It might seem like talking about this machine is out of date as it's older, but I don't buy new (cannot afford it.) Anyway, we have a used HV 870Q and wish your video was higher res. Still, it's been helpful, and your voice over instructions as you go are quite professional and clear.
A huge thank you ! When I bought my Husquvarna 1070 machine 18 yrs ago it came with vhs video which I found invaluable as dealer in another city. I purchased my Saphire last week which I love, but no training dvd ??? Thank you sooo much !!!!
I would love to see more tutorials. I bought a Sapphire 875 last year and only received a 10 minute demo from my dealer. I wished Viking included a demo DVD. I could do so much more if I had assess to more information.
Oddly enough, I have an instructional DVD that came with my Sapphire 830 machine, but wouldn't you know it, I can't play the DVD in my computer, TV (it has a built in DVD player), or even my blue ray DVD player. I have not tried my Divex DVD player, but I doubt that even that one would work. I do have booklets that came with the machine as well, but I think the DVD might have helped better, but alas, I cant view it on any DVD machine or format they have. For the money you pay for these machines, I would expect better books and DVD. I wonder if I should have gotten a Bernina instead.
I have the Sapphire 875Q. It my 1st time using twin needles. I threaded fine and it sews fine. But it “tunnels” like it’s too tight. Looks like it want to sort of pin tuck. Everything I’ve looked up says to adjust the tension. This machine is automatic. I’m just trying to repair some pajama pants. While not breaking the needles. I got 6.0 needles because that’s how far apart the original seam is. Set fine but just too tight. Help.
I would appreciate that if you use a light, lighter, or light patterned fabric that you use a dark, darker or black thread. Conversely if you use a dark or darker fabric use a light (pink in this case) or white thread. Demonstrates better over video. Besides newbies to sewing let alone this machine can see & understand better. The last time I sewed machines were manual. I do not understand everything you are demonstrating. Yet being able to see your stitching could help. Thank you so much. :)
I understand that this is a very old video but I'm hoping you see this. I have the opportunity to pick one of these up for $1000. I'm also looking at a pfaff ambition 620 or a janome s3. I sew intimates at home and love the idea of the auto thread tension as working with lace can be tricky and going from lace to sewing underwire channeling and forgetting to change the thread tension is a nightmare. Would you have a recommendation for me? There are SO MANY options out there!
I have a Husqvarna 875 but am not very happy with it. It is now the second time that the machine has this problem. Maybe you can help me with this. The bottom stich does not connect with the top stich the bottom turns into loops. Can you please help me with this problem ? Thank you Lore Murphy
I'm big Viking fan. I have D1 and Ruby (which I haven't used yet). I also have the Sapphire 870. Going to let my daughter use my 870 and came across your great demo of the 875. Could you tell me the difference between
This is a great video but it IS a tad out of focus. It helped me with an older model I just bought . If anyone knows a demo video for the Sapphire 835 (particularly for quilting) I'd love to find it!
Can someone tell me what this machine is worth in 2024 if it’s used in “like new” condition? Someone near me is selling one, and I’d love to buy it if it’s worth it. Thank you!
I still am unsure of how to use this machine. It would have been nice if the video was in focus and we could actually see what buttons you were pushing. I still have never used any of the stitches inside the cover because the instructions are very limited. I only use straight stitch and zigzag.
I found this video to be rather out of focus. Also the demo would have been much better with plain fabric and contrasting thread. I was so looking forward to seeing the whole video, but....... Andrea Lee
The video is not complete, at 13:14 min. Just stops, it's a bummer! I wish she used black thread so I could see the stitching and a better close ups, other than that, thank you for the recording! Can you make another about the same machine?
I appreciate the effort, but have you bothered watching your own video before posting it? Every time you show us a stitch on your actual material, you can't see squat.

You have no clue how long I've waited for this video from you!!!

Thank you for this video! Just bought my machine-- now I can't wait to use it!
I liked this overview as well, but you could not see the stitches on anything. Wondering if this machine has automatic walking foot?
the two? Also, it would have helped if you used dark thread as could not see the stitches. Thanks

Doesn't all machines come with a user's manual. Mine did.
Can you show how to thread with the automatic lever please???
great demo but I am looking for help in using the stitch program in making quilt labels. can you provide any help???

Glad we could help!
I guess it is kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to stream newly released movies online ?

I found this demo because Viking posted it on Facebook today.

Is there a way to tell the stitch hours in the menu?
What free motion foot fits on this machine. I've checked on Amazon and not sure. I know it's a low shank?

Wish you would have used black fabric with white thread. Can’t see the stitches.
How do you drop the feeder dogs?

What about a walking foot?
Can't get my lettering to work

Hey, you changed your clothes and hair!
