I'm impressed by the kindness of the people of Moscow and St Petersburg who are opening their doors to provide shelter to the displaced people of Kursk and Belgorod. Oh. Wait. Did I get that wrong? Tents, you say, just a few weeks before the cold and wet season. Oh well. how sad. Never mind. Ten times their number were turned into refugees when Russia started this war, and thousands of people all over Europe, particularly Poland, offered shelter. There are civilised people, and there are Russians.

There are a relative few who could manage it. The wealth gap is extreme and many live in apartments that are the same as those in Soviet Russia. I served in my country's army. I would much rather live in peace with my neighbours, especially when they are NATO members. The lend lease opportunities that Russia is left with, dwarfs in comparison to what NATO can offer Ukraine. So far, they've received mostly outmoded equipment. 🇷🇺 is doomed , as their war economics efforts, will lead to Putin's demise within 8 to 14 months. There's no war economic looming on the horizon in the west. Unlike Russia, NATO is able to keep the pressure up, just enough to secure the enemy's defeat. With Sweden and Finland into Nato ,Russia is all but encircled, while China is surrounded. The power of balance.

The difference between early 1942 and mid 2024 is pretty simple: While the Soviet Union was defending itself against Nazi Germany, the USA and the United Kingdom used three ways (north of Norway, north of Japan and south from Iran) to send vast amounts of weapons, material and food to support them. Today Russia is supported by North Korea and Iran - pretty much the rest of the world either supports Ukraine or stays neutral like China does. For Ukraine it is the opposite - that is why Russia cannot win this war anymore. Their losses of tanks, vans, soldiers, ships and planes as well as ammunition are amazing. Russia has lost more than just one war, if you look back in history. They lost World War I, they lost against Japan in 1905, they lost in Crimea against UK and France to name just a few.

And if you look further…it’s because Russia has been fighting wars the same way since before 1905…they throw soldier after soldier after soldier into battle, no plan, no proper equipment…they’re fighting a war in 2024 as if it’s 1905. They think quantity over quality every single time. 😂 Russian/Soviet Leaders are not known for their IQ. A few sandwiches short of a picnic lol.

One more detail - Russia has such an extreme shortage of manpower and equipment that they left the Kursk border completely undefended. A CNN reporter went through the Russian border completely unopposed yesterday to show just how bad it is. If they can't even defend their border against the country they are invading, they'll have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to even defend themselves. Even if Russia does conquer Ukraine, it will be a pyrrhic victory. It will take trillions of dollars to rebuild Ukraine to be useful to Putin.

Oh, but there are many scenarios and most of them pretty bad for the rest of the world.
If putler is overthrown, there will most definitely be a civil war, because putler has a massive number of supporters who are mostly thuggish, vile and aggressive, compared to more intelligent and oppressed supporters of democracy and opposition. The outcome of this civil war may be even more radicalized country that is ruled by whoever was most ruthless and brutal to win. And has nukes.
Even if putler is somehow removed in a way that appeases both sides, it will not change the system. Just like hitler was, putler is kept in power by his corrupt circle, who enjoy their luxurious lives too much to change it. So, he would be replaced by another dictator who might be more calculating and shrewd, to avoid the same mistakes that putler made. putler is not unlike hitler, whose ego and stupid decisions contributed greatly to the defeat. If he was replaced by somebody, equally ruthless, but more level headed, the war could have been way longer and bloody, even if the outcome eventually would be the same.
One scenario that was mentioned many times is that ruZZia could fracture into regions that it brutally conquered in previous centuries. ruZZia's nuclear arsenal is scattered all over it's territory. If you have ever read or seen news about bloody ethnic conflicts in those territories, you know that the emerging new states would be ruled by those who managed to murder all the opposition. And those states, ruled by brutal tribal warlords, would have nukes.

I do see Ukraine as being a welcoming place for Americans when they (the Ukrainians) reclaim their country from the Russian invaders. It’s sad that the Russian people can’t or won’t acknowledge the fact that they’re living under the rule of a dictator. Trump claims he will be a dictator on day one if he’s elected president this November…. unlike the Russian people, Americans have the right to bear arms… a dictator in the US will find him (or herself) the target of millions of gun owners.

Nato has almost 1 billion citizens (670,0000,000 in Europe and 330,000,000 in the U.S.) so I think Belarus (9,100,000 people that live there) is scared of NATO so bad that it took this long for them to donate some equipment to Putin lol Russia with (142,000,000 citizens as of this year that is after a loss of 3,000,000 that left the country to avoid the war draft and for economical reasons) while Europe and America just keep growing because every immigrant wants to live in one of the two places, no one wants to live in Russia or Belarus. Unless you have no choice and are facing life in prison, and your name happens to be Snowden LOL is the only example I know LOl

Stevan Seagal comes to mind although still haven't seen him on the front lines, thought he was so strong? Perhaps he can join the tic toc army? Seems like a perfect place to be for him. And ofcourse let's not forget tax avoider Gerard Depardieu who should be able to stop all missiles with his size alone!

Nato has 967 million inhabitants, they are mostly fat in america and pacifistic in europe. Russia and its allies Belarus, China, Iran and North Korea have twice as many people, mostly patriotic and fit. Now imagine Ukraine switching over to Russia and you begin to understand why the americans are getting desperate.

Once again, Russia is saying it will cut off the gas to Europe. But forgets that doing so will also cut off the income to Russia from Europe. But I guess marketeconomy has never been Russia's strong suit.
