus at Kroger they'll accept paper coupons at pickup. :) We are a family of 5. I grocery shop every other week and usually spend between $200 and $250 (including our 9% tax 😢) between the 2 stores, depending on how much meat we need that trip.
The chicken Parm sounds really good, as does the breakfast burrito, smoked sausage and jambalaya is always good. Yes you did good for all those meals plus snacks and lunches. 😊👍
Hey Kayla, when you were showing us the bacon area look down to bottom left of those coolers and you'll see a pack of the aldi brand breakfast/pork sausage roll for about 2 dollars less than the one you grabbed in the clip before that, just pointing out where to find it in the future 😊 it's just as good as the name brand, and to answer your questions on the snacks, some of my kids favorites are the aldi "turtles" like their goldfish crackers, but look and make sure you're grabbing the "extra cheese" ones they have a delicious powder type coating on them and the original are more bland. My kids also love the aldi poptarts/nutri grain bars/cereal/waffles/French toast sticks etc as much as name brand. The pub pretzels are really good!! Those mini muffins you pointed out are just as good as name brand, I'd just be careful with like cheez it knock offs, aldi doritos and such because that's where I notice a difference, but their brand savoritz crackers are as good as ritz brand, especialy the kid mini ritz and cheese type ones...and if you like tortellini, you need to try the herb chicken stuffed next time they're 10/10 with some pesto sauce! The green pesto there is so good, even with some diced chicken and penne pasta, maybe throw some grape tomatoes in too. Delish. Also if your kids like gogurt, the moo tubes are good there they usually have some fun flavors. My favorite snacks there for adults are the organic blue corn tortilla chips and I make homemade guacamole to go with them since you always end up with a whole bag of avocados there, and then there's some turkey type beef sticks that are good as a grab and go snack with a hard boiled egg. Or an adult lunchable with some fruit, crackers, pepperonni. I shop so much like you, with a plan, but always grabbing a few when I see a good price for a future use too, like you did with the beef and gravy. Etc 😊 great video, I love seeing you shop at aldi, because I don't have a Publix store anywhere close where you usually do grocery deal videos. The Walmart ones are good too. You can almost all and spend only like $100 for the groceries if yoy shop at target. I get my groceries worth $300 for $20. Target doesn't care about orders below $1000 so I just process my own refunds
We like shopping at Aldi! My kids like the aldi brand mini muffins and cheese its. I haven't tried the pop tarts because we really like the name brand and sometimes off brand pop tarts are just not good. 😂

Their never any brand is good also!!! Never any bad ingredients pretty much. I shop at aldi because all the chemicals that are banned in Europe is not in anything in their stores. Especially since they are German roots.

I shop at Aldi every week. We eat a lot of boneless chicken and they have the best price. Look at the boneless chicken in other stores they add a sodium solution to add weight to it. Aldi doesn't. We love their granola bars and cereal bars. Aldi live their Greek yogurts with fruit on the bottom. Just like Chobani but a lot cheaper
My son is autistic and textures and tastes of off brands he doesn't like generally but he can do the Aldi fruit and grain bars, cheese it's, and pop tarts. He won't do the granola bars, goldfish, or doritos off brand there.
Our budget is 325/mo for 2. We go every week and try not to go over $80, usually less if I don't have to get meat that week, and sometimes more with meat. But if I take my fiance with me, it usually ends up being more of course 😂 He likes snacks and unplanned things not on the list that look good in store 😂

i grew up on aldi i love it!! i still go shopping there many years later!
They have all types of dyes, bioengineered food products, seed oils and sugars.
I'm in Ohio and we don't have tax on any food. I'm so thankful for that. I don't understand why some states have tax on food!

bread cheese is amazing fried up!
We are working on removing all dye from my sons diet and so far we have loved all of the Aldi items we have tried.

I really enjoy Sam's club chicken tenders for mashed potato bowls. It's $16.98 for a 5 lb box, and they're really good quality and perfectly seasoned.

cut your extra onion up spread the out on a cookie sheet and freeze the . put them in a freezer bag just pull out what you need

The aldis captain crunch is the exact same as the name brand. Thats the only cereal I eat but I assume the other cereals are the same as well.

The Aldi brand 'Millville" is actually the Generic of General Mills. I suspect other Aldi brands are actually produced by name brands.

My son is autistic and textures and tastes of off brands he doesn't like generally but he can do the Aldi fruit and grain bars, cheese it's, and pop tarts. He won't do the granola bars, goldfish, or doritos off brand there.
Our budget is 325/mo for 2. We go every week and try not to go over $80, usually less if I don't have to get meat that week, and sometimes more with meat. But if I take my fiance with me, it usually ends up being more of course 😂 He likes snacks and unplanned things not on the list that look good in store 😂
