love them browns , should carry a net and have it connected to the vest via magnet. sometimes you do more harm to big fish by having them fight for ever than just netting them and releasing them ASAP but in all you all did good in that water conditions
Hey Bill, I know how you feel. I was at Burt dam Saturday and same results for me. One brown and that was it, left at noon. Very disappointing fall season so far, didn’t see any steelhead caught just a few browns and even those are few and far between. I’m glad you managed to avoid the skunk, the young guns did well.
I was on a dry run bill skunked for weeks..now can’t keep them Off my line lol some nice steel heads.pink peach Sackes been working for me. Some nice browns bill
When everyone else is focused on deer hunting i catch some of the biggest trout of the year in November on certain inlets and outlets especially the bigger lakes in my area, the only browns that i catch that compare in size to fall browns are the ones ive caught trolling, ive told some fishing buddies this but they still dont try their luck at it. Some years ill keep catching them in tailwaters that dont freeze until January.
@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures yes it is, ive been taken by suprise in some smaller tailwaters where the stream is 5 feet across and a max of 3 feet deep, and a 4 to 6 pound brown takes your fly and when they realize they are hooked they peel half your fly line off your reel and there is no stopping them in that skinny water you can only hope they stop their run and give u time to gain control, if not they break you off and you lose your fly, best off in the fall to go with a 4 to 5 foot leader tapered down to 3x with a brown or olive woolly bugger or fish traditional steeamers like the mickey finn or Black ghost
I fish not too far from there. I've been doing great with browns up until about 10days ago. Lots of coho's this year and not a lot of steel head. Although I am starting to see and catch some. In the trib I fish, I'm pretty certain the amount of coho around is having an effect on the brown trout and steelies. I think the coho's are beating them up and they're moving to different places. But IDK. I did notice the numbers of browns while they were running were not as great as in the past. Anyway, I like your content. Keep doin it. Great stuff. Float fishing is the way to go.
thanks man , seemed to be a few more browns than the past few but still lower , Steelhead numbers are still down but i noticed more running late winter to spring last year
My favorite river....believe it or not I made it from your access point all the way to the dam on a motorized paddleboard. 1 hour to go upstream, 5 minutes downstream.
Well not a bad day you guys definitely worked for them and it's nice to get a few browns landed, Its been a few years since I made a trip out there I'm over due.
Yeah, I reckon it was the young guns day, that's alright, like you said you didn't get the skunk and that's about it matters, right? Probably be your time next time, I wouldn't doubt it none! Good deal anyways Bill, and hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving 🦃! 👍👍🤘✌️🍻
It’s sad the state of the trout in the Ontario tribs not gonna get better less we make a big stink about it. Michigan just did that and they increased the king stockings as a result. While also decreasing laker stocking.Hopefully if they do that here, it reduces pressure on the trout in the summer before we can even touch them. Regardless something needs to be done before everyone starts keeping trout for their eggs for the year and further killing the fishing.
Guys have been keeping all the Browns for eggs long as i can remember - reducing the browns to a limit of 1 hasnt helped . i say bring back the domestic bows like they did on Erie and increase the Brown stocking a just bit - fishing was fantastic a few years back - now 3 down years in a row
Hi Bill, idk of you guys read the comments or respond. But I was at the oak today. Parked at the park Ave spot and walked down. First time down there. Anyway, I wanted to get down to that area where you guys were fishing across from the reeds. Do you guys walk the bank all the way down there? Or is there another access point?
Also, I see you guys getting a lot of fish on those jigs that you make. I can't seem to find anything that compares to the ones you guys make. Do you sell them?
Hopefully the state will wake up and fix the dwindling hookups people are experiencing. More fish = more people fishing + more dollars for local businesses that rely on fisherman for making money. No skunking!
I understand people want fast action but some of the most rewarding fish ive caught were after getting skunked for a couple weeks then all of a sudden you catch a monster, thats part of what i like about Trout fishing its not like catching bass and landing a dozen a day, i dont enjoy stocked trout and hooking up every other cast thats not natural in trout fishing unless you hit a hatch just right, holdovers and wild fish are my favorite, some holdover brookies in my area get up to 5 pounds thats a wall mounter anywhere except maybe labrador lol
Always nice to see Mike slamming the browns
thanks ✌🎣
1 fish away from a Skunking for me - No Skunkin 🎣😎
good to see all that all of you guys beat the skunk! I bet when the creeks go back down the erie tribs will be loaded!🎣🎣
thanks man ✌ hard to say if the high flows will bring in a lot of fish but at least a few for sure🎣🤞

thanks man - i try to subdue them quick

Haven't been up to that creek in a while...its been on my mind! No skunkin. Anytime you can land a few browns like that is a good day.
you haven't been missing much - still the same ole grind - NO SKUNKIN✌

Excellent!
Many thanks! ✌
I need to get up to those tributaries!! Nice catches there Mate! What is the name of this tributary?
Oak Orchard river ✌🎣
Do you run any split shot above those maribou jigs?
the smaller jigs 1/16 1/32 i run shot 3' above the bigger ones 1/8 i put the shot right near the float
Bill you work with all Hager right I’m his grad son Mason
yes i see him now and then - good guy ✌ he told about the trip to the Salmon river🎣👍
Yes it was a good time but a little late in the season

most guys walk the bank climbing over and under all the obstacles , not many fish down there last few years though
i hate tying them but i do have a video on how to make them
Well Bills been disappointing lately. You come to watch a sheepshead video I get salmon and browns. Sheesh
The Sheephead have been hard to come by lately ✌ GO BILLS
No skunkin. I'm very surprised that all that snow melted.good day if you catch or get skunked just being out is a plus
They didn't get that much snow out that way - just enough for a decent stain to the water 🎣 NO SKUNKIN
Hopefully the state will wake up and fix the dwindling hookups people are experiencing. More fish = more people fishing + more dollars for local businesses that rely on fisherman for making money. No skunking!
Thanks man ✌ seems theyre more concerned with the lake fishing and keeping the charter boats happy than the stream anglers
